  • REALITY !!!

  • "I have thoughts and that can really fucking up the faith thing." LOL Best comic in the world!!!

  • He is the funniest comedian I've ever seen, and he makes some very good points!

  • @singersglen1 Try George Carlin next.

  • how come i cat like comments on this video o.O

  • I live in GA. Yes there are some people like the gentlemen MR. Black describes who were raised in a church (also incidentally a barn). In fact, I worked at a chick-fil-a while in high school and got into an argument with a female coworker who told me that dinosaur fossils were put into the ground by god to test our faith (that sneaky bastard). I told her, "that is an utter load of horse shit." needless to say, I had to find a new job shortly after that. But in my opinion.....worth it.

  • LOL! Lewis Black's comedy is my daily medicine, love it!!

  • @Aldosfuturewife1 right on !!!!

  • Faith and Thoughts don't intertwine very well. Honestly I believe in God, but religion's just too fuckin stupid. It's like you're raised to believe something, and never question it. That's ignorance. It's like someone telling you the color of your pants are green and you going "My pants are green" without examining the fact that you're wearing blue fuck jeans.

  • The rationalists like Hitchens (et. all), are doing a great job demolishing the myth known as religion, but Lewis and other great comedians are helping tremendously. And we are all having a great time while they do.

  • @worktosser jimmy carr, ricky gervais, matt stone and trey parker, seth macfarlene, lewis black etc all atheists

  • @finka123456 Lewis Black is Jewish moron he says it 100 time in all of his stand ups

  • @linemanbiermann hes an atheist moron hes jewish ETHNIC there is a diffrence dipshit

  • @finka123456 i'm not a dipshit, I'm 22 and probably make more than you, so go fuck yourself

  • @linemanbiermann hmmm 22...im 17 and since you called me stupid for saying something right...you are more likely then not the dipshit here...also i still live with my parents so i probably don't make as much as you seeing as i rely on allowance and btw making money means nothing so i dont know why the fuck you brought it up

  • @finka123456 Jewish ethnic? WTF is that? After your 17-year-old brain finally develops to make it to that of a toddler, come back and talk with the big folks. You said nothing right. When I was 13 I was still living with my parents and doing odd jobs to make money. You get an allowance at 17?! You're one of the luckiest people I know. I was working masonry and landscaping at that age for my 'allowance'.

  • @MadLip78 The jewish people come from the Israelites or Hebrews of the Ancient Near East. They are a nation, an ethnic group based on ancestry. Judaism is the traditional faith of the jewish people. Biological ancestry, religion and culture are often strongly linked in the jewish identity, but they are not the same thing. Lewis Black is jewish (ethnically and probably culturally), but does not subscribe to the faith of Judaism. He is an atheist. Hope that clears it up a bit.

  • @ChStapeler Actually Lewis Black isn't an atheist.

  • @linemanbiermann I know I'm a month late, but I seem to recall an interview with Lewis Black stating how he was an atheist, but feels like he is traditionally Jewish. Not sure though, I may be wrong.

  • @finka123456 Don't forget George Carlin in that list.

    linemanbiermann is a fuckwit.

  • @buttface112211 oh yeah..hes the king but i have not watched his stuff in a while

  • it's true, "faith" is for people who have no thoughts, independent thoughts. their faithful brains do not produce independent thoughts, because outside of the boundaries of their faith there exists reality, and reality is what they fear to see, reality is what causes them to think, but thinking is a "sin" within the boundaries of their faith, for thinking independently eliminates all faiths or religions, and that's why they hate and fear thinking.

  • @arzadi11 Why do you root for sports teams then? because you faith that they will win

  • @Kdubslugga what do u mean?

  • "Fossils are the handiwork of the Devil..."

    LMAO

    Just....woooowww. Fail. lol

  • fossils.....like lewis.... hed like a plate job with a side of diverticuli

  • I love it when he yells, "REALITY!!"

  • The Devil IS like Wile. E. Coyote. ;])

  • thanks mr. black

  • LMAO The Devil must have been here and disliked the exposing of his plan.

  • Dinosaurs and man did roam the Earth at the same time - but because of EVOLUTION, the dinosaurs aren't called dinosaurs anymore - they're called birds. If you don't believe me, look at an Ostrich. If Ostriches aren't dinosaurs after 65 million years, then why are they basically feathered velociraptors from the Jurassic Park movies?

