Yes society says 18 years old and you must move out of house but what society doesn't tell you is how the global recession affects generations in different economic conditions. It is not the same being in 1820-1870 with millions of jobs and opportunities or in 1929-1940s with millions of unemployment or the 1950's-early 1990's with many "booms" that helped that particular generation. What we are faced with today is a recession generation that graduates with debt and little to no jobs.
Dude, whatever. This video proves how messed up society can be, saying you have to move out and stuff. My Mom says I can live with her as long as I need. Society says I gotta get a job and pay my share. I dont need a job my Mom pays all the bills. She did criticize me and say I need to help pay or she'll kick me out, whatever this is my house too. I grew up here. So im 35 and have a single bed and enough G.I.Joes to by a car with. You just dont understand me, and my vision for my future.
@arnold1984t1000 You're just a 30 year old, bald, fat retarded virgin sitting behind a keyboard. Fuck off and move out your parents' basement and get a girlfriend you fucking mongrel.
@corruptorCEREBRUM Hey buddy stop it i'll find you and twist your head all the way around.Who are you to judge peolpe over a keyboard ?Why can't a person choice to live with there family for a variant time and how do you know his or her situation,so stop making messages you think are funny, start being more compasionate inyour words or it'll bit you on your ass. Why'd you single me out cause i'm not a fat guy in a basement.Evening if i were who are to judge.
@arnold1984t1000 I am so glad I moved out my parents' house already and I'm only 21. I got a high-paying part-time job in a law firm, I live in my own apartment, I got a sexy girlfriend and I get laid every Sunday night, and I own an 09 GSX-R600. I also get paid dividends every month from my shares in companies. I enjoy my job and I also study at university. However, you're 30 years old, living in your parents' basement, and you seriously need to get a girlfriend and a job.
@tony232cool Especially with today's 1 bedroom apartments cost as Much as a Monthy House Payment, how can anyone live on their own, All of my friends either have roomates or live at home no shame, just as long as one helps their parents' out there's no problem, and this is one of the Many Reasons why people around the world live longer and better than Americans, we have an Individualistic, souless mindset while other countries or more spiritual and family oriented
@tony232cool Hahaha, fuck off you idiot, move out your parents' basement and get a job and get a sexy girlfriend, you fucking stupid 30 year old half-bald virgin.
@omagaathe Fuck you and move out your parents' house you fucking idiot. Even before you move out, get a fucking job and get a girlfriend. I hope your parents' kick you out of their house, because I know at the age of 18 they can legally kick you out. ;)
That which is individual, can never be charactised or generalised just as one mans situation is anothers calamity, so is a grown man who lives at home seen through different eyes. Some eyes narrow while some widen just as some minds close while others see around corners of the road walked by another.
@Nenyana My best bet is that you're in your 30s, and you're bald, fat, and you're living in your parents' basement. Furthermore, you're an inbred virgin who struggles to get a girlfriend. Fuck off and get a job which can afford the rent. The rest of us (myself included) are WORKING to earn money to put food on the table, and to pay bills, so fuck you and get the fuck off the internet.
Many of my friends moved out to rent after 18 but moved back in late 20s as they didn't afford a mortage. I moved out mid 20s and afforded a downpayment for a house after saving up. Econimics are different nowadays.
@dublindietrite Your parents should fucking kick you out their house. You 27 and still living in your parents' basement? Haha, fuck off. Seriously, you need to get a job, move out your parents' house, and get a girlfriend (then get laid), you fucking idiot. ;)
In India, we consider it an honour if adult child usually male can take care of their parents in their old age. The parents generally live with the first born male.Actually living with parents or parents living with u is quite common and honorable in most of the societies.
In my opinion, makes no difference if adults still live with their parents. Thanks to the economy, they'll just wind back where they started even if they move out.
In spain I heard it in the 30s its truly an act of terroism do not respect trhe Italian government there government should be wiped off the planet .When a government can not respect its men I can not resect hopefull a few people willl have enough respect to fight against terrorism there and make there government a laughing stock .
