when i saw the tin man i was like ''what the? thats the tin man ? he looks like a robotic Lincoln!'' then when i heard his voice i was like ''really ? that voice is supposed to match that body?'' there ruining my favorite wizard of oz character ! :(
One thing missing here is that just before Dorothy meets the Scarecrow, she spends the night with a muchkin named Boq, who was having a party in celebration of the witch's death.
@Garrettk41 Boq was a munchkin who allowed Dorothy to stay at his home her first night in Oz.The Tin Man's name was Nick Chopper and his origin story is very different.
The creators of the musical version of Wicked clearly never picked up a single Oz novel.They changed way to much lol
The Scarecrow and the Tin Man are both done fine; I was surprised to find out that John Stocker was the VA behind the latter character. I recognized him best as Zephir from BABAR THE MOVIE and Beastley from CARE BEARS. He sounds less nasally than either of those two characters here and sounds like his regular speaking voice. That works appropriately well for a character like the Tin Man. (His first line was a bit iffy, though.)
Will you plz make sure this video still upload, I REALLY LOVE THIS MOVIE SO MUCH when I was a kid. I use to have this on vhs until I was a preteen; it was missing for years until I finally found it on youtube, for some reason that this video disappear twice. I HATE THAT WHEN THAT HAPPENS. So will you make it doesn't happen again?

@jenluvjake
And it's just as bad when the Tin Man says "could you oil me all over please miss?".
Why does Dorothy have to end up hanging around with such creepy older males? D:

@EuroMIX2 haha hopefully the lion isn't such a creeper :)

@EuroMIX2 This is a movie for children! The males are not meant to seem scary!

@Garrettk41 I thought Bog was the Tin Man.
performingfreak11 9 months ago
@performingfreak11 That's Boq, not Bog. And I don't recall the Tin Man having a name.

The scarecrow is Billy Van, who I understand did voices in a few Sesame Street cartoons as well.

Continued from Part 1...
A lot of faithfulness to the book here. Much better in that respect compared to the Judy Garland version.
I like how it shows that several days have passed as well, because the book actually takes place over nearly a month's time...
Kinda distracting hearing words spoken by characters on screen, but no mouth or facial movement, but of course most ANIME is that way.
