  • have you gas can full of gas or have two cans and put one up front.

  • lucky you still have a transom

  • You need to go faster to push through the hop...

  • Gotta weight out the front and then give er hell! If anyone put a 40 horse on a12 foot boat you would know why he is laughing. :)

  • You need to extend the throttle handle with PVC so you can sit on the middle seat.

  • The boat seems to tail heavy too safely utilize full power.

  • pussy, i'd take that full throttle!

  • LOL

  • This is one of the reasons that women outlive men!

  • poor mans drag boat lol he gets scared when the boat starts banging it's just trying to plane go alittle faster and it will stop

  • No idea of planning a boat.

  • where do u get the boat

  • this reassures me, my 12ft jon boat is only rated at 3.5hp and I was nervous about putting on a 10hp.

  • @pyroboy08 how is it, can you go wide open no problem ?

  • @guitardude99999 I haven't bought a motor yet, but I see aluminum boats with transoms no thicker than mine which are rated for 10hp. A buddy of mine has a 25hp on his 12 footer and he doesn't have any issues.

  • that disappointed me

  • Penis!

  • fuck a bitch

  • Man, if you could trim the motor that thing would fly!

  • We got a 15' boat with a 85 Johnson,we cant full the throttle, the boat wants to flip over.

  • Get remotes and a steering wheel, get a seat so that you CAN SEE WHERE YOU ARE GOING and the boat will be just fine. Tiller steering is a disaster and rather dangerous above about 5 knots.

  • @techdavey1000 thanks for the warning safety joe!

  • @techdavey1000 Tillers are the only way to go. Consoles take up half the floor space.

  • got anything bigger or would the weight just sink it then

  • stop hahahahahahahahahahing it sounds like a girl hahahahahah

  • 49 people have a canoe

  • @dizza1993 canoes are better for fishing.

  • put the gas tank up front

  • ha ha, looks like fun

  • wtf.wow

  • so do u think this is some kind of new thing? and no gut half throttl wus. i need to convert my vhs to digital of my uncle and myself with a 14 ft jon on lake powell pushed by a 75 hp jhonson. talk about fun and air lol.

  • Is this in P.A.?

  • CRAZY!! Try some weight in the front of the boat for one, & two, how did you get the transom to hold up because it couldn't be rated for more than 15hp?

  • Cool.

Tried a 16 HP on a selvfmade 8 fot boat once...

    Scary.....We almost did zink..

  • i cant beleave you put that 40 on a 12 foot boat lol

  • yup its a boat...

  • It would work a lot better if you adjust the trim. Adjusted correctly, when you add power the hull would stay level, not kick up like that. It is an easy fix, but you should get a real mechanic to do it for you.

  • what a HOPPIN' SOME-BICH!

  • all he needs is a wale tale and it would stop it from bouncing

  • put another person in the front and it will plane off and handle better and be fast it needs the weight in the front to balence out the motor then itll be a nice boat a fifteen or nine point nine would really be better for one person tho nice video

  • motor is trimmed up too much?

  • Just watching that thing reverse off the trailer I thought the water was gonna pour over the transom.

  • Just watching that thing reverse off the trailer I thought the water was gonna poor over the transom.

  • penis!!!!!!!

  • @freemanbrook Wanna bet !!!!!

  • I've been in boats all my life and know that if you have too much weight in the back it's gonna hop like that. They have a name for it ,we used to get our boats to do it on purpose but we weren't running that much power. Please do me a favour,if I let you know ahead of time where I'm boating, even though it's in Canada, please DON'T be there...

  • @sexysizesix

    Its called "porpoising"

  • @ThePauperPrepper Thanks couldn't think of it...

  • @sexysizesix calm down.

  • @wmaxson WHAT ?????

  • Only in Pennsyltucky. I have a 4 hp for my canoe. I wanted a six but couldn't afford a 6 horse. I'll put the video up of my canoe cruisin up river.

  • Only in Pennsyltucky.

  • Smooth trailering move. I'm impressed.

  • When I was young,I had a boat like that with a 20 horse johnson. We would water ski off it on the Hudson River...It would go 30 wioth one person,I used to run along side the Day Liner from N.Y.C.

  • hmmmm i got a 40 mariner on a 14foot xcraft and im running almost 50 real lite boat and if u put some bricks in da front to stop it from bouncin but not to much case it will nose dive u put just enouf and u will pick up a few mph cause the bouncin slowes u down

  • At least you have common sense to put a life jacket on! Is that a Starcraft?

  • my friends have a 12ft starcraft and it looks just like it

  • Dont listen to em son.......they didnt know crap at your age and sounds like they still dont. Is there any more notches that will let you tilt you motor back down into the water or is it already dropped all the way down? You may have to add some weight in the middle or fore. Ask an old salty dawg. You got plenty of prop. Be carefull and have fun. I ve have been there and done that plus alot more crazy stuff. Some just wish.

  • @kirbylee57 Laughin my ass off, my friend and I once put a 50 on a small Sea Flea!

