Furthermore your concept on rights is deeply flawed. You see in Nazi Germany, the "collective" believed JEWISH had no rights, much like the Turkish with the Armenians in the early 1900s, and how the Hutu did with the Tutsi in 1994. When you allow the "collective" to decide right you end up with the WORST HUMAN RIGHTS VIOLATIONS. Our Constitution, which holds the Bill of Rights, which protects sacred rights which our founders believed should never be taken. I trust their view over yours.
@EsklayWilson And guess what we freed the slaves through Constitutional Amendment. You see when you believe "collective" can grant rights then you believe the "collective" can take them away. You not see how that sets the stage for massive human rights violations?
@CRTV1982 You just validated what I said, The "Collective" organized an Army, beat the South then passed amendments banning slaves. God did not do any of that! Those Southerners were devout Xtians too & their churches said slavery then Jim Crow was ok with God. So spare us your infantile logic. Our founding fathers were not a Collective that spoke in one voice, thought exactly alike & were all devout Xtians. It sounds like what little history you know comes from talk radio & Dave Barton.
@EsklayWilson It was not an organized Army so much as a horde. Furthermore, collectivism brought us Hitler, Stalin, Mao, Che, Castro, Pol Pot, Mugabe, and the list continues. The Jim Crow laws were placed by a collective as well. Jim Crow used his religion as a political tool, he was not subserviant to his religion, a big difference from how our founders saw things. You obviously have no clue what you are talking about but then again that is to be expected from a welfare recipient.
@CRTV1982 Finally, those founding fathers who you blindly worship, permitted slavery and let the Indians be decimated. God must have told them that was okay when they wrote the Constitution. So they took away the rights of those two groups and granted no rights to women either. So there goes your infantile "GOD granted us those rights and the collective takes them away"
@EsklayWilson Furthermore you are right, our founders were not collectivists. Furthermore you may as well substitute "collective rights" for "no rights" because no rights is what you will get. Furthermore you hold our founders with such scorn for slavery while ignoring the atrocities commited in the name of collectivism. It seems like I am trying to explain to a kid that it is not okay to hit his brother and the kid is stuck on "he called me stupid". That is what it is like talking to you.
@CRTV1982 I am not sure exactly what someone means when they smear someone else as a "collectivist", but my guess that's some juvenile talk radio attempt to label everyone you disagree with as Communist. Some of our founding fathers were against slavery, some were also devout as others were not. They were not some Borg collective nor, as you just lied, do I hold them in scorn, unlike the scorn I have for you. Women, Blacks & Indians did not have rights in 1787, OK? That's a fact, Stalin or not
@EsklayWilson Wrong, we eliminated slavery and protected human rights for everyone with the 13th and 14th Amendments. Furthermore, many of our founders saw slavery as a "peculiar institution".
@CRTV1982 Yet every government in the Europe in 1776, including the English, were officially Xtian and all had God on their side. So why weren't all those countries overflowing with human rights? Typical dishonest circular reasoning you theocons employ. God is a sockpuppet used by the unscrupulous to manipulate and control the masses.
@EsklayWilson Yeah, except they were not really Christians, they were using their demoninations to push an agenda. Very much so like "Liberation" Theology does to people today. Come to think of it same for just about every liberal today. There is a a HUGE difference in believing a creator endowed people with certain inaleinable rights (that is what our founders believed) and use of religion to push an agenda (Europeans, "Liberation" theologists, and liberal politicians).
@CRTV1982 Who th4e hell are you to go around determining who was a real Xtiazn or not? You remind me of those Muslims who say that terrorist was not a real Muslim. There is no logic to what you say. Catholics believed at that time, the word of the Pope was God's word and God endowed certain people to rule on Earth. Are you going to run your mouth & say they weren't REAL XTIANS? All you are doing is parroting back childish talk radio nonsense and acting like that is profound.
