  • I hope that you think that the poem and the video go together well. I have written many steam train poems because I grew up in the steam age and my father was a railway signalman. I spent many happy hours watching the steam trains pass under the bridge near his signal box.

  • I have linked from your film to my poem for children "On the Worth Valley Line" which people may like to read: Google: JOSIE'S POEMS - Yorkshire poems. The children will love to see your film of the steam train and the sound of the chugging of the train matches the rhythm of the words in the poem.

  • @josiewhitehead

I am glad you think enough of my video to link it to your excellent Poem " On the worth valley line". I am delighted to think the children would enjoy it .

  • Well what can i say.85yrs ago I was a volunteer on the KWVR and then 47279 was just brought from Barry, 80002 was a boiler in the the yard, and several other engines were just static.RSH 63 "corby" was the one I was involved with, but she's gone somewhere else now.

  • Was that the tunnel used in the Railway children?

  • Your quite right,This is the tunnel made famous by the film The Railway Children.

  • Superb! Very professionally shot aswell! I like the fact that you included both steam and diesel traction.
