No, the job exists. It's just that officially, the title of the job isn't profiler. I'd say officially, they're behavioral analysists. That's a real job and there's a real BAU.

It's like this. There's no such job as a shrink. When people talk about shrinks, they're talking about a job that's actually a psychologist or psychiatrist. That's the actual real term for the job. Same here. Profiler just isn't the official term for the job, but the job itself exists.