@EsklayWilson Those Euros were not real christians, they were using religion as a political tool. What is funny is that you can not seem to grasp that. Yes Islamo-fascist use Islam as a political tool. And no, I am not a muslim. Yes, I can say that those who claim to be christian who use their religion as a political tool are not real christians. Anyone who would take something as sacred as religious doctrine or the Constitution and use it as a political tool are not truly believers in them.
@Emperordante So does that mean I can demand someone accept me as a "progressive" and still keep my "right-wing" views? I am white, yet I think I should be referred to as an "African-American". See what I mean, yet?
@Emperordante founders were. Take the Spanish Inquistion, those guys are in no way real Christians. That goes for the Televangelists that claim that "People need to send their money in for salvation in the name of Christ" They are not real preachers nor are they real Christians.
So on your view on the death penatly, what of justice for the VICTIMS of the MURDERERS. Is it fair that the MURDERERS LIVE while the VICTIMS DIE? The Death Penatly is about Justice. You in the UK may think you are being humane by going easy on murderers however, you fail to see how you are slapping the victims and their relatives in the face.
@MetalGearGas You haven't watched his videos in that case xD He's a complete and utter douche. He condescends everyone in his videos regardless of who he thinks might be watching. In other words, he thinks his face is treacle and everyone wants a lick.
Oops lol. At 4:14 u rote "no capitalistic society has EVERY had a famine" I believe u ment " has EVER" had a famine. Correct me if I misunderstood. Great vid tho
Yea htww, I can tell we aren't in the same league when it comes to law. The declaration of independence says "life, liberty, and the persuit of happiness. "
And I think you're kinda behind on the humility bandwagon too.
As a sidenote I'm only in 10th grade. You fail htww. So hard it makes puppies cry.
@mynameisdarthtater Actually it was originally said "Life, Liberty and Property" by John Locke. HTWW is an intellectual lightweight but wasn't wrong in this case.
@mynameisdarthtater Well, John Locke's (who was one of the many inspirations for the formation of the US) original three rights were "life, liberty, and property." But yes, the pre-United States founding fathers chose to change "property" to "pursuit of happiness" for whatever reason.
@mynameisdarthtater 'Yea htww, I can tell we aren't in the same league when it comes to law. The declaration of independence says "life, liberty, and the persuit of happiness. "'
I'm not sure why you're saying this. Is it because he's for the death penalty?
I'm with Tf00t on everything in this vid except the rights thing. I consider rights to be inherent to our status as human beings. The collective can, at best, *recognize* rights or refuse to. My rights to live, to hold my own opinions, to pursue my own interests & goals, are rights I'd be exercising tomorrow if society fell apart today. Civil rights movements are driven by anger that society denies cognizance of rights to one group that it honors in other groups, not a failure to grant them.
The world spinning backwards video clip is a funny thing because most video editing software can just by a few clicks 'play backwards' - apart from that, I don't get why 2 guys start a virtual video fight and try to disprove another. Anyone with a bit of brain can see the difference between a psycho ratling off crap and a normal person.
@elektron2kim The irony of having a backwards spinning planet in your intro and calling yourself *How The World Works* is too delicious. Epic nom nom. I also had the misfortune of watching his Story of Stuff responses. It became apparent to me as soon as he started talking about *the third world* to debunk claims of exploitation, that he, in fact, does not know how the world actually works.
Phasing out the human race will solve every problem on earth including social and environment, is true? There would sill be forest fires, natural oil seepages, meteor impacts that destroy local environments, floods etc.. ALL OF WHICH cause environmental damage. There would also be "social" problems as well, just not with humans. There will still be cases of species wiping out other species, fighting within packs (apes, for instance), fights between packs (again apes) etc. TF, stick with fundies.
Do you realize that you can turn the earth upside down and make it spin around "backwards". Do you understand gravity and how there's no top or bottom in space? Do you realize that your political ideaology is more damaging to the world today than any dying religion? I guess not.
I cant possibly fathom why HTWW would be fine with executing innocent people for the sake of preventing murders. There is an obvious solution to that problem. Just keep convicted murdered in jail for the rest of their lives. No innocent people executed, no murderers re-offend.
