These remakes are actually a good thing... We have to revitalize these franchises so these younger movie lovers can see these stories and actually be affected by them. I love the romero, carpenter, and craven classics as much as any horror savant but they don't pack the same punch as they did when the visual effects and photography were innovative and fresh. That being said, I think it'll be hilarious when one of these first time directors attempts a Hitchcock remake lol. that's my piece.
