  • Sometimes i hate americans! WTF? It feels like he beat Hitler?! Shut the fuck up! Max Schmeling was no Nazi! Fuck man understand it not every german was a nazi!!!! Spashaly Schmeling! And fuck yes Max Schmeling is 100% on of the fucking 20 best Boxers ever!!!

  • I don't see how you can leave out Khaosai Galaxy, Joe Calzaghe, Bernard Hopkins or Ricardo Lopez from any top 20 list. This list was WAY too American centric and WAY too heavyweight centric.

  • cesar chavez won 86 victorys without hitting the floor and loosing and espn has Mr.Chavez as 19 wtf espn #1

  • well if he started out boxing at 13, 14 ,15 rounds I believe he would of been conditioned for it and plus you heard the man, "if you can magically put jones with anybody from any era who beats him, who ? "obviously I'am not the only one who feels this way and thats just what it is

  • ROY JONES JR WOULD OF BEAT EVERYONE ON THIS LIST AND NOBODY CAN'T GIVE A REASON TO WHY HE WOULDN'T OF

  • @weouthere2 I;ll give you a reason, his last 10 fights!

  • @boxinginfo the only reason roy started losing is because he went up to hw and came back down to Lhw and it took a toll on his body, none of these other guys done it

  • @weouthere2 Bob Fitzsimmons won the LH a after losing the Heavyweight title. So it could be done

  • @boxinginfo yeah he lost the hw title jones won the hw title and came back down to Lhw with the little bit of strength he had and still won, so its no need to keep going back and forth with me cause you know roy would of beat all these dudes, 1 brother

  • @weouthere2 NO I don't know Roy would have beaten all these dudes the assertion is ridiculous. And for all the weight excuses people use, nobody ever begs to ask the question how would Jones have fared vs Hagler, Leonard, Hearns or Robinson since he had never seen a 13th, 14th or 15th round? Those guys did multiple times.

Personally I believe Jones belongs on this list a heel of lot more than Tyson or Holyfield but to think he's better than ll of them is ludicrous.

  • @weouthere2 - Heres another... that less than concrete chin of his.

  • @weouthere2 Is this suppose to be funny? Roy, by his own admission, says he would ALWAYS have had problems with Tarver. A guy who was always going to trouble him. He'd have had no chance against a prime Holmes, Ali, Foreman, Marciano, Tyson...

  • holyfeild should be in top 10

  • @sk8tillyadrop, Holyfield shouldn't be in this list at all, never mind in the top 10. Nope, great Cruiserweight (not that that means all that much), very, very good Heavyweight, but simply not a top 20 pound for pound fighter of all time. Not even close, in fact.

  • @RihannasBikeSeat yehh not top ten that was bias because holyfeild is one of my favorites, but i recon he does deserve a top 20 spot. i recon where they put him in this list is about right

  • So Mike Tyson made this list and Lennox Lewis didn't? Wtf?

  • Rocky Marciano is not #1#???

    nice list hahaha

  • @x777viper he is 1# ;)

  • @x777viper Dude like the boxing experts say. Ali is the greatest of all time.

  • @ImKoolWithThis No, as far as heavyweights are concerned, I'd have to go with Joe louis over Ali, he's just the better all round boxer. As for the greatest of all time?...Ray Robinson, every time!

  • @Thournevald - I agree. Louis over Ali.

  • nice

  • great list

  • rocky balboa is number 1 he beat clubber lang

  • 1 Langford 2 Robinson 3 Greb 4 Armstrong 5 Pep 6 Louis 7 B Leonard 8 Duran 9 Wilde 10 Gans 11 Monzon 12 Moore 13 Dempsey 14 Johnson 15 Ali 16 Chavez 17 Hagler 18 Marciano 19 Charles 20 Jofre

    Just my opinion.

  • @crowley0312 - All great fighters!

  • @1899sharkey Thanks :)

  • Comment removed

  • absolute bullshit that tyson was put in 16 no one would beat him his prime not even ali

  • @MrDutto, the only 'bullshit' here is that he even made the list at all. He shouldn't be here.

