fyi, i haven't watched more than 5 seconds in the tut... looks good but your holding the gun in a very awkward way. just saying it'd be difficult to fire a gun like that and control it. I'm not gun expert, but that's how it looks. If i am wrong, please enlighten me.

Guns don't just flash and shit. Most bullets now even come with smokeless powder. You could have done with just smoke, but not ten feet from the exit point of the bullet. Didn't convince me that this was a good idea.

you have to RAM preview

Ram preview allows you to preveiw the soud but before you hear the sound

it plays the clip without the sound first

and then it plays it again with the sound

You can key out the black background on which the blood is on then set the blood layer's blending mode to 'Overlay', this will make the blood fit into the lighting by itself somewhat.

Ok this is a little hard to explain, but ill put it the simplest way possible... first, remember to duplicate your footage, by highlighting it and pressing ctrl D. Then you have to select the original footage, not the duplicate. then u just use the pen tool to cut out the gun slide and you can place it where ever you want. hope i could help.

this is probably the worst way to add muzzle flashes, cut the frames you want flashes in and import those frames to adobe photoshop cs3 for maximum control, when your done put those frames back into your footage.

bluestar is right you know. Editing each frame manually will give you the best results. However, it is a slow method, so if you're not a paid professional After Effects is probably what you want.

Yeah, photoshop is great for single, one-frame muzzle flashes, but what about when you've got an automatic gun/a bunch of people firing at the same time for a long period?

And you can't do a steady smoky muzzle flash.

hey i need to make a laser shooting through a card or a bullet shooting through a card, do you know how i would do that?

There is a few ways to do the laser but for the card you would have to have a clean comoposite to put underneath the layer with the card and make a hole in that. For a bullet it would be CGI but you could find a pic and animate it and make the paper shatter. If you email me explaining exactly what you want I can make a video.

It's kind of hard for me to tell; when you import the muzzle flashes, are they all in one clip and you just have to crop it down to the single flash that you want?

And just in case if I misused a term, by 'crop' I mean when you grabbed the end of the clips and shortened them to the parts that you wanted.<
