  • I agree with royalcoils... homeboy got some serious issues....lol

  • so called 'natural' hair is really nappy, brillo-pad corse hair. thus is why God made perms/relaxers. thats why when sistahs bitch at me for datin white girls, i simply point out who has the better hair. when i make love to a girl i like runnin my fingers thru her hair & i sure as hell cant do that wit a girl with so-called 'natural' hair !

  • @dxsmackdown8 you thnk God made perm? does your mother have nappy, brillo-pad coarse hair, what abt your grandmother? sound like you got some self esteem issues bruh, stop hating cause we can embrace our natural God given beauty, read the willie lunch letter dude and learn to love yourself

  • Hi Nina, I couldn't find the site "Girls Just Want to Have Fun". Your hair looks great.

  • WOW your hair texture is nice! You are so pretty and have the perfect head shape. Thank you for sharing.

  • what color is your hair here? it really looks well with your complexion, doesn't wash you out at all.. our complexions are very close so i'm very interested in what you use. cute. nice vid.

  • my hair is this length now and our textures are very similar..i'm going to have to try that pantene curl definer! thanks for sharing! :o)

  • Nice hair

  • Chi-Town. Thank for the vid

  • look in the mirror and smile mami ur very beautiful

  • the thing i lov bout bein natural is that i can straight from doing my hair to cooking or whatever else, because i wash my hair evry two days at least so its always clean, and i threw out all my fake mineral oil products. its about being free, clean, if u know ur pillow dont stink say yay yay!

  • OMG I have a twin!!! My hair is nature but I like my weave too. Look me up on FB /ericka Carroll Pleazzzzz You have a twin/w Tatoo and all.LOL

  • Girl, all these hair products...just go with water and glycerin, jojo oil, rosemary oil, scalp with extra virgin olive oil and you're good to go..for moisture that is. Oh, you can keep your conditioners. LOL

  • I know LOL that's when I was a newbie :). I don't use really anything now. Maybe I should update and tell the ladies you don't need all this stuff to get your hair soft.

    Peace,

    Nina

  • Looks good! Nice arms, sexy muscles!!! :)

  • Thanks!

    Peace,

    Nina

  • wow you hair colour looks great can you do a tutorial on it thanks

  • I sure will. I changed my hair color since then; it's now a kinda red auburn.

    Peace,

    Nina

  • Thanks alot Nina

  • ms. nina...im a guy who decided to grow a fro but i want to eventually get twist done do u know how i should maintain my fro??? should i do what you are doin??

  • Don't pile all the stuff on your hair like it did in the beginning. Like Kimberlene stated the Jojoba, glycerine, avocado oil works more effective than the other stuff. You need a spray bottle add 1/2 water than throw all your oils in there too. Dont' forget to shake it up :)

    Peace,

    Nina

  • I use Edens Body Works. Their products are all natural except for the shampoo. Tt's only 70. But the products are excellent. The hair milk does wonders for my hair. Also I use olive oil to moisturize my scalp:)

  • i chemically straightened my hair about 9 months ago and ever since it's been falling out really easily. it grew stronger after i cut it and its SLOWLY growing back but is still pretty weak.

what do u suggest? Great video btw xx

  • You're so cute. Nice curls. What's your hair type?

  • Thanks! I have no idea my what's my hair type. Maybe you can help me, how do you find out?? I always wanted dimples.

    Peace,

    Nina

  • yeah i love burt bees products

but yeah i love your natural hair msninacousins ;)

  • thank you for posting this. I agree our hair needs protein,if you want to stop instant breakage condition with real mayonaise and egg. works like a charm. the shampoos that dry out our hair have sulphate in them. try castile soap(small amount)olive oil,and lavender oil for fragrance.see how that works. Anywho, whatever works for you-work it sis

  • smart ass the only reason why your hair dry when you shampoo it is because you need more proteins

  • Hair is protein. More specifically, protein is made up of long chains of amino acids. Your body needs every kind of amino acid to preform normally. The amino acids our bodys cannot produce, we get from food. Since my health is in excellent condition. I don't need a protein based shampoo or conditioner to promote a healthy head of hair; I already have it!! Take note " In all your getting, get understanding."

    Peace,

    Nina

  • natrual my ass if sombody no matter what race if they dont comb there hair it's going to look a hot mess. That's not hygien if you wash your hair!

  • Correction:Did you mean,"It's not hygienics if you're not washing your hair?"with what?shampoo, conditioner, detergent? Not being a smart ass, just thought you meant to word it this way.Hygiene means a condition or practice conducive to the preservation of health,as cleanliness. Me preferring not to use shampoo has nothing to do with my health or overall cleanliness.Guess what? My hair is past my shoulders; healthy and shiny. Maybe you should try it and I haven't used shampoo in almost a year.

  • Thank you so much for sharing this video because I would like to do the Big Chop and you have motivated me to do it! I just did not know what products to use by going natural. Thanks Again.

  • Beautiful, just beautiful. Keep up the good work!

  • Thank you.

  • You may need to get a natural shampoo or one without (sls) which is what drys out natural hair.