  • @MrDutto Tyson is over rated. Lennox Lewis didn't even make the list and Tyson did? That's bull shit. Ali would dance all night and Tyson would get dizzy and get knocked out.

  • why meldrick taylor wasnt in this list??? julio cecar chavez was in this list and meldrik taylor beated julio and humiliated him!!! evander holyfield beated tyson 2 times and tyson had nothing to holyfield and tyson 16 in the list and holyfield was 18 in the list!!! this list makes no fucking sense

  • @ArSportsShow thats only 1 fight maybe boxing is about style makes fight just cuz marquez gave pacquiao trouble doesnt mean his career is in the same level as pacquiaio

  • @kenndiata Marquez is a lot more better than pacquiao, marquez beated pacquiao 3 times

  • @ArSportsShow sure but pacquiao has better career than him

  • @ArSportsShow Pacquiao "beated" Marquez three times.

  • @crowley0312 pacquiao beat the shit out of my ass those 3 times asshole !!! all 3 times was stolen !

  • @buzzzzzzme I'm willing to bet you havent even seen the first two, or even the third. The judge that gave the first bout a tie counted wrong. Manny should have had 10-6, not 10-7, because he decked Marquez three times. Manny was robbed, Marquez was robbed. It's all even.

  • @ArSportsShow hell no! julio cesar chavez knocked taylor out two times in two fights! Julio Cesar Chavez was the best he knocked Meldrick taylor out easy!

  • @777MexicanPride777 why dont you go watch that fight, meldrik taylor dominated julio cecar chavez all 15 rounds. and when there was 2 seconds left julio knocked meldrik down and meldrik got up but the refereee was so fucking idiot that he stopped the fight. meldrik defeated julio EASY

  • @ArSportsShow it was 11 rounds and chavez dominated him in the 12 and knocked him out! in the second remtach chavez knocked him out even more easy in the 8th round

  • @777MexicanPride777 He, your name is mexican pride, offcourse you are going to try to defend your mexican fighter, so am not gonna stop you from doing it, you and I know that julio got dominated by taylor and he lost, sorry. Dont even answer this comment couse I already proved you wrong so I dont care I dont have time to argue in internet

  • @ArSportsShow who won both of the fights? julio did

  • @ArSportsShow But the list is made up of fighters with outstanding careers, and Chavez had an overall better career than Taylor. I love Taylor, one of the fastest fighters ever. That fight is in my top five. Though Taylor landed many flurries, he also missed a lot, and Chavez took advantage of that by throwing the harder punch. The rules of boxing dictate that the man who lands more wins, which he did. But, to be honest, Chavez was the one inflicting the punishment in each round.

  • How the hell could they put Tyson and Holyfield on this list without putting lennox Lewis, typical American bullshit he beat both of them and didn't lose to either.

  • @AngryApeTV Tyson was a drug-addict shadow of his former self. Everyone knows Holyfield won the first fight,

  • @AngryApeTV That is exactly what I was gunna type. I can't believe Lewis was not on the list. & I also think that Rocky Marciano should have been 1 or 2

  • Mohammad Ali was truely the best of all boxers...He did it all the way and everyone loves him not just in the US but around the world !

  • AND ROBINSON 1ST...STUPID BOXIN FANS

  • henry armstrong 2nd!

  • 1 ALI 2 MARCIANO 3 ROBINSON 4 SUGAR RAY LEONARD 5 CARLOS MONZON 7 JAKE LA MOTTA 8 JOE LOUIS 9 AZUMAH NELSON 10 MARVIN HAGLER

  • My List! category:champinoship achievement, over all skill, charisma, Destruction to opponent, beat elite fighters.. 1.pacquaio 2.sugar ray robinson 3.muhhamad ali 4. roy jones 5. duran 6. sugar ray leonard 7. Julio cezar chavez jr 8. mike tyson 9. Henry armstrong 10. Joe louis

  • @millerchess2186 no. 1 pacquiao haha

  • Instead of debating -> post your own. I've had some time to think about it and here's my new top 20:

Sugar Ray Robinson, Ali, Henry Armstrong, Joe Loius, Willie Pep, Rocky Marciano (didn't realize he did have several quality wins), Roberto Duran, Sugar Ray Leonard, Mayweather Jr., Marvin Hagler, Joe Frazier, Roy Jones Jr., George Foreman, Pacquiao, Julio Ceasar Chavez, Archie Moore, Calzaghe, Jack Johnson.

