  • AWESOME MUSIC, CONGRATULATIONS

  • Three Questions:

1-Do you have to open your Xbox to run Wasabi? I've got a Fat Model.

2-Can I have my original Xbox 360 HDD conected to console while I'm using Wasabi?

3-If I connect to Xbox Live and I play online with an original game, and Microsoft releases a new dashboard version, and I install it, Can i still using Wasabi, if I use it without Internet connected to Xbox?

  • @noentiendero

    1) Yes. And they have one for both Slim and Phat.

    2) I'm not 100% sure, I haven't gotten it yet.

    3) It has a pass through mode which puts the Wasabi in stealth mode so you can go online, but in stealth you cannpt play your bakups. As of right now, the Wasabi is compatible with the latest dashboard 14719 update.

    I hop this helps.

But you can always just go the official website

  • pero se puede jugar online a juegos originales sin problema?

  • "We'd also like to remind users that our USB to ESATA adapter will start manufacturing soon. This will allow users the maximum amount of convenience to use either an ESATA or a USB HDD."

where can I get the adaper allow to connect my usb HDD?

  • do you need to open your xbox

  • music: 16 Bit Lolitas - Murder Weapon

  • music please!!!

  • I have the wasabi path also Supports TS-H943A ms28 AP25, the wasabi 360 does work? AP25 with this drive is not necessary?. I will leave the original drive and the wasabi used in emulation mode.

  • I have the wasabi pathSupports x360 dvd drive TS-H943A ms28 also AP25, the wasabi 360 Is it working? AP25 with this drive is not necessary?

  • music please...

  • I think he left the tray open to show it's not running off the dvd drive.

  • Does the tray have to be open? That would be not so good.

  • @izri1 its to show that there is no disc being used, it doesnt have to be open

  • TECHNOOO!!!

  • What happened to this...the website is down? This thing gone?

  • chicka chicka boom

  • With porn music also .....Music to F..k M$ to....AWESUM

  • Its only esata? I don't have an esata HDD. Will an SATA to ESATA cable work?

  • @jxsilicon9 Yes it will

  • how can you put games on it ? and can you play online?

  • T-T can i close disc drive after i start the game?

  • just a question ... what is the hard drive connected to?

  • hard is connected to e-sata

  • Does this work with Xbox Live games?

  • This is NOT like JTAG since this can't run homebrew. This is simply an optical drive emulator. It mounts the ISO and acts like the optical drive. You choose the ISO you want in the media menu, Wasabi detects that and mounts that ISO, and then you can play it. Works for multi-disc games using the music selection menu while in-game. Installation is unplugging/plugging cables inside Xbox and cutting one hole in the metal vent (only perm. change). It's ESATA, which is far faster than USB.

  • Also, forgot to mention, although the wode has an lcd screen, it does have a hardguide (virtual iso to load others) and a softguide (such as wodeflow).

Haven't tried my old gamecube games, but multidisk games are filtered in the wodeflow, so it assumed that they are going to autoload in sequence, but are still available on the lcd display.

I assume the xode is going to work similarly.

  • Owning a wode, I would wait for the xode.

    MSRP for wasabi is $99.

MSRP for xode would probably be ~$70-90 (with more features than wasabi)

Wait for price drop or wait for xodejukebox

  • Does the disk drive have to stick out ?

What about multi-game disks (that's why you need the lcd screen) ?

    What about compressed ISOs (WBFS,ISOZ..etc)?

What about region-patching imported disks ?

What about EXT3FS (no such thing as native ntfs support, NTFS-3G implementation is slow. EXT3 is fastest.).

What about network support (instead of hard drive, can I do nfs/sftp/samba with option adapter) ?

I have the wode for my wii, and am waiting for the xode.

  • in holiday i waiting for price drop at 50%

and then i am going to buy

  • Who performer of this music?

  • @ObsessedWIthGTAIV Personally I'd much rather have the storage capacity and price point of a 3.5" external, but from an aesthetic point of view it would be nice. The price probably wouldn't be the nicest, though lol

  • 360 remains the wasabi work after the update of November I hear that this update makes all the emulators disable

  • does this work with PHAT xbox or only slim ones

  • Your only and the best bet would be to have 2 360s. And dedicate one of them for online play only.

  • My only worry is the device will flag my console to be banned.

  • @DafyddCymraeg

That's why you can turn it off with the switch.

  • Straight away people will use this whilst connected to Live and I guarantee they will get banned.

