  • Man...I could never do this. I don't think I could ever develope the speed and reaction needed to not get my dang head spun. Sure is fun to watch though.

  • you dont get it,R.Jones jr. is a turtle in compare to those guys.and be sure that its about control, focus and strategy to control.if it were the opposite, full contact..some of those guys can punch as deady as tyson..16 year old kids have enough explosive power to sweep your head clean off..

  • like this....(BKC indonesian karate)

  • wow 3:47

  • karate changed my life forever . turning me from a weak wimpy kid to a stronger karateka

  • KARATE <3 Nije sport a u karateu nemoze uspjeti svako karate je slozena discipina ;)

  • zlazem se. mnogo je dobar karate.

ja treniram karate,i divim se njemu.

    karate nije sport,vec borilacka vestina.

  • sigh .... karate turned from a killing martial art to a sport . but its okay , its still good

  • @555hansy I agree with you, it looks more and more like Tae Kwon Do (which btw is derived by shotokan). Kyokushin is the most entertaining now minus the fact that in most tournament setting head punches are forbidden. I'd like to see a bare-knuckle tournament between all karate styles one day. it will be bloody but at least it will bring karate back to its roots

  • @555hansy BJJ is going the same way...too bad...trying also to make it olympic...maybe they will, but even Rickson Gracie said it...too much rules...too SPORTY....Randori is good and sport is OK...but it´s turning an martial art into an Martial Sport, losing the pratical side of it.

  • great

  • What is the meaning of WKF?

  • @naquito3000 world karate federation

  • @mannybb1 ooo, I see. Thanks :)

  • @mannybb1 what?

  • fantasisk jeg elsker den

  • What kick was that which was used succssessfully at the beginning of the fight. Was it uchi mawashi geri (reverse round house kick)?

  • @simenyasikhulu we call it an ura-mawashigeri (hook kick)

  • ho0w do i download this vid

  • the best kick ever 5:20

  • @trospe10 what about 6:11 ? that one is definitely my favorite

  • @LETSxGOxGAMMING i agree its a very good kick

  • perfect...... and exelent :)

  • kumite this if true!

  • That's like saying people die playing tennis, or any other sport such as foot ball.

These people wouldn't be fighting without any gear, if the didn't know how to fight. Also note, that every thing used in these fights, are actual moves, not some stupid street fight.

  • ppl died doing kumite whitout protection in the 70 it was a fullcontactsport ot was too dangerous

  • @moerkerk2 mma uses no protection. Very few people die there. If they died. Its cause they already had an existing condition...

  • @tankshot009 actually, if i recall correctly, it was bare knuckles back in the day. it was only around the 80s I think they started making knuckle guards and eventually to full on gloves.

but no, i don't remember there being any deaths from karate tournaments lol

  • lol.... this seems compared to tkd not .. a bit "better" how everyone thinks...

but they dont have much safetyequpment

  • @rudeEMOboi ???

WOudl you prefer more safety equipment??

  • @Terryhasnopubes good question.. most times it doesent seem necessary.

sometimes a headgear woul have been better..

  • @rudeEMOboi Im not sure.

Doesnt that take away the real meaning behind kumite? I mean we are supposed to be able to absorb reasonable blows, thats all part of karate. Its not dangerous.

After all, there are VERY VERY few serious injuries from karate. No one has EVER died on the mat.

For me, the protective gear is just a way to please the Olympic commitee, to get karate on the olympics. For me, the less protective gear the better.

  • @Terryhasnopubes yeah i understand this very well.

but if a kick is delievered to the head and reach it's full potential, it could become a very serious injury

  • @rudeEMOboi I take your point, But I still think its irrelevant. NO ONE kicks with with potential with kicks to head. everyone pulls them short and when mistakes are made, the very worst injury might be a slight concussion.

If people are out there throwing kicks with no control and full potential, then they should be charged with assault.

  • @Terryhasnopubes ok. i dont agree here.

if something with a kick goes wrong. and might it just be the way the other guy evades it some nose ends broken.

but how can a headgear proctect this?

  • @rudeEMOboi I think a broken nose is all part of a contact karate sport.

I have had my nose broken twice during kumite. It was hardly life threatening.

Every contact sport has its risks. Rugby for example, all rugby players take massive blows and knocks and pick up injuries. Thats all part of the risk and entertainment.

If you eliminate any risk in kumite, you eliminate the idea of the sport. Thats what I think anyway.

But I do understand what you are saying, I just think we dont agree here!

  • @Terryhasnopubes I hope karate never makes it past the olympic committee just look at Tae Kwon do... forever stained by olympics... its easy to say sports tae kwon do is now useless other than acrobatics and bouncing around

  • fuck you

  • @rudeEMOboi yer they do. full shin pads gloves mouth gaurd and groin guard and 4 girls chest guards. and in cadets and younger u have to ware chest guard and nose thing lol

  • KARATE WKF

  • Freaking EKF guys with there crazy kicking skillz. WTF? Benetello is a bad ass though.

  • why were they throwing punches from the chest? That's not karate. This looked like more of a taekwondo match.