  • Mike Tyson was way underrated, he fucked up his carrer, didnt took it seriously thats why he began loosing, drugs, alcohol, women etc.

  • @emman325135 ehh all those things you mention explain why he's a chump, not a legend

I guess you meant "most overrated"

  • @emman325135 He was actually OVER RATED

  • the greatest is fucking Rocky Marciano "HE'S UNDEFEATED" and he beat Joe Louis i dont care if he was 75 he still beat him and he fucked ali up with a "ONE PUNCH KO" Ali cant be # 1 if he got ko by #4 dont get me rong ali is a legend i just dont think hes the greatest #2 or #3 in my opinion.......

  • @GODFATHA96, Marciano and Ali never fought, idiot. Unless you really are stupid enough to think that their late sixties, just-for-money COMPUTERISED simulation bout counts...Duh! Marciano was great, but competition counts - and his wasn't as good as many others faced. Men like Joe Calzaghe, Ricardo Lopez, Jimmy Barry, Sven Ottke, Laszlo Papp, Jack McAuliffe, Terry Marsh etc all finished undefeated as well - doesn't automatically mean they were top 10 material.

  • @RihannasBikeSeat How many of those guys beat Joe Louis, Ezzard Charles twice, and Jersey Joe Walcott twice?

Forget the video games and simulations I rank Ali ahead of Marciano as well but we shouldn't try to shortchange Marciano.

  • @boxinginfo, I don't think I'm really 'shortchanging' Marciano. He was a great fighter but, if we look at all weight divisions, his competition doesn't entitle him to a top 10 pound for pound spot. The competition he faced was the best available at the time, but can't realistically be compared to the men who the Leonards, Duran, Langford, Ali, Armstrong, Canzoneri and many others had to beat to establish their legacies. Louis & Charles were still dangerous but well removed from their primes.

  • @RihannasBikeSeat Agreed BUT you have changed the competition comparison from Sven Ottke, Ricardo Lopez, Joe Calzaghe, etc to Leonard,Duran, Armstrong etc. You have to agree w/me on a couple of things. First Marciano is only 1 of 3 men to EVER defeat Joe Louis, and Marciano beat one of those other two (Charles) twice. 5 wins over Walcott,Louis & Charles are all HOFers. Start looking for how many HOFers R Lopez, Ottke, and Calzage have wins over.

  • @boxinginfo, my initial examples may have seemed churlish, but they are being taken out of context. Certain people, when they talk of Marciano, seem to think that being undefeated is enough on it's own to give him a divine right to a top 10 spot, regardless of who he faced. I brought those names up to highlight that this simply isn't the case. Now obviously, Marciano did beat better names than that first group I mentioned, but the point remains that he's behind many others in that respect, too.

  • @RihannasBikeSeat I totally understand. With the exception of Ali, very few heavyweights can boast about the level of their competition over their entire career be it Jack Johnson who ducked other black fighters or Dempsey who ducked them all, or Louis, or Holmes, or Tyson. They did like you said of Marciano they fought the best that was out there. IMO the mystique around Marciano is that magical number of 49-0 that nobody including Lopez was able to eclipse cleanly.

  • @boxinginfo, agree 100% with your point regarding the Heavyweights. The division, with the odd exception here and there, hasn't been all that strong historically-speaking, often lacking in depth. Ali and Louis would be the only two full-time Heavyweights in my pound for pound top 20 (obviously, I'm not counting guys like Charles, Langford, Fizsimmons, Tunney etc as full-time Heavyweights here).

