uni is defineately cheeper. it about £1000 a year(bout $2000) i heard its massive over there, but many people take stupid degrees, like psycology(most popular subject), comunications studies (wot eva that is) leaving people in debt with few job oppotunities.

i'm at uni now but, once u start school in autumn(fall) when you are 14 to 15, you work towards gcses, where u pick about 10 subjects (usually always including maths and english) then you do 2 academic years to study for the exams. you take the exams at the school year when you are 15-16 in the summer. these are graded from A-star(one above an A) to F.

C and above is regarded as a pass. then from 16 to 18 you pic about 4 subjects to study for, called "A levels", again graded from A to E. every one in the country takes the same exam paper, so every one is tested the same way. they can't keep you back a school year aswel, and you can leave at 16, a-levels are optional