  • I just condition wash now. But, I would like to try the natural shampoo too.

  • You remind me of Keyshia coles for some reason. Dont ask why beacuse I'm unsure myself.

  • Well Ok :)

  • Hey girl! Great video...I'm a serious product junkie so I love product videos. I do the same thing w/ conditioners. I even use them as leave ins. You hair looks great, I especially love the color :-D

  • Thanks!!! I know the products make you want more, more and more

  • Loved your video! I use the Profectiv growth lotion as well but I only use it at night because I find that it's heavy on my hair.

  • k im 16 and ever since i was a kid my mom used to perm my hair and relax it and stuff and i decided i wanted to go natural, so its been a few months and its growin in pretty well, im happy with it, but i noticed it grows more in the front then on the sides and like in the back and i dont know why... what do you think?

thanks and btw ur hair looks reallly nice, i love the curls :D

  • Guess what hon? you are not alone. I have noticed my hair grows quicker in the front also. When I was younger it grew quicker in the back. I have noticed I've been sleeping on my back lately so that can be the cause. But believe me your back will eventually catch up with your front. Just wait and see. Also I tie my hair up everynight with a very soft head scarf.

    Thanks for the comment.

    Peace,

    Nina

  • MsNina, I used the Pantene shampoo and conditoner on my locks. LOVED IT! Wow! What a difference it made. And I actually found the Vitaka in the Indian section of the intn'l mkt. They also had some hair oil that is coconut based and has a lot of the Vitaka ingrediants but in a tube inside the bottle. My locked curls are looking Fab-u-lous! Thank you sister. I'll try to send a vid.

  • ingredients! Geeze!

  • LOL! I'm no longer a product junky. The only thing I use now is my veggie glycerine spray. Aint' you proud of me:) Also, I am still trying to give up the chicken I'm almost there.

    Peace

  • You go girl!! Why haven't you put any more vids up? You know you always have me cracking up. Maybe you have put the vids up, but due to my hectic schedule I have not had time to watch them. I need to start back meditating and doing my yoga again. I feel so rushed all the time.

    Peace,

    Nina

  • Meditations is the ticket! I no longer feel rushed. Have you read the Oprah book of the month?; A New Earth, by Eckert Tolle.

And thanks for the update on the products.

  • girl, you are SO pretty!!!!

i cut off my hair around october last year, callin myself going all natural, but caved to a relaxer a few months later....you are inspiring me to start over...AGAIN! ;o)

  • Thank you! You got my support. I will update later. I have been so busy. Thanks.

    Peace,

    Nina

  • I LOOOOOVVVE the Pantene hydrading curl line. I use the shampoo and conditioner and after the 3x I washed my curls was very defined. I haven't used the the other pantene products you have yet but I am going to try it soon!!

  • Yeah I just started using it when I post. I really lilke it too.

  • Good video, i just went natural two days ago and so far I am loving it, I feel like a new women, I am loving your videos, keep em coming.

  • Oh wow!!! Yes, I feel so good now being natural. You are going to love it!!!!!!

  • be careful of product buildup. you may discover, after time, that your hair is stiff, tacky, or is not as receptive to curl definition because you leave in heavy conditioners that are designed to be rinsed out, and you layer even more products on top of them.

john masters makes a rinse-out conditioner that doubles as a leave-in (citrus and neroli). it detangles and has a fresh, light, citrusy aroma. whole foods sells it. it's costly, but a little goes a long way, especially on shorter hair.

  • Thanks for the advice. I may have to try the rinse-out conditioner. I love conditioners as you can tell:)

    Peace

  • LOL! Gurl u r too funny "cramp in my eye"! Has anyone ever told you, u favor Lisa Raye? I think so. Anyways thanks for the advice have a good one.

  • Thank you so much. I checked your page out your hair looks GREAT!!!!

  • love ur hair it looks like my texture so i like to see what types of products u use and we use the similar things well keep it up and im looking forward to the show

  • I like Aphogee leave in conditioner, believe it or not I also like the Scurl styling gel, I mix these together (vegetable glycerine, water, alvocado oil, and eucalyptus)in a spray bottle (hope I spelled that right!) Aphogee oil sheen. I will put a vid together on more products I use. Not all at the same time, depending on the frame of mind I'm in that day determines what I will put in my hair. I love the Burt's Bees it smells so good.

  • "cramp in my eye" LOL

  • I am so serious!! hehe I will never want to be a model. Probably for myself :)

  • Girl this is very nice. you look pretty!

  • Thank you,

    Peace:)

  • You are so beautiful! Lol I truly look up to women like you who are comfortable in their own skin, whether natural or relaxed. I cut my own hair in April of 07 but i've been going back and forth with perms and weaves. My last perm was in October (07) and its still growing out. • Thanks. I will send you ladies a picture of my twist. I used Garnier curl shaping gel for the twist. "DON'T USE IT!" it makes your hair hard as heck. But my twist were gorgeous. Just another trial and error.

  • Congrats on your big chop mama!! Looks great on you. :)

  • Thanks so much. I am loving it!!!!!
