im not trying to bum you out but those box turtles need more land just clear out some rocks and put in some sand and flat areas for them they are basically a tortoise in the turtle family otherwise great pond for the RESs

A very nice pond for the painted turtles, but it's quite a shame for the Box turtles. You have far too many in such a small area of land. Those are 20+ year old turtles and they will live out the rest of their miserable days in a small area of land next to a garden pond. Box turtles are becoming threatened or endangered in the wild. Don't accumulate so many if you can't take care of them. Your painters and spotted have it good tho.

Nice pond.I bet if you had more dirt areas & less rocks you'd have a better chance of getting them to lay eggs.All those box turtles should be breeding like crazy but they need some dirt to lay the eggs in.