What psychopath would be okay with executing innocents when a obvious and moral solution exists?
@mana2432 complete lulz ^_^ unless you have a problem with your brainz. BTW, your comment was marked as spam and I despammed it (if that's even a word U_U). Nice thumb botting by the way, not just yours but all pro HTWW; complete facepalm ^_^U
Wow...never before have I seen ignorance being so well masqueraded as knowledge. Howtheworldworks' problem is that he honestly thinks he is well informed, and that his arbitrary logic is flawless. So flawless in fact, that he doesn't need to research
@RevolutionaryJam The argument for free markets is essentially utilitarian. It harnesses a human's lust for money and power into a system that creates more wealth in the long run do to better methods, technology, creativity and response to other's wants. It works great most of the time but the flaw is that greed is an essential part of it and that is a negative trait.
Without a doubt, you are not in the same league as HTTW. This video fails to be an adequate rebuttal to HTTW. You were plain wrong and too pretentious to admit it. Plus, "Like I said, an attention whore, a subscriber whore, and a money grubber." HTTW makes you sound like a preteen with a manly voice.
@mrgently the government is an instrument of the people, no matter if it is socialist of capitalist. so yes, the government is (or at least should be) the society, or a representation of it. the problem is that people hate the government because the people in it have personal interests which come in conflict with the interests of the society, which leads to the false impression that the government does not care about the citizen, when its function is in fact the opposite.
An interesting note on Rommel, he also ignored orders to execute captured Jews in his theaters of command and was commended by POWs for his humane treatment of them. If I'm not mistaken the Afrikacorps was never accused of war crimes.
@Awwscrewit Yes he was not officially a Nazi but he fervently admired Hitler. He was also a decorated WW l officer when he helped defeat the Italians, something the Italians he commanded in WW ll resented.
Graduating from a top school doesn't make one smart... sadly. One can pass tests even without necessarily understanding all that has been taught, luck may play part and of course, one might have just barely passed with low grades.
Remember, folks, Michael fucking Behe has degrees in Biology...while it adds to one's credentials potentially..not a foolproof resume to be able to play armchair prophet....
I second that I was disappointed with TF's lack of objective rebuttal, even in the name calling was, imho, justified . HTWW annoys the ever loving shit out of me. He reminds me of Brainy Smurf...only more annoying.
Hey tf00t - I like alot of what you have to say, and you may have addressed this in another vid I haven't seen, but for me personally I'd prefer to hear less insulting comments/namecalling.
I much prefer your videos when they play to their strengths - reason, logic, science, evidence, observation, research.
So is he saying that he is educated in many fields but not an expert at any? And that going to a top school means we should all bow to you? People like you make me angry. Thx goodness for those like thunderfoot who challange people like you.
Interesting. At 2:17 he starts ranting on being superior in multiple fields. But he listed only a few qualifications (and doesn't say what fields these were). Surely he should have specialized in one field and not been a expert on everything. I am a chemical engineer . . . but not about to claim my training in engineering grants superiority in unrelated fields like social science, education, economics, politics, and so on.
First off.... When your common sence is superior to someone else. Such as Thunderfoot is to HTWW. He is simply better than him at life. Plain and simple!!! No specification is needed. End of story. PERIOD!!!
@applefrog111 seriously dude, I couldn't give two shits about who makes money off youtube or he said this and he said that, thats some gossiping shit that doesn't contribute anything to their argument. Point is, you give credit where credit is due. TF is really good when it comes to biology, but when it comes to economics, he is simply not right, and HTWW showed him he wasn't right.
@TheManiacalSatanist6 That says that Tf00t is an intellectual lightweight. He's pretty good when it comes to science, but once he tries to explain economics he's a complete disaster. I don't blame him though, he's a statist...if you don't believe me watch the vids from Fringeelements and Intheendiwasright.
