@mismestera - she didn't love him. If she did & they got married, they would have been divorced sooner or later. Margaret was a snob par excellence. She certainly was the last famous Princess of the old school. In fact, if the monarchy managed to dish out another generation who behaved as she did, it would have been the end of them.
