the way walmart treats its overseas manufacturers is almost criminal ..... thier policies towards thier own employees is questionable at best .... but i still shop there because thier prices are the lowest on brand name items.... so am i part of the solution - or the problem ??
Walmart treats their employess terribly. There needs to be a law against hiring people as part time, then working them 38 hours a week and still considering them "part time" so that you don't have to give them benefits that a full time employee gets. What a joke. Employees that are treated well tend to enjoy their jobs and appear happy. When's the last time you saw a happy person working at WM? I consistently get cashiers that are in a foul mood and not polite at all.
@somenewdude2 Um I am pretty sure he is reading the letter, because its supposed to be from a customer who is writing the company about how much money she has saved.
Its ok to hate Wal-Mart, just make sure you do it for the right reasons. How they treat sales and labor employees needs to be amended of course. But you have to admit, the products are incredibly inexpensive, and it IS a far more efficient way of shopping if you take the environment into consideration. David Suzuki made this statement.
And don't forget, Wal-Mart started really small, as a family business. Its a fantastic symbol for the "American Dream".
@applesauceinmyear Stop using workers? Who's going to stock the shelves and operate the cash register? I don't believe you put much thought behind your ridiculous comment.