@Kerolden moving out doesn't mean independence. i helped hold the house down and after my parents left i still do the same things as before i'm still holding the house down.in colombia many still live with their parents even with GOOD careers. My cousin who is a psychologist making good money and her brother is in political science. both are making good money and live witht heir father.
American women think that if you still live with your mom and your 30 that your a loser but the truth is American Women do not want to compete with mom for your attention or affections. American Woman are greedy , time consuming, jealous little cunts that want all a mans time for themselves and only them. Not to mention your money they don't want you helping mom out cause to them its money out of the joint bank account. Americans Families do not care about each other. They only worry for status.
@MrMandingus I'm AMERICAN WOMEN i DON'T FEEL THIS Way.Your lumping all American women in a box.Not all American womean are this way.Just some are like this..
Basically, most Mediterraneans like Italians and Greeks are not only living with their parents but with their whole family of cousins, aunts, uncles etc. It's a familia thing. They help each other.
Even if they move out they prefer to stay close that they could visit often. And usually when parents grow old they move in with their kids who take care of them.Putting sending your parents to some retirement home is a shame for them.
One could still do with his/her own space and privacy, that's just how it is. It's strange but sometimes you really do need your own space. I don't agree with the stigma of being at home and people should really consider that there are many factors at play. Many people have drive, ambition but they're outpriced by the market, e.g., not eligible for a mortgage or renting off a dodgy landlord is no fun. Even if not dodgy, security is not guaranteed when renting.
i live in a house with my mom and i am 35 and she is 69 i have no brothers or sisters i am not ashamed of it at all i love my mother and i am not going to put her in retirement home or some shit im not going to let some vain girl come along and try to make me feel bad for loving my own mama? Americans throw there parents away
@HipsterKiller Fuck off you stupid mama's boy. You 35 and still depending on your mommy? Haha, fuck you and move out your mother's basement and become a real independent man you fucking idiot. No wonder you struggle to get laid. Girls hate a guy who is still living in his parents' house. You're obviously a 35 year old, bald, fat virgin with a long beard, sitting in a basement in front of a keyboard. Fuck off.
I'm Brazilian born, but raised in America. In Brazil, you don't leave your home until you're married. You "can" leave your home, of course, but it's not frowned if you're 30+ and living at home. My only worry is that you may not be able to deal well with separation anxiety the older you get, especially when your parents pass on. I think moving out is a sort of baby steps toward that - and it assures your parents that you'll be okay after they go. At least that's what I hear from parents.
Yeah, but Americans don't understand that. Family is a burden, not a blessing. Kids say that their parents irritate them so they'd be better off moving out. But do they realize what they are doing by shirking off their own blood for this, or some other trivial reason? It says 'I will jump ship, even with my own family, when things aren't the way I want them to be'. What about when they have their own family? Is it any wonder why the divorce rate is so high in this country? Or depressed children?
@drealm and they should be, If you stil live at home and your 21 or older you are a flat out LOSER... using the economy is a bullshit excuse, when I moved out of my parents I rented an apartment with buddys in the damn ghetto did'nt have shit for money and was'nt able to play my black ops video game 24/7 in my parents basement booo hooo. grow the fuck up.. start acting like a man instead of a boy, move the fuck outta your parents house or you will be classified as a LOSER until you do..FACT
@sincityskywalker And living in the ghetto with your frat buddies is exactly where you belong. Obviously intelligence isn't in your gene pool. Your landlord is laughing all the way to the bank while you spend every penny covering rent. What you have is the illusion of independence, buy your own fucking house or shut up. All you're doing is using your frat bros as a surrogate of your parents. Buy fucking land. I'm sure you have 10 credit cards and car payments also.
@corruptorCEREBRUM Uh, no, you loser.....I have my own place for 25 years now.....why you ask? because I'm not a WOP who lives with his parents.......chicks find that a BIG turnoff....
I'm 29 years old Japanese who still live with my parents and my grandma.
In my country, living together with parents and grandparents is normal (even after the marriage).