  • first of all you need to turn around and face forward, then put in a midships steering and throttle to get some weight up front

  • @willbaguley9000 just taking it to new level.

  • I have a new 16' extra wide and deep Vbottom Starcraft with helm but no motor and the Boat and everything including twin Bildges and Livewell aerators work great. It is rated for up to 75hp. What would you all reccommend for my HP on a good used motor. Cant afford to drop the coin they want for a new one. Thanks and good video.

  • HAHA !! throw a hydrofoil on that motor, it would stabilize the boat and you'd plane on full throttle no problem

  • all that power and no BALLS

  • @mightymack91

Mighttymack just looked at his crotch...

  • ive got a 20 horse on a 12ft does about 40 mils an hour, had to ut steering and trottle controls in it to move my self up to ge tthe bow to stay down, running a 12ft jon boat lol very shalow hull on it

  • wot tf you laughing at ffs. put the engine on the next peg out to stop it porpusing it will go like f--k with that evinrude 40 on

  • why dont you sit facinf forwards an open the thing up , drive it like you stole the thing mate lol

  • try putting your full gas tank as far forward as your fuel line will let you. i have a 60hp on a boat shallower then that and it flies.. :)

  • hit the f**ckin gas.........you weak

  • put some one in the front of buy a tiller extention and you'll be flyin

  • sorry all. sold my quintrex about 4 months ago for 4g aus

  • careful the transom dosent snap! hahahah jk cool though

  • iev got a 9.9 on my 14 ffooter and it halls but i gos like 20

  • If this guy could only find a fat friend to ride up front, he would be cruisin! lmao

  • lay it's ears back !!!!!!!!

  • I've got a 40hp on a 3.0m stessl...

  • i was expecting something cool, this was nothing but normal stuff, ive seen 40 hp motors on 12 to 16 boats before, not that big of a deal

  • put another person in it for some weight and you could really cut through those waves

  • not much speed

  • Nice Cajun Rocket!!!

  • nice laugh :P

  • do you have a video of it

  • i got a 08 quintrex 375dart with a 04 model yamaha 30hp 3 cyl and that moves nice :) its for sale too! message me or somthing if anyone is interested!

  • hey is that quintrex still for sale, if so i would be interested can u send me some details including price, location, boat, engine

    cheers

  • @pocketrocket36 have you sold the boat yet?????????

  • what the hell is the point it is still slow?!?!

  • ive got a 14 ft rib boat with a 45 on it and it does 58

  • you need a tiller extension.

  • why is the camera man laughing like he farted and tickeled his nuts?

  • @hitdapipe cause he has a 40hp on a fuckin clown boat

  • I've got a 14 foot aluminum with a 40 hp on it. I wish i could get my hands on 50 or 60 just to try it out.

  • I have 1998 Johnson Tiller TT..20inch for sale call me at 518-374-2001

  • I would give you a call if i could afford another motor. I haven't bought a motor in many years. The 40 i'm using now is a 73 johnson commercial. Best running motor i've ever seen. It's never had to be taken in to be fixed. Sorry, but i'm gonna have to pass.

  • put a 350 hp on that lol

  • it would sink. lol

  • probably lol, i should try it :D

my dads boat has a 350hp and i know how to take it off and everything, all i got to do is buy a 12ft. john boat

  • Make sure to bring a cameraman.

  • my uncle who died has one with 50 hp i think its a 19 ft aluminum idk

  • Too much HP.

  • weight in the front idiot

  • Would it take so much of your time that you couldn't put some weight in the bow of that boat?

  • Put some weight in the bow!

  • @51362879

yeah exactly then it would really move

  • I like the power lines in the water.... makes me feel all warm and fuzzy.

  • give it to it ya fagot

  • dude u need weight in the front. it's pourposing. like a whale!. the bow goes up and down up and down. take the pin out of the trim and give er'. u cant even plane out good. shit is weak!

  • fuck off and stop being a bitch and open her up you pussy

  • hahahahahah fuck ya tell it like it is!!!

  • this boat would run fine if the motor was set down a little and you run it wide open. maybe add some dol-fins to the lower unit.

it's not too over powered - the motor is not correctly set / installed.

  • what is it with you people trying to over power you dinky little rowboats. lameeee.

  • skiracer your a fag

  • ha wow. if you think this is cool then you people need to get a life. oh yeah and i'm not a fag. your an idiot.

  • hahaha wow, i bet you spent all night thinking of that didn't you? way to be uptight jackass.

  • It took me 2 weeks of laying awake in bed all night to come up with that. I write down other peoples comments in a notebook, and then I study them for weeks... sometimes months to come up with the perfect reply. I'm just hoping someday I will be able to come up with witty comments at the drop of a hat...

  • lameeee, if you pronounce it the way you spell it it's : lame-eeeee moron. dus houd je bek anders kom ik achter je aan en klap je voor je muil, stinkaap

  • my 6 hp works fine

  • not 4 goin fast

  • nuts

  • Who dislikes a video like this?

