Love this way of teaching. I mean very clear abd unerstandable the only thing is that its hard work to reach this kind of level even if i tried for a months> I'm not going to stop
@daft667 Hey Dat. It might be hard to notice in the tutorial (because this is sped up considerably), but I am constantly adjusting the opacity and flow of my brushes depending on how boldly or softly I'm painting. Opacity controls how thick the paint comes out, flow controls the softness of the brush. Flow set to about 20-30% creates a softer and more "feathered" brush. I usually play with "hardness" and "flow" to create a very soft brush. 70% is slightly softened..slightly more natural brush.
@kempin090 Well the background is mostly a floor in this case, I don't have a lot of environment elements like trees or props (minus the spool of thread of course). This being a "character-centric" piece, meaning the character is the main focal point, the floor served to provide a little design and theme (swirl in the floor-boards), and ground the character on something. The "blocking" is exactly like the character, base color, lighting, shading, textures etc...It's described in part 6/6.

i have a question; is there a reason why your brush is set at 70% flow?