  • @BrandonSchleifer I hope this is a joke. There is a layer of rock, of which all the dinosaur fossils are under, not a single one after it. Under this layer, with the dinosaur fossils, there are no human or humanoid fossils (so far) and there is no reason to believe one will ever be discovered from that tame period. Now, reptiles, like turtles, alligators & crocodiles, may have survived and continued to evolve, as did some ocean dwelling creatures, like sharks & whales. Not everything died out...

  • @BrandonSchleifer I'm not saying there is no God, what I'm saying is that evolution happened & its time everyone accept that it did. Kind of like when we accepted the earth goes around the sun instead of the other way around. I'm also saying that the theistic God from texts & myth stories is nothing more than an imaginary character, created by those with power to keep those without it from realizing there should be no hierarchy in the social world. Power & control was & is the name of the game.

  • @allfitch84 What I'm saying is that Dinosaurs roam the Earth today in the same way that Homo Habilis roams the Earth today. No one is claiming that there's a tribe of Homo Habilis still alive, but Homo Habilis evolved into (eventually) us. No species classified as a dinosaur has roamed the Earth in the past 65 million years, but technically, birds are just modern dinosaurs. Perhaps a better way to say it is: Dinosaurs are ancient, extinct bird species, but birds still roam the Earth today.

  • @allfitch84 Religion doesn't need to control people anymore. Governments do that perfectly well.

  • @MattCadillac -government is ruled by rome. all of them. mystery babylon religion. 1991bc-1991ad

  • 0 people believe the devil makes fossils

  • @superunt43 people who are that superstitious, are also likely to kill people whom they think are witches.

  • This is so funny because growing up in a Penacostal Minister's home and sent to their Christian school. When I began to go to the library and read books about dinosaurs and such, my father told me that dinosaur bones were planted by the devil to confuse humans and make them lose Faith in God. I was also banned from the Library by my folks and next time I went into the school library, I found there were no more encyclopedias...lol

  • @ZiggNKrissy If it weren't so damn scary that someone believed this sort of thing, it would be hilarious.

  • @pderop Explain

  • Lewis Black is my father.

  • i can make witty remarks therefore i am smart

  • I really like Lewis Black. He's one of the best we still have.

  • @5jerry1 - He may be the last of the best.

  • Fossils are the handiwork of the devil.

  • @SMcDan LMAO unless you're being serious....

  • Ahhhh priceless he spouts pure gold!!!

  • LOL!!! Oh, that face he makes at 3:41 is just priceless. I'm crying laughing here....

  • Half of these are dead..but I would give respect to. Bill Hicks.. Bob Newhart..George Carlin..I don't give respect to wife beaters..

  • @lozman67 You're a troll, go away, no one likes you.

  • Why are the funniest American comedians all Jewish?? Shake a leg..mainstream America used to have a sense of humour..be funny again.. please..

  • @lozman67 George Carlin was Irish...name a better US comedian

  • @toobularbells he was born in New York. He was of Irish descent.

  • @lozman67 Richard Pryor, Chris Rock, Bill Hicks, George Carlin, Dave Attell, Dave Chappelle, Bill Burr, Colin Quinn, Jim Gaffigan, Brian Regan, Bob Newhart, Jim Norton, Louis CK, Sam Kinison, Doug Stanhope, Patton Oswalt, Patrice O'Neal, Steven Wright ....yeah, what a buncha jews....

  • these people are watching the flinstones as if it were a documentary hahahaha

  • Religion is the devil!

  • @TH35P3KTRUM that statement is contradicting itself...

  • I Everything started from somewhere and I just can not beleive that my feeling of self is an evolutionary tool or step I dont need to think past how to kill, reproduce, and survive and to do those things I do not need a higher thought process (look at all the animals) so why do we have one

  • Ok, how about everyone try this little thought experiment... if there is a hell and a heaven that implies that people are judged on whether they do 'evil'. yet god created human beings, therefore he created an imperfect creature that was capable of doing 'evil'. If we are imperfect then how are we to be judged on this? It's something that is beyond our control.

If you say that satan put evil in us then how are we accountable for that? Do people who have never heard of your religion go to hell?

  • @MJM153

Well the argument against that typically is that because Eve picked the fruit (and was tempted by the snake) humans fell from grace and became imperfect that very day.