    48 people?

  • lol. How cool is it to see a jon boat going that fast down the water.

  • jon boats should hit abotu 20-30

  • lol at the camera guy giggling

  • So i was really waiting for the dang transom to blow completly out of the back of this boat. Funny but dumb theres no way that boat even needs a 9 hp at the max.....

  • its so light, if it had wings it could fly :D

  • shud put the fuel tank in the front

  • That boat is perfect for 6-8 guys on Friday night with a couple cases of beer. It would be a lot more stable with the extra weight and you could really run that bitch down the river at full speed.

  • @bbc789789 redneck...6-8 guys in an aluminum boat?

  • @bbc789789 hell yeah!!!!

  • @bbc789789 lol, look at the size of it. The boat would sink if done that way :-) Nevertheless a good Idea anyway ...

  • go by the weight of the boat, how many horse paower per pond?? that thing is like a big block on a lawn mower

  • thats a lot of torq for that little boat just dont gun it ule prolly flip or tear the back of the boat off lol ide like to see that

  • That's a little nuts for a boat like that. But then maybe if you had a fat lady in the front you might have a chance. My adage when it comes to powering a boat is. Keep adding power till it flips. When it flips go back 10hp

  • never over half throttle. haha thats a bit soft, i have a 40hp on my 12 foot tinny and with 3 people in it, it keeps up with some jet ski's!! its fukn sick! it looks huge on the boat! and pulls a skier out of the water!

  • thats the coolest video I have ever seen that boats bad

  • dude...i run 51 with my merc 40 on a 15 48.

Thats with 2 battery and my trolling motor, its nothing to run 45 with a 40

  • try and open her UP... Thats pretty slow for a 40HP. Your boad need better trimming..try adding a bit of weight to the bow..also add a fin to the engine...or better still add a fin to the back of the boat.

This will help with helping the boad to sit up and plain...reckon you could do about 45 ??

  • woah your soo cool

  • lol thats awsome

  • beyond booooring

    "Deliverance" 1971

    revisited

  • i put twin 25 on a 14 foot john boat. its bad ass

  • thats insane

  • can anyone tell me where i can get a boat like that but no water i want one for my backyard lake i live in Miami Florida i dont care if it is used or new but i dont need a trailer or motor and under $500 please help

  • have you tried craigslist???

  • anywhere you idiot

  • i have a 12 ft boat with a 20 on it and its alot deeper than that and all i do is put weight in the front and i added a stingray fin on it and it works fine. i dont no how that would do with a 40 though lol

  • you need a jack plate then u should be good lol! this should go 50mph with plate and a nuff booze!!!

  • If you do want to open it right up you need to have someone in the front of the boat with you to do that

  • full throttle plz

  • weight forward and up with the trim

  • Badass landing.

I suppose technically you could put someone in the front to balance the load, but then there's two swimmers to have to rescue when the motor rips the transom off :-)

  • adjust the tilt and trim you idiot,,,,lol

  • You need to a get some heavy people in the front to level that thing out.

  • Floor it grandma

  • holy shit

i have a 12-ft with a 20 hp yamaha and it's a snail compared to that at full throttle and it does like 35 - 40. a we tested it with a gps.

  • That was a really nice trailer landing as NonRider said. I also have to agree that you could get a lot more out of it if you had someone else sitting near the bow or some weight in there to even the boat out. Remember that boat was designed for a 10 hp most likely, which is quite a bit lighter. You should reinforce the transom with some supports to hold the weight. Maybe mount steering up front would be a great ride then. Where in PA was this? Blue Marsh?

  • jack it up

  • if you put a little more weight on the bow you would be fine

  • NICE. A buddy of mine wanted to do that with a 14' Gregor... he's got a 35HP he's going to bolt on, in an attempt to deep 6 himself, and the boat.

If you could get that porpoising under control, you could possibly see 45-50 MPH I'd think? That'd be a pretty scary ride. Oh, and nice trailer landing.

  • what a dumb ass

  • this guy doesnt know how to drive ,hes facing the motor, and this boat wide open wont run much over 40mph,doesnt have enough prop.looks like a 1976 40 tiller pretty rare motor ,liked to have it.got lucky with the trailer

  • i was facing the motor cause i was holding it with my other hand there was alot of torque steer.. and the motor wasnt rare at all it was just a normal motor that i put a tiller handle on.

  • you put the tiller on, cool what did the tiller come off of .

  • no idea i bought it off ebay

  • What's up with the power lines hanging into the water!?!

  • I'm most impressed with the dead on trailer landing. Did all the rivets loosen up yet?

  • dummy with the camera shut up!! private pyle

  • we had a 40h on our wee boat found if you sit up the front it plains out real quick and fuck it went for it we clookt it at 100k and that was only huff throtle

  • I thought the starcraft boat did a marvelous job

  • Your Trimmed up to much. Trim down or lower the whole motor on the transom and it will go way better.

  • folle!

  • Any faster in reverse and he would have had water up to his knees!
