You're getting me wanting to try pineapple again. I was put off before when it was stinging my mouth after eating 1/3 of it. I will have to watch your How To Choose A Ripe Pineapple video. Btw, lemon or orange juice is nice in banana smoothies, too (for me anyway).
@Boulet722 I would recommend choosing cooked carbohydrate options (e.g. brown rice, sweet potatoes, etc.) instead of nuts if you don't have access to enough quality fruit.
@Boulet722 i am pritty active all year round. oftern spending alot of time outside both at work and after..i go running every two or three days. when i stick to high carb low fat - cooked or raw my energy levels are high and stable all day/year. when its cold sometimes saled's at night just dont feel like 'enough'. this oftern happens if i havn't had enough cals though out the day - the colder it is the more you need. when this happens i look to...
@Boulet722 2) ..... potato, sweet potato, yams, parsnips, brown rice, wild long grain rice, millet... i usually turn to this opion when i simply havn't got enough in during the day! :( ~ i live in northern england, on the north sea coast!
@Boulet722 i love mixing citrus fruit with bananas...its really what keeps me raw. i ither throw it all in a blender, or mash up 10/15 bananas and then juice some citrus in and mix. right now, im loving lime!! very tasty!! ~ also when i eat it this way, as opposed to just peeling and eating the bananas, any issues with mono meals of fruit 'causing' me to be cold just dont come up...its the same with saled dressing. a little more prep does wounders fro me when its cold! ~ james :)
@rndmbrowser I don't know about that. What about Doug Graham, Don Bennett, Ellen Livingston, Frederic Patenaude, Roger Haeske, Freelea, Harley Johnstone, Michael Arnstein, and Chris Kendall? None of them look "skinny and spacey" to me. I've noticed that it's usually the raw foodists who are eating too much fat and not enough fruit who look like that.
@FitOnRaw Almost all of those you mentioned belong to one or more of the following categories: are not doing well at all, are not strict raw vegans, their reputation and finance depend on marketing the diet, or not being completely honest. I will take just one example because I don’t have time. Don Bennett followed 811 exactly including the instruction of not to supplement. He developed a life threatening condition due to deficiency and had eventually to supplement to stay alive.
@rndmbrowser I thought you were talking about eating a low fat, high fruit raw vegan diet, not specifically 80/10/10. Like Don and many others, I don't follow 811rv since I consume some seaweeds, some condiments like scallions, and some supplements like B12.
@FitOnRaw Thank you very much for sharing your experience with us. Could you please tell us exactly what do you take as a b12 supplement and how often? I tried many brands, and forms. The effect of all of them was momentary. Only the injections lasted long enough, but they are risky and I would never take them again.
@rndmbrowser I don't go by feeling. I honestly can't tell a difference taking B12 versus the 3+ years that I didn't take it. What I go by is test results. Get tested, see if you need to supplement, take a sublingual methylcobalamin, and get tested again to see if it actually works.
Thank you for the video. Most of time I can not find in Las Vegas during the winter organic grapes, persimmons, papaya (which is GMO), peaches... Do you think that consuming not organic fruits is smart recommendation?
@VeganExcellence Yes, I do. If you can't get organic, conventionally grown fresh produce is the next best choice. Plus, the quality of the produce (taste and ripeness) is more important than the organic label.

I think i'll stick to bacon, eggs, dairy, roast meats and warm dairy drinks this winter. Vegan-ism is not only unhealthy, it's boring.
