how long does it take for the male to make the bubble nest? my female is prego and the male has started to make a bubble nest but i had to take them out to clean the tank and take out the rocks. their back in the tank now. does the female have to be in with the male while he makes the nest because the female keeps attacking the male so i separated them with a clear glass wall. i got a heater and pellets but what else do i need to do? please send a message of the process thanks!

Hey i hear ur bettas spaned. now the first thing to do was wait for the male to make a bubble nest and then put the female with the male but when the eggs hatch make sure u take the male out because then the male will start fighting with all the other male babys and they'll be dead and u wont want that.

no that is not true but after u breed them and they are done u have to take the female out. then after that the male will take care of the babies untill they start swimming on their own. once they are swimming on their own u take the male out and feed the babies with microworms and or brine shrimp. then once they get to be 6 weeks u should start feeding them either grindal worms or crushed up adult food. Ok now the idea of intercourse varies upon each persons understanding. Do you think that in order for organisms to have intercourse something must be inserted into something? Well although nothing is being "inserted" into one of the fish by the other this is basically betta fish reproduction. And then saying that the wraps of the male fish are just orgasms? No stupid, he squezes the female causing her to drop her eggs, and that is intercourse for betta fish.....idiot.

Why do you lower the camera each time the fish have intercourse? I mean seriously one might find intercourse a very graphic thing, but if you think about it in a scientific terms, it's just two species of animals mating for the sake of reproduction. Anyways, how wouldsomeone find mating fish offensive? It's not the same with as with humans. Theidea if intercourse is the same, just not the way they doit. Anyways it's a very natural and sceientific process, gosh.