  • @GODFATHA96 Marciano was good, but Ali was better. The big reason: The level of competition he faced. You just said it, he beat an old Louis. But, Ali reigned in the golden era of Heavyweight competition, never before had there been so many legends facing off against each other at one time, and Ali defeated all of them. This is the big reason why Ali is always going to be ranked higher than Rocky.

  • HW: Ali

    p4p: Robinson

  • julio cesar19???? wtf bullshit list

  • its funny when ali was on top like Tyson muslims, lost when met people who entitled christian !! funny huh

  • @frank0067 Are you saying that Cassius Clay was undefeated yet he started losing after he became Ali? Tyson was taken out long before he found Islam not that I'm for it or against it I'm just asking.

  • @boxinginfo well ya its funny isnt it.. how life is

  • what is Tyson doing on 16th place? He should atleast be in the top 5.

  • @1234WeeDee, it's a joke that he's even on the list. Your top 5 claim is comical at best, tragic at worst.

  • @1234WeeDee Better question is WTF is he doing on the list to begin with?Ali,Jack Johnson,Joe Louis, Rocky Marciano,Jack Dempsey and or Gene Tunney there are 5-6 Haevyweights ALONE Tyson will never be rated higher than.If we took the top 5 from all the original 8 weight classes ONLY Tyson's best place would be between 40 and 50 realistically. This video is a CONTRADICTION of a list ESPN did back in 2007 on their website where the had Tyson come in at #50 out of 50. Holyfield didn't even make it.

  • @1234WeeDee nonono, not boxers as in a certain breed of dogs, this is about pugilists

  • IDGAF What you people say Julio cesar chavez is top 10

Roberto Duran...Your telling me that NO MAS Duran is better than chavez???

Hhahahaha Give me a fucking break !!!

  • @garibay711cod, Duran belongs above Chavez, absolutely. No mistake there.

  • YOUR right this is BS rating purely politicle...

WHO was the guy who KNOCKED out ALI and himself never got beaten???

the greatest boxer of all time ROCKY Marciano !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @frank0067, I'll let you figure out why you've just totally embarrassed yourself with that comment there, buddy.

  • ESPN rankings are bias bullshit with every sport. Always have been.

  • Comment removed

  • Greatest based on who is the bias media and draft dodger darling. Had 5 Fixed Crooked Fight scoring victories given to him.

  • This is bias BS rankings

  • rocky marciano should have been first... he was undefeated, ali should have been second, tyson number 10-7 and frazer number 5

  • where is mayweather?? wdf lol

  • @ComputerMC A great Q. PBF and Pacquiao both defintely deserve to be on this list. Maybe you needed to already be retired to get on it ;o). Jack Johnson looks interesting to me. Never seen footage of him before this. Some aspects of what he does are reminiscent of Ali.

  • Ali KO'd 2/3 of the top ten HW's of all time, and his speed was measured to be more than Robinson and equal to Bruce Lee's.

  • In my opinion the to 5 should be:

    5. Mike Tyson (No-one could beat him at his best)

    4. George Foreman

    3. Joe Louis

    2. Mohammed Ali

    1. Rocky Marciano (Not just the only undefeated heavyweight world champion in the history of boxing but also Ali himself said he thinks he *might* beat Marciano but not knock him out).

  • chavez should of been ahead of tyson

  • The speakers in this video can kiss my ass. Tyson got no repsect by those idiots. Dont they realise Tysons downfall was losing his trainer & going to prison? He would have dominated those 10-15yrs if he stayed in shape. Before prison his ducking & weaving was legendary, he was literally untouchable. His speed was good & his power was insane. Tyson suffered from gonorrhea in the Buster fight, also he was mentally stressed over his relationsip with his wife....dont none of that count?

  • @realityIZanILLUSION, no, it doesn't count. There are no ifs, buts and maybes in boxing, just results. And don't give me all that 'Oh, but Mike was feeling a little weepy in his personal life before the Douglas fight' nonsense. Do you know all the things that Douglas was going through beforehand? Moreover, do you think Tyson is the only fighter in history to suffer with personal problems? Funny how Tyson groupies act as if such things are only an issue to Tyson, but nobody else.