  • @djdavedoc yes the will m$ already thought of this and they will probably be banned they will have to stay offline unless they keep uninstalling it

  • has got to be the disc tray all the time open?? or can you close it?? sorry 4 my bad englisch.

  • @CruzitoRomania This vid was made with the tray open to show to people there no cd in the tray and isn't a cheat.

Also I'm think you can close the tray.

  • Release please :D

  • Erm... I would say cool... but I say "Awesome! A console what can do something what a computer can do since MSDOS!!!!!" >.<

  • looking at the picture, those ODDE's looks so small, but seeing it attached at the sides of the console. its damn big. ^_^, i gotta have this.

  • Its joust a modded xbox360 :P ?!

  • will be for Xbox 360 Elite too?

  • @DubFanLatino The elite's no different from any other xbox, they just changed the case colour

  • I would imagine it would be very easy for Microsoft to be like "oh, there is this thing called the Wasabi 360, let's disable it" and just release a firmware update that blocks the device at the sata port where it connects. I mean it would be so easy for the company to get a hold of one, plug it into their own xbox, and find out how to identify the hardware. I bet they all have the same ID and it would be very easy to release an update that turns off the Wasabi 360.

  • @evsystem It doesnt have to be connected to xbl?

  • @M3aaaqHD I meant if new games come out that require a firmware update, Microsoft can probably do something that disables the Wasabi 360

  • @evsystem You would be surprised. There is always ways around that kinda stuff.

  • @fishcomputer33 Yeah, but if Microsoft did manage to block it temporarily, a lot of people would get mad at Wasabi for claiming it couldn't be blocked, and I bet it would take Wasabi a long time to figure out what microsoft did to block it regardless of how they block it.

  • @evsystem Well I don't follow the 360 modding scene so I wouldn't know. I do own one though so I'm tempted to get one of these since I no-longer buy/play 360 games.

  • даешь HD сука

  • and don't even need to open xbox?

  • Comment removed

  • @Obid95 You have to open it up to connect it to the main board

  • @captainpudding So it's basically like JTAGging. Not that I'm worried but I swear the HDD goes on the bottom of the Xbox 360 Slim, or is this like a dev kit with the sidecar above the console?

  • @MuzzaHukka Not so much JTAGing, that modifies the hardware to let you run unsigned code, all this is is a drive emulator (think of it as mounting an .iso with daemontools on a pc) that tricks your xbox into thinking its playing a dvd. I've never really taken a close look at the slim so i really don't know where the HDD is.

  • @captainpudding What do you solder? Like, do I just connect the SATA to the Wasabi. I MIGHT be getting it so I'm just wondering how difficult it is to install

  • @MuzzaHukka from what i've seen of it, it's just a piggyback, you plug the wassabi into the mainboard of your 360 then plug the dvd drive into the wassabi, 100% solder free. wasabi360(dot)com/download.html there's a pdf of how to install it, looks pretty straightforward.

  • Will this play any 360 ISO like Japanese and Euro exclusive games? or just ones for your region and region free games?

  • this is cool and all but what about multigame discs? when the game asks to change disc how we gonna swap it... :) answer please.

  • @Bispoo

i think u should press X home bottom and go like u did to amount da frst iso ... i said i think :)

  • @Bispoo BlueRay *hust* :D

  • @Bispoo BlueRay *hust* :D

  • @Bispoo Blue-Ray *hust* :D

  • @Bispoo just go back to the menu and load disk 2 usually the save game is already created and it will work...

  • @Bispoo you mean multi disc games:P

  • @Bispoo gringo looks, make it easy for you, when you finish a record first asks you to save, then asks the next album, you get out of the interface of the xbox choose the next disc and play ... ha! mind have to be smart to gringos.

  • @Bispoo This is simple thing, if You installed all dvds on internal HDD, You don't must to change the discs.

  • @Bispoo "ISO's can be trivially swapped in-game thanks to a feature of the Xbox dashboard which allows you to select arbitrary music tracks to play during the game" (taken from website.)

  • @Bispoo for mass effect 2 u can combine the two iso into one for dead space 2 u will have to wait for a hack

  • @Bispoo the way you change CD music tracks ,,while playing a game.. that is the exploit they are working with..you know when you press the xbox button on your controller while you are in a game it pulls up your little screen gop to the right to media management you will see what i am talking about.

  • @Bispoo Good question

  • Will this be safe for Xbox LIVE?

    =)

  • awesome!! can u play online with this?
