  • few guys from point st charles in montreal went down there too...rip...

  • Ron, I've only come across your music recently. You're one of our great singer songwriters -- up there with Dylan and Springsteen. Heartbreaking and beautiful. Thank you.

  • Excellent tribute to the crew and families of the oil rig Ocean Ranger. Thanks for sharing. :-)

  • One of my favs for sure

  • Thank you Ron for a lovely song. It is great the families have something in remembrance of their lost loved ones. Always remembering my Uncle Paul Bursey.

  • Does anyone have the tab for this? I love it, love the version The Cottars do and want to learn it!

  • My brother lost an Uncle off the coast of Newfoundland when their fishing boat sank. This week, the loss of the 18 men aboard the helicopter on their way to a drilling rig, has hit him and all of Newfoundland with sadness.

The loss of lives on the helicopter is the largest numbers lost to the sea since The Ocean Ranger went down in 1982.

  • I sang this song in a concert!!!

  • ME TOO.

  • Hi Young, I am glad you put my friend Ron Hynes on your channel. He's a great songwriter/Entertainer. Bless You.

  • OK ... here's a new one ... on the words "That sleepless eyes of mine survey" ... he goes into a minor chord.

Does anyone know what he is doing there?

  • actually figure it out ... It's D .. duh!

  • That's why his songbook or a workshop with him are handy. ;P

  • Someone's head is in front of the neck of his guitar. Anyone know what chord Ron is playing in?