  • @RihannasBikeSeat lol obviously ur not a sportsman, also u have no clue about life & the effect circumstances have over a mans psychology. If u honestly believe any boxer in history had the same or worse hardship as Mike then u are dillusional. A man can be a beast & built like a tank, but if his mind is distracted then he will break. "Weepy" are u stupid or just immature? His wife went on national TV & told lies about him & destroyed his image. Go learn something. What do u know about pressure?

  • @realityIZanILLUSION, dear me, like most Tyson fanboys you're clearly too thick / lazy to actually learn the sport before commenting. Go and read up about Matthew Saad Muhammad, Barney Ross, Lionel Rose, Sonny Liston, Les Darcy etc before sputing your 'Nobody had it as hard as Mike' bullshit. Ha ha, the old Givens excuse now, eh? Aaaww, she said nasty things - but Tyson's wife beating and adultery doesn't come in to consideration? Excuses, excuses, excuses.

  • @RihannasBikeSeat Mike wasnt his usual self at the Buster fight...that was clearly obvious. I guess people want to see him lose so badly that they dont accept it. 1 loser on another vid said Lewis was better than Tyson coz he beat him...again, Tyson was done by that point in his career. If u cant see a difference in Tyson after 1990 then u need to watch more of his fights. Like I said, Tyson suffered from gonorrhea in the Buster fight & he was on medication that effected his performance.Learn it

  • @realityIZanILLUSION, as for Tyson - Douglas was 42-1 for a reason. Tyson should have beaten him, simple as that. Again, I ask - you think Tyson had more problems at the time than Douglas did? (By the way, the STD was for the Berbick fight, not Douglas). It's the same as the Holyfield fights - noone was saying Tyson was shot before, and Holyfield was older, past his best, had looked awful in previous fights. All of a sudden when Tyson loses, the same old excuses. BORING!!!

  • @RihannasBikeSeat No the gonorrhea was the Buster fight. Holyfield was great. He didnt allow Mike the opportunity to release flurries, he would tie him up whenever he got a chance. Holyfield did great on his part (except for the headbutts that cut Mike). Mike still had potential for that fight but again he wasnt the same. When released from prison he stopped training as hard as he used to. He was partying & taking drugs etc..Mike was the best boxer, he just had a crap career...big difference.

  • @realityIZanILLUSION, for the last time, the STD was before Berbick, not Douglas. Take a look at the 2009 'Tyson' documentary & get it straight from the horse's mouth. Regardless of that, there is no excuse for taking a hiding like that from a journeyman in the middle of your prime (don't bother with the pathetic 'he was no longer prime' stuff, either). Tyson had a crap career? Not at all, he had a very, very good one. And that's just it - he was a very, very good boxer, not a truly 'great' one.

  • @RihannasBikeSeat yeah u right about the std. Regardless, he was not training for the Douglas fight, he got dropped by his sparring partner, he was partying & abusing drugs etc...he didnt take the fight seriously. Thats why he lost. Like u said he should have beat him. He easily had the potential but he wasnt 100% like normal. I say Tyson could have beat anybody when he was in his prime & was focussed. Anyways,my comment was that these stupid speakers are talking like they personally hate Tyson.

  • @RihannasBikeSeat From 85-90 Mike was untouchable. Since firing his trainer he was never the same again. He never recovered from the Douglas loss & began a downward spiral that continued til his retirement. Mike post 1990 was definately not the Mike of pre 1990. I think he would have easily ko'd Ali if both faced each other in their primes....and I mean EASILY. I see nothing special about Ali, infact I think he was slow, I dont know why they say he was fast. Mike would have killed him.