@SolidSnakeRules lmao, tf00t didn't even understand supply and demand, the most simple law of economics, shit, he thought that the free market is driven solely on profits, and you're saying that htww is dangerously ignorant when it comes to economics? gtfo of here with that bullshit. tf00t got shitted on by IntheendIwasright, just so you know.
@mana2432 Thunderf00t has not commenteed on economics ever.... and as for law legality is often based on morality something thunderf00t knows more about . In addition the modern judicial system is fucked.
Nice video, If you want to make money and earn free prizes, watch my videos. Anyone who comments them or rates them a 5 will get the same done to ALL their videos,
OMG Howtheworldworks is so unbelievably fucking cocky!!!!!
I've gotten into comment debates with him before, and he's just plain frustrating, because, as you beautifully illustrated, he claims to have superior knowledge to everyone he talks to, and then flat out rejects logic.
I have to disagree about the US vs Germany in WW2 part. We would've beaten the Germans in the end, it just would've been a much more painful process. Of course, in order for America to be that close to Germany, so many things would have to be different that there really is no way of knowing what would happen.
To be grossly elitist, a quick google-about reveals that mr. credentials' grad degree is from a 4th tier law school (ranked 77th by USN&WR). Apparently his impressive understanding of biology wasn't impressive enough for a law school that actually grads people with job prospects to accept him.
The death penalty isn't a punishment, it's a PRECAUTION. Punishments are to improve behavior, and death doesnt' do that. The death penalty is to be used on people who have little to no chance of reforming. And while murder is a serious crime AND of immense consequence to the victims, there are crimes that require the culprit to be FAR more heartless and rotten, such as rape.
I also think that it's an extreme case of hypocrisy that the same 'bumbling government' that he doesn't want running health care would be allowed to decide who deserves to live, according to HTWW
Every thing that comes out of Lee Moron's mouth is hypocritical. He has to be the most condescending person I have ever witnessed. Reminds me of a time when I bought a twat like him three extra shots at a bar just to watch him fall on his face and get kicked out, before being pummeled by the bouncers.
Lol, I hate that term "Leftist" or lefty, as much as I hate the term, neo con. They are misleading labels spouted in the heat of emotion. As for pork-barrel spending. It is not something that only democrats do. But more interesting is that, people don't realize that the differences between republican and democrat are meaningless, they are just different flavors of the same corruption. I'm not saying the system is bad, just the people we elect to organize, and manage it.
His real name has been made public, he was at some "tea-bagger meeting" making a tarded speech..So it should be pretty easy to find out what education he actually does have..if any. : )
Wow, that libertarian money grubbing subscriber whore sure go put in his place by that leftist money grubbing subscriber whore!

However, instead of sharing or reinvesting the wealth from the wealth created by the collective, they take the profits and declare insolvency when the real shit goes down.
CRTV1982 1 year ago
@CRTV1982 Yet we had black slavery and an eliminationist policy towards the Indians for almost 100 years with our constitution.
EsklayWilson 1 year ago
@EsklayWilson And guess what we freed the slaves through Constitutional Amendment. You see when you believe "collective" can grant rights then you believe the "collective" can take them away. You not see how that sets the stage for massive human rights violations?
CRTV1982 1 year ago
@CRTV1982 You just validated what I said, The "Collective" organized an Army, beat the South then passed amendments banning slaves. God did not do any of that! Those Southerners were devout Xtians too & their churches said slavery then Jim Crow was ok with God. So spare us your infantile logic. Our founding fathers were not a Collective that spoke in one voice, thought exactly alike & were all devout Xtians. It sounds like what little history you know comes from talk radio & Dave Barton.
EsklayWilson 1 year ago
@EsklayWilson It was not an organized Army so much as a horde. Furthermore, collectivism brought us Hitler, Stalin, Mao, Che, Castro, Pol Pot, Mugabe, and the list continues. The Jim Crow laws were placed by a collective as well. Jim Crow used his religion as a political tool, he was not subserviant to his religion, a big difference from how our founders saw things. You obviously have no clue what you are talking about but then again that is to be expected from a welfare recipient.
