actually China can smoke most of the countries around world in less than 3 hours, especially the SOuth Korea shit, we can light them all up in less than 30 mins
China is a 3rd world country, doesn't even come close to US. Japan, and S. Korea. It's still a primative and unciviliazed society in most of their country. The whole world knows that.
Political correctness has totally destroyed this Nation which was given to us by the lives of hundreds of thousands of others so we could have the privilege of 'free speech'. But political correctness has destroyed 'free speech'!!
@nerdycub actually it was in the planing stages of the game, but they considered the interdependence of both countries economies. THQ actually made a solid timeline that made a nork invasion possible.
I wish they'd make a Red Dawn remake with canadians attacking us. It would be much more believable than a bunch of starving nkoreans swimming all the way over here.
I didn't know they were doing a remake, or have already, of Red Dawn and based on this video it sounds like it's going to be a real piece-of-shit so now I now not to waste any of my cash on this trash.
I'm sorry, but any respect I had for a remake of Red Dawn is gone now. For one thing, the Chinese (and maybe the Russians) are the only ones who could still feasibly pose a threat to the USA were they to attack conventionally. The North Koreans certainly don't have the capacity to do so, despite having the world's 5th largest military. At this point, they should get rid of the remake entirely.
WOW, I think the Chinese mainland has redefined the words Propaganda BS, and why does there news always use such crappy CG. China is the perfect example why news should never be Government run. Very sad indeed.
@notifly Yea but Its not who makes it, its who pays for it to be done that owns it and the fact that they have to outsource for crappy CG is even sadder.
@jasonpwilson01XFORCE Fuckers, this crappy CGI is nothing to do with mainland Chinese, understand? YOu brainwashed zombie can you understand this by using your crappy brain?
@notifly I love the shit out of Taiwan for this, wasn't the point of all the pre-production posters to satirize the CCPs lame ass excuses for political repression to get support for the movie in the first place? I'm really disappointed with hollywood; first they lose all sense of creativity, then they go and suck panda小弟.
I will not see this movie I actually really wanted to see because this is so stupid. It will probably be banned in China anyways for some stupid reason. Fuck Hollywood.
My feelings are a bit mixed towards the change, (I am Chinese myself), personally I thought this movie if using Chinese would just "demonize" and stereotyping Chinese (shit like Flashpoint) and more US flag waving. However using Sino-Russian alliance would be more plauseable setting as both country got the economy, resource, military and enough manpower than the impoverished N.Korea. Also many Chinese aren't fond of their "dear leader" Kim for making us deal with their messed upped shit.
China makes a credible enemy because the US owes them so much money. Yet we can't even make a movie about them because we owe them so much money. That's irony.
BTW, I'd also be insulted if I were Chinese in that--Chinese or Koreans, to Hollywood they're all the same.
Terrible time for a Red Dawn remake. The Red Scare is either dead or dormant right now. If anything, the US is more worried about an invasion from a Middle Eastern country, but of course that would probably be even more offensive.
That said, I wish Hollywood would stop victimizing the US in every movie. The US is highly capable of being the main instigator of WWIII if push comes to shove over economic issues.
China not only trades with Korea but gives military technology. Since Korea is much of a communist gov't as China. Both will be similar in how they handle their economy. A war with the US and Korea becomes a possibility...US being threatened bans exports...but these efforts failed as Korea relies its exports and allies itself with China and Iran. Korea was trying to be at peace with the US...however in secret was planning a secret surprise attack on the US...
1: they must dissolve their military posts in the world.
2: drastically reduce US food imports, when when oil prices collapsed
Instead the US ignores these options...in hopes that these problems will pass. Instead of implementing actual reforms, the US started to borrow money from abroad. BUT this caused the US economy and infrastructure to collapse. China's economy as well was effected and so started to trade more with its neighbor Korea.
The US economy goes through another great depression with the debt increasing. Resulting people rioting across the country to overthrow the gov't. Civil unrest increase resulting a military lockdown. Without money the country simply could not survive. The US leadership was confronted with a difficult decision on how to
adjust. They have several extreme options in order to recover...
Korea helped Iran and China in their wars much like how South Korea helped the US in the Vietnam War...giving Korea a economic boost becoming a powerhouse. China was in war with taiwan or india...and Korea helps China. While in the Middle East...Korea helps IRAN fight off egypt or Saudi Arabia over Iraq and Afg...giving Korea large oil resources. As for the US...it strained relations with IRAN and China. Its wars in the middle easts. The US is suffering a bad economy as well as having high oil
US focused mostly on home and the war happening in the middle east and doesn't want to have a war in the pacific as it is too strained to handle it. Lets say that there is a global war happening in the middle east...it keeps diplomatic peace with Korea...despite the US criticism and sanctions...Korea is a large asian imperialistic empire. It took over SE nations because of its nuclear/military and economic influence in these countries...
Japan surrenders...giving Korea a strong technological and economical site. China stays quiet...as long as Korea doesn't interfere with China's interests. Korea becomes friends with the United States after the unification... however the US criticized Korea for the takeover of Japan and doing so cuts some trade...but Korea n US are somewhat try to stay away from a war. UN put sanctions...however Korea ignores this...it continues to do well...then it starts to invade other SE nations...
Then right after that...the US army leaves because of the NK threat is no longer existent and so there were Japanese nationals who happen to not like the US being there in Japan also because there is no reason to be there. Korea economy improves like Germany but takes several decades for them to recover unless NK improved its economy beforehand...Korea threatens Japan, probably over racial violence/territorial issue like dokdo..and will use missile strikes on Japan's key nuclear structures.
I know u guys are saying NK can't invade the US...but that is just now...this movie will occur in the future. Anything can happen. Like NK and SK uniting but under a socialist/communist gov't. Like what happens if SK's gov't was overthrown by a military coup of NK after unification? Kim Jung il dies and the military of NK takes over secretly. It happened before with SK having a coup under Park Chung hee. The only difference is that the leader is a former NK military commander.
Aww geeze, why North Korea? The only other Nation in the whole world that would be able to invade the USA sucessfully would be China, North Korea would not even have enough planes to gain air superiority, especially if they need to use them in south Korea. They should of put north korea in the role that the soviet allies in latin america such as Cuba had in the first movie. plus it would get the movie out quicker!! AGGHHH now its going to be delayed EVEN MORE!