  • @realityIZanILLUSION, Jesus H Christ...Tyson couldn't knock out Tillis, Green, Tucker or Smith - don't you realise how ridiculous and clueless you sound stating that he'd then, somehow, knock out Ali 'easily'?? Nothing special / fast about Ali? I guess I imagined him bewildering the most feared Heavyweight champion of all time in Liston with his quicksilver attacks. How can you seriously spout this Tyson 'prime' guff when he did nothing in his 'prime' which many others hadn't already? Christ...

  • @RihannasBikeSeat Its not about what Tyson had done or what another fighter had done. Its about Tyson being fast, elusive & strong. He was just as fast & elusive as the best in the sport, but his power was on another level. His style broke everyone...it would do the same to anyone. EASILY destroy Ali

  • @realityIZanILLUSION, I think you maybe need to actually watch a Tyson fight all the way through rather than his highlight reels. The writing was on the wall as early as the Tillis fight that, eventually, a 5'10" Heavyweight with a short reach like Tyson would have serious troubles against a capable opponent who could consistently stick and move behind a jab. Hell, Tyson even ran out of ideas against the spoiling Smith. Against Ali, Tyson would unfold late on like he always did.

  • @realityIZanILLUSION Question if all of what you said is reality then riddle me this. How did Mike Tyson let James Tillis, Bonecrusher Smith, and Tony Tucker stink out the place against him& Tucker nearly knocked him down w/ a left uppercut in the 1st round. You see the guys who were young and hungry not there for a payday to lay down actually gave him trouble in his prime. I actually watched all his fights when they happened I didn't learn about him from video games or legend (not that you did)

  • @realityIZanILLUSION - Your hero was a coward who raped little girls and knocked over old women to steal their purses. He would of CRACKED against atg.

  • @1899sharkey Oh u must think I give a shit about Mike enough to worry about your pathetic comment huh? What does Mikes past have to do with boxing? Youre stuck in the past. Bruce Lee was my hero. Not a boxer but a real martial artist. I respect Mike as a boxer but boxing in general is weak....its for COWARDS who dont have the ability, skill, talent & dedication to learn how to use more effective weapons than punching. Not 1 boxing great will survive 1 round against a mixed martial artist. Piece :)

  • @realityIZanILLUSION, guess you missed Mercer-Sylvia, then!?

MMA fighters = jack of all trades, master of none.

Boxing, ah, now there's a real sport.

  • @RihannasBikeSeat lol the reason why MMA fighters are usually better than any other fighter who trains in an art is because of that very fact that they are jack of all trades. A master boxer, master wrestler, master jiujitsiu guy, master kicker (TKD) all get their asses kicked by a jack of all trades who trains a little in all areas. Specialisation is not an advantage, its a disadvantage....unless u master all areas ie. Standup, clinch & ground. Boxers are only half of standup.

  • @RihannasBikeSeat Mercer vs Sylvia is the only fight that boxers are proud about lol, do u know how many boxers have failed? lol. One happens to win....big deal. MMA guys always have a chance to ko their opponent by a punch...therefore boxers have that same opportunity but the chances of winning against a guy who trains all areas is very slim. If the boxer trains to defend kicks, especially to the legs & learns some wrestling & BJJ then yeah he will equal the playing field.

  • @realityIZanILLUSION, see, you MMA fans operate under the assumption that we care about all this 'who'd win in a street fight' bollocks. We don't. I'm a boxing fan and I couldn't give a shit if MMA means that they would win in a scrap in a pub. MMA is boring, I don't like it, and it lacks the technical expertise of boxing.

  • @RihannasBikeSeat It has nothing to do with a streetfight. MMA began as a competition for each art to compete with each other to see which was the most dominant art. BJJ proved to be dominant by destroying every form of striker with ease. After a while the fighters started cross training, strikers trained grappling & grapplers trained striking. Now nobody competes unless they are well versed in all areas because they learned from the past. Boxers did not evolve like the rest

  • @RihannasBikeSeat MMA is much more technical than boxing...MUCH MORE. MMA guys train boxing so how can u say boxing is more technical? In addition MMA guys learn wrestling which is very technical, they learn BJJ which on its own is MORE technical than boxing, Muay thai is MORE technical than boxing. Boxing is only like 20% of the total MMA skillset lol...u may not like it thats fine but boxing not even close to MMA. U dont understand it thats why u think boxing is more technical.

