  • me and my buds went on this lift. and when we started going up we were like "where are the other chairs coming down?" then we saw the turn and i was like WTF?

  • @REB2456 Yeah it is one of those unique chair lifts. I don't know why ski resorts place strange lifts like this...Much more recently I went to Jackson Hole in Wyoming and there was another unique lift where the chairs coming down was way above the chairs coming up!

  • @ActionSportsPro Good for you. You sound really athletic if you can ski double blacks by age 9. I first tried double black at age 11. I have been biking since age 3. However I am not saying that age matters. I was just annoyed by the retarded comment that someone (who apparently hacked into my friend's account) posted, as he/she referred me as "kiddie".

  • wow! that is a very odd ski lift!

  • Hello? I don't even know who is using my buddy ramblewoodgirl's account, but to whoever was using her account, I can even do double black diamond so could you please stop assuming I'm much younger than I actually am?

  • The only reason killington has a lift like this is because the owner of Killington went to Germany and saw a lift like this and thought he wanted one two. I'm not sure what the advantage to a lift like this is but it's cool. Another fun lift at Killington is the Snowdon Poma lift. The first time I rode it I fell down because it took off so fast but that was when I was six.

  • This isn't the only ski lift that has a turn. There is a gondola in Breckenridge, Colorado (I've never been there) where there are two turns. Also, Skyeship Gondola turns when it goes through Mid-Station.

  • what? where did you hear than non sence

  • chairlift(dot)org

  • I have always wanted to ride this lift but it is never open when I am there. Last time I went (a few weeks ago) was the first time I have ever seen it running so I rode it. I scared me when it went around the turns but it was fun.

  • I have no idea why this lift is closed a lot, but I go on this lift every time it's open. Plus, this is the first chairlift I've ever been on that has sudden turns.

  • I think the guy talking about the Breck one was talking about the Snowflake lift. It's an old double that turns about 75 degrees and has this huge contraption thing to turn the downhill chairs. The Gondola there turns a couple of times, but that's no surprise, a lot of gondolas turn.

  • The Cabriolet Gondola in Mountain Creek in New Jersey doesn't turn. And this is the first chairlift I've ever been on that turns

  • Whats the point of a cabriolet going to the summit of mountain creek? The one i've been on was to take people from a hotel to a parking lot.

  • Where was that?

  • Winter Park, CO. Its brand new for this year. Just went there over Febuary vacation

  • It's actually fun; this is in Killington, and this is the only ski lift I've been on that has a sudden turn.

  • Yes, I did hear that Breckenridge does have almost 90 degrees turn on one of the gondolas

  • Good for you! How was it? It was the South Ridge Triple in Killington, Vermont, right? If yes, then you came to the right video.

  • TWISTY CHAIR!

  • South Ridge Triple is not always open. On some days, it is closed. But it opens late in the day (like one hour after the ski resort opens) and closes 30 minutes early.

  • you mean the South Ridge Triple? That is the ski lift shown on this video.

  • Yes, any side of Killington is good. This ski lift is on the higher part of the mountain, and is the only ski lift at Killington that has this sudden turns. In fact, it is the only ski lift I've ever seen with sudden turns.
