I've only held ONE 5200 system in my life. It was a harsh system with dead controllers. A wreck of a system that otherwise had potential.

huh. i never knew the actual power gap between atari 2600 and 5200. this game makes it SO clear. looks 100 times better than the 2600 version.

@GraveUypo To even look upon the specs of the 2600, it technically should have never been able to play a game. And, it will always remain the programmer's ultimate challenge to design something worthy upon it, with all it's limitations.

How about a game of Halo 2600...should you ever be fortunate enough to lay eyes upon an actual cartridge.

i ahd moon patrol on 2600. bad game not as bad as Yars Revenge though, i never enjoyed playing Atari back then, the games were more like a chore and i just played them coz thats all i had. Atari truly was the worst console ive owned. no redeeming features or games

@mitzibishi well i had lots of fun with atari. i can't really name the games with the exception of enduro and keystone kapers because i couldn't read yet, let alone in english (not american), but there were at least 10 games i loved, and 20 more i liked.

my favorites were a kind of multi player snake game, and a maze game. man i had so much fun with those.

Great game. I remember playing a "PC" version of it in 83 or 84. It wasn't the first computer game I played, but it was the most memorable. I remember as a young kid feeling like an explorer of alien planets or other scenarios lol. I wasn't very good at it, but I had a great time each time I played it. Wish there was a version on sale on the PS3.

You really need to send one of your 5200 controllers to Best Electronics and have it properly rebuilt. Then we won't have to listen to "Great game but the controllers make it suck". It's like if you had bad NES and every review contained the line "The game is fine, but it's not fun that I have to keep blowing in the cartridge." Don't bother getting "rebuilt" controllers off eBay since they usually aren't. A guy will just take a pencil eraser to the contacts and call it "rebuilt".

There's a C64 ripoff of Moon Patrol called Jeep Command that was awesome as well. Mark really should grab an emulator and review some of those classic 80's computer titles like Jumpman, Lode Runner, Miner 2049'er, etc.