  • im sorry but just because jack johnson was the first black champion doesent mean he should be on this list that's fucking absurd johnson isen't even a top 10 heavyweight

  • @malcolmscotty1 ture

  • floyd mayweather jr is ducking manny like how sugar ray ducked hagler

  • dident jack dempsey use loaded gloves for years?

  • @malcolmscotty1 - Yep. John F. Kennedy and Elvis are doing well on a pacific island also.

  • @1899sharkey lol

  • wtf half of these boxers are heavyweights.

  • Roy Jones Jr ahead of Roberto Duran....LOL. This list is so random

  • i like how some of these mike tyson knocked out

  • @Golani5288 like who larry holmes when his career was over?

  • Comment removed

  • I think mike Tyson should be number 1 cuz he's gotta face tattoo

  • where is Liston??????? i say Joe Louis *1, Ali *2

  • joe frazier, mike tyson, joe louis, muhammad ali, sonny liston!!

  • 34:22 click if you want to skip the bullshit and find out who the top 20 are.

  • 32:00 LaMotta :D. Pretty cool how they got him to comment on his rival. This list does fail though.

  • OH MY GOD I THOUGHT THEY PUT ALI AS NUMBER 6 I WAS GOING TO SHOOT MY SLF AND YHHHHH PEOPLE STFU ALI IS HE BEST IN AND OUT THE RING SNMMMMMM PEOPLE ALIII U R DAA GREATEST AND IM UR BIGGEST FAN

  • Comment removed

  • @scullysedge Why did you remove this asinine comment? "@boxinginfo Robinson would have been destroyed by even average heavy weights of the modern era. "

  • @boxinginfo Because it was meant to say middleweights, and include people like Ali who most decent heavy weights would have easily beaten. He did the most for the sport though. Why do you ask? Do you think your opinion counts more than others? Arrogant prick.

  • @scullysedge, yeah, I'm sure Matthew Macklin, Kelly Pavlik and Keith Holmes would have beaten Robinson....Jesus, are you actually serious?

  • @scullysedge So you're saying Robinson and Ali would have been destroyed by average Middleweights/Heavyweights respectively of the modern era? You are a class A FOOL who doesn't deserve the right to even take part in the conversations on these videos never mind me being arrogant, you post absolute nonsense. Watch one of my latest videos called Muhammad and Larry so you can see how much he did for the sport.

  • Robinson... Greb... Langford... in any order you like.

  • robinson is not number one because he has fight agains farmers in the ring, ali fights where against the best boxers ever

  • @catlakayak Wrong, Robinson had way more fights against WAY better competition. Farmers? Take your head out of wherever it is. Ali idolized Robinson and tried copying him. Sugar Ray Robinson was P4P the greatest of all time and the man the term "Pound for Pound" was created for.

  • @catlakayak joe frazier was better than ali..........ali is way over rated most kids these days never saw him box and consider him the best, he was good but way over rated

  • @Punishem1391 sugar ray robinson is number 1

  • @Punishem1391, I guess you missed Ali winning his series with Frazier 2-1 as well as knocking out the guy who crushed Frazier like a grape twice then, eh?

  • @iljn1988 nope I saw them.........i still think joe frazier was a better athlete

  • @iljn1988 watch the documentary Thrilla in manila its about joe frazier.........its what gave me second thoughts on ali's sportsmanship

  • @Punishem1391, I've seen that documentary, it's incredibly biased towards Frazier, who himself was no angel. Regardless of personalities though, to rank Frazier above Ali is nonsensical. Call him the 'better athlete' if you like, but he sure as hell wasn't a better boxer. You can come up with all the excuses and 'ifs' you like, but Ali won their series 2-1 and wasn't crushed in his prime like Frazier was. In fact, he beat Frazier's conquerer. Even outside of that, Ali's record has more depth.