CRTV1982 1 year ago
@CRTV1982 Finally, those founding fathers who you blindly worship, permitted slavery and let the Indians be decimated. God must have told them that was okay when they wrote the Constitution. So they took away the rights of those two groups and granted no rights to women either. So there goes your infantile "GOD granted us those rights and the collective takes them away"
EsklayWilson 1 year ago
@EsklayWilson Furthermore you are right, our founders were not collectivists. Furthermore you may as well substitute "collective rights" for "no rights" because no rights is what you will get. Furthermore you hold our founders with such scorn for slavery while ignoring the atrocities commited in the name of collectivism. It seems like I am trying to explain to a kid that it is not okay to hit his brother and the kid is stuck on "he called me stupid". That is what it is like talking to you.
CRTV1982 1 year ago
@CRTV1982 I am not sure exactly what someone means when they smear someone else as a "collectivist", but my guess that's some juvenile talk radio attempt to label everyone you disagree with as Communist. Some of our founding fathers were against slavery, some were also devout as others were not. They were not some Borg collective nor, as you just lied, do I hold them in scorn, unlike the scorn I have for you. Women, Blacks & Indians did not have rights in 1787, OK? That's a fact, Stalin or not
EsklayWilson 1 year ago
@EsklayWilson Wrong, we eliminated slavery and protected human rights for everyone with the 13th and 14th Amendments. Furthermore, many of our founders saw slavery as a "peculiar institution".
CRTV1982 1 year ago
@CRTV1982 Yet every government in the Europe in 1776, including the English, were officially Xtian and all had God on their side. So why weren't all those countries overflowing with human rights? Typical dishonest circular reasoning you theocons employ. God is a sockpuppet used by the unscrupulous to manipulate and control the masses.
EsklayWilson 1 year ago
@EsklayWilson Yeah, except they were not really Christians, they were using their demoninations to push an agenda. Very much so like "Liberation" Theology does to people today. Come to think of it same for just about every liberal today. There is a a HUGE difference in believing a creator endowed people with certain inaleinable rights (that is what our founders believed) and use of religion to push an agenda (Europeans, "Liberation" theologists, and liberal politicians).
CRTV1982 1 year ago
@CRTV1982 Who th4e hell are you to go around determining who was a real Xtiazn or not? You remind me of those Muslims who say that terrorist was not a real Muslim. There is no logic to what you say. Catholics believed at that time, the word of the Pope was God's word and God endowed certain people to rule on Earth. Are you going to run your mouth & say they weren't REAL XTIANS? All you are doing is parroting back childish talk radio nonsense and acting like that is profound.
EsklayWilson 1 year ago
@EsklayWilson Those Euros were not real christians, they were using religion as a political tool. What is funny is that you can not seem to grasp that. Yes Islamo-fascist use Islam as a political tool. And no, I am not a muslim. Yes, I can say that those who claim to be christian who use their religion as a political tool are not real christians. Anyone who would take something as sacred as religious doctrine or the Constitution and use it as a political tool are not truly believers in them.

There would sill be forest fires, natural oil seepages, meteor impacts that destroy local environments, floods etc.. ALL OF WHICH cause environmental damage. funny htww making a utilitarian argument for the death sentence when free market capitalism fundamentally opposes the principles of utilitarianism.
RevolutionaryJam 1 year ago
@RevolutionaryJam The argument for free markets is essentially utilitarian. It harnesses a human's lust for money and power into a system that creates more wealth in the long run do to better methods, technology, creativity and response to other's wants. It works great most of the time but the flaw is that greed is an essential part of it and that is a negative trait.

The death penalty isn't a punishment, it's a PRECAUTION. Punishments are to improve behavior, and death doesnt' do that. And while murder is a serious crime AND of immense consequence to the victims, there are crimes that require the culprit to be FAR more heartless and rotten, such as rape.
