My friends had pit tickets and snuck us in. What I thought was going to be god awful ended up being one of the best nights of my life. I was supposed to be on the lawn, instead I was 5 rows back.
Yeah, I heard it was pouring during the entire show. I actually drove to NJ to see them too and it was so awesome. I actually saw some person with a shirt that read "I SURVIVED NISSAN" :)
The best show I've ever seen in some of the shittiest weather I've ever seen. I'm so happy I was under the roof (right in front of the soundboard so the sound was ace). Nissan Pavilion is a nightmare but Radiohead made it worth it. So so soooooooo good.
witnessing the greatest band alive under the most miserable conditions is one for the books. extremely disappointed in the venue, but nothing could drag me away early. stayed the entire time in the front of the lawn. kudos to anyone else who toughed it out. it was so worth it.
The Nissan Pavilion Center is the worst venue that Radiohead should never play in again!
Radiohead, Nine Inch Nails, Arcade Fire, The Smashing Pumpkins, Pink Floyd, and Jesus himself could collaborate for a show in that hellhole of a venue, and still wouldn't go after what I've went through.
MAJOR respect to the poor souls who stayed. You deserve Karma Police and this song as well.
Were you on the lawn too? Very possibly the coldest, wettest, and most uncomfortable I've ever been in my life, but this song made it all worth it. The whole concert was more than worth it actually; I'm still in awe.
Amazing show - thanks for the fantastic video - Monsoon rain, untrained staff, $10 beer, traffic insanity - absolutely worth-it - we knew it was insane - but had no idea how screwed-up it was until this morning and learned about all the cars that showed up at 7:30 and couldn't get in. I also was at the Bull Rub Concert which was canceled due to rain.
Thanks for posting this. I left before the encores because I was too cold and wet and wanted to get a headstart on the traffic leaving. There were still people coming in when I left because they were stuck in traffic coming in.
I stood out there in the rain for 6 hours and then when the concert ended I had to walk for two fucking miles in the pouring rain to go find our ride. Not fucking cool. The concert was pretty cool and I love Radiohead but I just don't know how worth it it really was. I felt like I was in Vietnam or something, wtf?!? God was determined to make my time at Radiohead miserable!!
No doubt, the worst concert I have ever been in. I can't explain how dissapointed I am because the weather totally ruined the event. The conditions were terrible, and just like me, I am sure most that of the people who went to the concert (especially in Lawn) are sick by now. Many left earlier, and in many sector of that crap place there was a general unsattisfaction and dissapointement. What a shame...

woooo lawn people! Though I was freezing wet, it was totally worth it. Btw, what the hell was with the liars? MGMT should have deff. opened for them!
fratboy3121 3 years ago
MGMT doesn't seem like a good opener for Radiohead. Liars are better. I'm kicking myself for not seing Radiohead when Sigur Ros opened for them...

Best show ever...even if it was cold and wet.