@jen8933 true and alot of americans do know this mainly because the media constantly points out these problems because well they are big problems but our military spending is so high no other country comes close so the us can probably win a war with any single country it wouldnt be easy but we have some really amazing technology, well trained soildiers and effective strategies if war began we would probably invade china before they could train their people into soilders
so many ppl in need and we devote a trillion dollars for the military which can't seem to do much right anymore.
the military industrial complex keeps pushing the hi tech warfare while the tactics of real on the ground warfare is being practiced the same way it was in older wars.
being determinded and having lots of cool toys isn't all that is needed.
@jen8933 well we kinda need it the world is a dangerous place and a large military is neccassary as at any point a flah point situation could erupt and who would the un probably ask to resolve it? the us and hi tech warfare works thats why we use it why bother taking on tanks with tanks when you can just pound all the enemys tanks to dust with drones then send out our significant and well trained and well equipped ground forces to finish them off
LOL You guys are funny, but only because you missed the point so badly! Can you imagine what taiwan film industry would do if a Taiwan fillmaker made such a film about the invasion of Taiwan. Today, the only "invasion" we need fear, is not newks from No Korea, but nuclear radiation invading from Japan!
Wake up folks! The cold war is over and we are running out of water!
North Koreans, Really! Who comes up with these RETARDED ideals? Most N. Koreans are starving to death. Their leadership is afraid of South Korea. Yet we are suppose to imagine them, invading the U.S.A. Can you say another Hollyweird LOSER!
@JBSauce LOL. So was Italy in World War 2, but you DO NOT see many W.W.2 movies about those "DANGEROUS Italians". LMFAO Unless you consider the movie "Rocky" a war movie :)-
@TORREY333 No they couldn't do that, might be seen as offensive. They would rather stick to "safe to hate" enemies like zombies, Nazis, Nazi zombies, generic eastern Europeans, generic Middle Easterners, generic South / Central Americans, aliens, robots etc.
@ImmortalDestructor It seems like they are all caught in a P.C. psychosis of fear. Do not offend bullies and we can create Utopia, where rainbows will shootout of our asses.lol I want a movie to entertain and excite me, NOT lecture and bore me. They also need to have an intelligence level higher than a three year old! How about them getting out of politics and getting back to ENTERTAINMENT, there is an ideal :)
So North Korea is going to send over their starving masses to invade? The fact is Red Dawn doesn't a need remake and Hollywood is bereft of creativity and talent.
I've never seen the original Red Dawn, but let me get a few things straight:
A superpower that is a rival to the U.S, decides to invade. But instead of a co-ordinated attack on the capital or New York or any place that actually matters, a small town gets invaded. And it takes a group of teenagers to stop them. With tanks going back and forth the roads and armed patrols taking up every square inch? And this is the sort of film that's looking to be remade? We all know that Hollywood have complete
What a bunch of pussies, most of the Chinese I know actually were interested in seeing it. Are only the Chinese who go abroad intelligent enough to deal with it?
@ShinobiMexicano No, it's just Hollywood Execs who have a perception of China that seems to be stuck somewhere in the colonial era. I think If I were Chinese, I might be offended by the idea that I was viewed as interchangeable with a north korean though, now that I think about it, what with the ridiculous "Asians all look the same" stereotype.
All in all, wow, I'm just amazed by the craziness.

The fact is Red Dawn doesn't a need remake and Hollywood is bereft of creativity and talent.

ly run out of ideas for years, but what about films that will allow the viewer to suspend their disbelief in this day and age?

ShinobiMexicano 11 months ago 4
@ShinobiMexicano No, it's just Hollywood Execs who have a perception of China that seems to be stuck somewhere in the colonial era. I think If I were Chinese, I might be offended by the idea that I was viewed as interchangeable with a north korean though, now that I think about it, what with the ridiculous "Asians all look the same" stereotype.
All in all, wow, I'm just amazed by the craziness.