    Flimsy, but there it is.

  • @CazzBlock true, but then god created eve so he is responsible for creating a creature capable of being corrupted and bringing evil into the world... if god created everyone perfectly then we wouldn't have hunger, famine, poverty and wars... makes you think...

  • @MJM153

I agree. Mostly because I don't defend my beliefs, I point out why opposing ones are wrong (it's evolution just so there's no confusion).

Sadly people who have faith actually defend their faith instead of looking for truth. So they will probably never let go of a circular argument like: "God did not create satan, and he was the one who tempted eve."

  • @CazzBlock metaphorically it's accurate. humans used to live quite well before they developed their brains and intelligence, completely unaware of things like MTV or government, no need for jobs, no clue of time, no ungratefulness, hell they didn't even understand the concept of death. Snakes have always been symbolic of wisdom by many cultures because of their wise and patient hunting and hiding skills. The forbidden fruit of knowledge led us to this hell we call "civilization".

  • omg that face! i died when i saw it lmao!! but it gets me thinkin between evolution and religion. idk what to believe anymore. not basing it off this clip but in general.

  • to believe in religion is to belive that reality is only one possability. Fossi!

  • The reason I'm agnostic instead of a full blown atheist is mostly because I have Necrophobia (Fear of the dead) and I take some comfort in the possibility that when I die that I might become more then just a rotting piece of meat and bone. Still.... I think I might make it a point to be cremated when I die... just in case.

  • Ill tell you now, we are all wrong. the odds of an oganised religon being correct are unimaginable! so ill just float around until i die and find out what happens, Also if we go to hell, in the year 2125 (The age of pices suposedly the rapture) hell will not exist! so ill only be in hell for about 25 years. thats alot better than an eternity! and since the jewish, hindus, and most other religons dont beleive in hell, im ok!

  • @dabom34 For what it's worth I believe in God. I attend church regularly but I'll be the first to say that all arguments for and against religion are based on logical fallacies. That doesn't make anyone right or wrong. It just means that both sides are unprovable. If you could prove that God exists then God is not doing his (her, its?) job correctly. Then there would be no such thing as faith and we'd all be double screwed.

  • @itpolaski or you could think with logic and reasoning which makes you doubt at the very least churches, if not god himself, but your choice is your choice, just don't say the.. for lack of better word atheist view points are unprovable, it's based on science, not a book written a couple thousand years ago by people, who had a lot to gain power wise. just saying.

  • I dont think i will ever understand atheists, ever. They wont believe in a god of any sort, and why....? Whats the worst that could happen? NOTHING!! Dont they realize they have nothing to lose? All you have to do is try, fine skip church whatever i know i do but try at least, because if there is a god, than if you remain athesist, well ur fucked arent you?

  • @dabom34 Pascal's Wager... The most boring and most nonsense argument for supporting religion. I bet you don't know what Pascal's Wager is, so go look up Wikipedia youself.

  • It's funny and if you can't or if it brings up questions you can't handle don't watch it.

Everyone is too P.E. and it's a problem.

Live and let live. Funny will get you through things and times. Rememeber that when it's dark inside.

  • ahah love lewis black

  • ok everyone, stop arguing over things that, you or ME, have no idea about, the afterlife, as of now, on an empirical data basis, cannot be explained, and everything we base our reality upon is based on evidence, such as sight, touch, taste, smell and sound, but I agree there are many things we cannot explain , but this cannot alone be a reason to throw away knowledge in place of misconstrued stories and fables told by men who believed the earth was flat....

  • yes because everything was just created in an instant for no reason. thats so much better then believing in god,and just because samar actually believes in his religion, the only reason hes uneducated is because he put "most closest" ya for some reason athiests are just so logical.

  • it's a choice between truth and a comfortable lie.... the reality is we have no purpose but what we make for ourselves.... if you prefer to believe that god created us because it makes you feel better that's fine but to do so and then claim that your belief is the one and only truth is insane.

  • yes, samarqandiy, we're all supposed to be a bunch of mindless fucks that believe whatever the fuck other people say because of some invisible god, psh...

  • @meddlingmage23 nice one!

  • what the fuck is wrong with you

its a fucking opinion so dont fucking freak out

plus he is more educated than you are so shove it up your ass you fanatic asshole!!!!!
