Nothing new your using the Microsoft Windows Table-top p.c. with software and small pieces of glass using rf chips to recognize the function of each one. Many stores around seattle are using the same technology in bars when one places there drink down on a table it tells the contents of the drink and the facts behind it as well as the price. Nothing new here at all.
there's nothing that you can't get in a store. a touchscreen LCD, and a realy fancy software. ofcourse you also need an engieer's mind and abilities. there's no reason to think that this is a holographic cristals
isnt the point of having this technology, so we dont have to have piles of discs or in this case peaces of glass. i would rather have a folder i could pull up with thoughs things in it.

wow that was the biggest hunk off shit since i saw my mums round....... fuck it is so gay ass if youde put it on ther loser gjiufofghisbhotbjojrbnbthoho;hhhjerhouhfgjhfghjdfgh PS> I LOVE LAMP!!!!!!!!!!
It would be more interesting if there was some kind of running commentary and maybe talk about future practical applications for this. It's really neat but it's hard to understand completely what is going on.
Could become part of a security system...you'd need the correct piece of glass put at the correct place to enter a string of visual code, fingerprints and so on with one or more ppl at the same time... or kind of a tetris :p

Kind of... excessive? Why not just open a window with these things? If the crystal stores so much data, put it inside the computer.
Oh, right, that's not new, exciting, or trendy. That's just more storage space. We need to emulate TV logic in order to impress people.

@TheBSG I was just thinking the same thing but hey microsofts multi touch screens look a lot cooler this look like a cheaper version.

Ummm...
If anyone watches 2057, these are holographic crystals.
They hold huge amounts of data and are probably going to be the most common data storage type in the future.

What's the point of the plates? It just seems to be a touchscreen that can recognise plates. Nice Operating System (software) though

the plates interact, like interchangable pieces of code. stream of conciousness os, its cool. wont be popular though.
