It's a 5 year old Sony digi camera, W series, about the size of a pack of cigs but a little fatter. It's nothing fancy--3Megapixel, 3X optical zoom. The visual is actually not that great, but Sony cameras have superior audio recording capability, and that's what we want at a concert! In Portland I also used a small telephoto lens to increase zoom to about 9X total. For this video I shot a lot on the side screens (not my first choice) due to some on-stage lighting challenges.
