all ktm machines have the loudest stock exhaust ever made.not that it has more DB"S its just pushin out so much back pressure.the ktm's are made to be perfectly built from the factory.the exhaust is said to be better then any other aftermarket thing u can get.dont know if its the truth but i rode the 450 and the only thin that came close to it was the polaris 450,and they have the same motor's. the ride,suspension,and all around feel was way better then anything i have ever ridden.

well even though the ltr450 is a motocross quad at heart its still good for all that stuff to. just put a taller tire on it. im pretty sure the ltr450 is faster than the DS650 any way. at least in acceleration im sure it is. The DS550 isnt really all that great of a quad to be honest.

I was just at sandlake last week and i was beating all the stock 450s i raced a few banshees, the quad is AMAZING in the tree shots. I raced a guy who had the icecube head on his yamaha 450 and i was with him the whole way.

The 450 is not faster than the 525, they are the exact same motor and frame minus a little smaller bore. The only way the 450 would be faster off the line is if the 525 just spins with too much power.

And to any other ktm owners out their, Look at page 59 in your owners manual, pull the brown plug under the front and gain some more horsepower by putting the quad into a high performance map setting.
