actually lightning does pass through metal. the guy isnt getting shocked because the metal cage around him has much less electrical resistance than he does, and electricity always follows the path of least resistance
I've seen a similar demonstration before; the bars on that cage are GROUNDED so most of the charge goes directly to the ground instead of through the person touching the bars. Now if you reached out from between the bars, you will probably get shocked. I heard this has happened to a person running this demonstration and it will make them scream and cuss.
um electricity does to travil through metal lol how u think wires work lol and besides me and my freinds held hands and i pushed a shock pen aginst a railing in school and they touched it while touching me and got shocked lightning = electricity so i dont see how it doesnt move through metal, they prolly used a metal that isnt a good conducter of electricity lol

i was there when they were testing it. it was really cool. sounded like a gun fight. never saw the demenstration though :(

@jasonvoorhese It's called a Faraday cage, and it works with all types of metal.