  • @iljn1988 thats what i mean better athlete...........but still ali is over rated he was a great boxer but i not the best sugar ray robinson should have been number 1

  • @Punishem1391, I don't necessarily think that Ali is overrated, but there is something we agree on; Ray Robinson should be top dog. To me, his only rival for that honour is Armstrong. On any given day I could have them sharing top spot, but I could never put someone ahead of Robinson.

  • @iljn1988 agreed

  • No disrespect to Louis or Ali this has a big HW bias.

  • Why isn't Robinson number 1. He was the inspiration for the great HW battles in the 70's along with the great MW battles in the 80's. Leonard said himself that he didn't feel comfortable with the Sugar Ray label til Robinson said you are worthy. A lot of boxers who appreciated skill say he is number one.

  • @dirtbagwhitetrash Because a bunch of idiots made this list.

  • ali sporman of the century, never been knocked outt ,dont waste youre time, so stop writing non sense

  • @peteklibeer, Ray Robinson was never knocked out / stopped (in the proper sense of the word) either, in a career which contained nearly four times as many fights as Ali had. Ali himself happily admitted that, pound for pound, Robinson was the greatest of them all, and also called Sugar Ray "the king, the master, my idol." This list is poor, and Ali being number one is just another demonstration of that. Great, great fighter, the greatest Heavyweight in my eyes. But pound for pound? No way.

  • ali shouldnt be number 1 i would put ray robinson as number 1, i wouldnt even have ali in the top 3

  • its funny cuz with all the fighters they show there highlights and with mike tayson they show how he lost.thats just some bs right there. im not saying he should be number 1 ( ALTOUGH IT DEFINETLY SHOULDNT BE ALI ) but he did deserve more credit.

  • @xxxjayjay1988xxx, not sure why you say Tyson 'deserves more credit' in this list. Placing him at sixteen is a joke, and had he not emerged during the internet / hyper coverage era, more people would see that. As a Heavyweight, Tyson would be outside my top 10. And come on, pound for pound....He couldn't see the top 20 with a telescope. Better still, he couldn't see the top 60-odd with a telescope.

  • this list is only going by how flashy their careers are and not by the actual skills of the boxer, this retarded list makes real boxing fans sick, mike tyson is the greatest hw of all time skill wise, it doesn't make sense, the only reason he isn't number one is because most of boxing analyst grew up around the time ali was around so they think he's the greatest, if you ever watch the joe frazier fight you can clearly tell these guys aren't in the same league as mike tyson,

  • @Doughty1988 "this list is only going by how flashy their careers are and not by the actual skills of the boxer, this retarded list makes real boxing fans sick" REALLY? NO REAL BOXING FAN would put Tyson on this list let alone argue he's #1. Do you think Gene Tunney was flashy and had no skills? How about Sugar Ray Robinson or Marvin Hagler do you even know who they are? The same league as Tyson? Thats a joke you have us in stitches.

  • @Doughty1988 - Quit embarrassing yourself. Stfu and go play with your video games. Joe Frazier, not in the same league as the tin man? lol, you're right, Joe was a major leaguer while your hero was strictly a minor leaguer. If the canibal had fough in the 60's and 70's you would have never heard of him. The most overated heavy in history? Mike( tin man ) Tyson.

  • this list is retarded mike tyson should be number 1 the only reason ali is number 1 is because of civil rights movement which has nothing to do with boxing skills the list should go like this 1. mike tyson 2. ali, 3. joe louis, 4 sugar ray robinsion, 5. roy jones jr,... now people might say why do u have roy jones so high on the list, well skill wise he's one of the best ever.. and number 6 would be rocky marciano

  • @Doughty1988 - If ignorance is bliss then you are one deleriously happy Tyson rectum sniffer!!!

  • @Doughty1988 You're right about one thing the list is retarded because Sugar Ray Robinson isn't #1 which he really is and Tyson, Holyfield, and Foreman are on the list let alone ranked ahead of somebody like Julio Cesar Chavez which is ludicrous. There is WAY MORE to boxing than the heavyweight meatheads.
