People who like kotor we need to tell bioware that most people do not want to pay 15 dollers a month. I mean i would pay 5 dollers a month. For example look at xbox 360. I pay 60 dollers a month and look at how good there doing. I pay money for this but not 15 dollers a month. So please someone help me try to tell this to bioware!

They've put alot of work into the game, and WoW even makes you pay 15 a month. 15 dollars is a standard price for online gameing and considering all of the work they've put in I personally am glad that they did not make it higher. What you should argue is the pricing of the game itself since most online games I think are 30 dollars, this one is 60. That may be there way of compinsating for work. But you can't argue because others are willing to pay.

@DarwynxRivver because it's an MMO, having high graphics on MMO's is challenging as thousands even hundreads of thousands of people can play on one server high graphics would be too much. Imagine if whatever online shooter you play did not have 12 or 18 people, but thousands, then imagine the map is huge in comparison.
Man, everytime I watch a new trailer for a different class, it changes my mind about my first character's first class. That's how bioware designed it and wants it. They want ALL of the classes to be exciting and fun to play. Not just the lightsaber and force weilding classes.
I hope to god there is going to be unrestricted pvp action. Like how WOW had servers for that garbage. I'm not gonna run around in space, and land on korriban and watch the ugly sith troopers run amuck, without me being able to kill them, and eat their first born child!

What bothers you is the artstyle. It is ment to be more like a comic. Same comments were done on wow when it was compared to Everquest II when it was about to launch. Photo-realism isn't the only thing you can work with.
@Longmachao just because it's not a realistic style like mass effect 2 dont mean it dont have good graphics. bioware chose these kind of graphics for a reason.... to easily reach a wide spectrum of graphic cards, itll look nice on both low and high end. if they went with mass effect 2 style graphics then that would lower the number of audience theyd reach with a high demand of high end systems.

@TheSWTORMMO haha, this is the exact reason I don't talk to people on the internet, I haven't been on here since, If I really wanted to. I can go out of my way to attack this like no other, THAT would actually be going on the internet to hate on the game, I have no doubt people will have fun with this, I was just disapointed that this franchise turned into a different type of game. Please, try to have a better reason of insulting me before you know my reason for voicing my displeasure about it

The way all the classes are looking, I'm thinking about making a character for each class. Jedi, Sith, Bounty Hunter, Republic Trooper, just to name a few. They all look really fucking cool.

Graphics are fine.
What bothers you is the artstyle. It is ment to be more like a comic. Same comments were done on wow when it was compared to Everquest II when it was about to launch. Photo-realism isn't the only thing you can work with.

@Longmachao just because it's not a realistic style like mass effect 2 dont mean it dont have good graphics. bioware chose these kind of graphics for a reason.... to easily reach a wide spectrum of graphic cards, itll look nice on both low and high end. if they went with mass effect 2 style graphics then that would lower the number of audience theyd reach with a high demand of high end systems.

@trentdubb05 @Longmachao another reason they chose the stylized graphics is to make a game of their own, like their trademark, so someone can glance at a screenshot and say, "oh hey thats star wars the old republic!

@trentdubb05 Exactly. I can look at screenshots from a dozen MMOs and see the same Asian-inspired character models and looks. But when I look at a screenshot of WoW, I KNOW it's WoW; I see the same situation happening with SWTOR. In fact, if someone picked a random screenshot and didn't tell me it was from SWTOR, I would still know beyond a doubt that it is SWTOR, because nothing else out there looks exactly like it.
That's how you create a signature style and brand, people.

whats funny is one of my friends is going to play as a Jedi knight opposite my sith inquisitor. he said he hopes he'll run into me on the game so he can save me from myself, lol yeah right, like hes gonna obi wan me.... me! i dont think he really deep down wants to do that. because if he cant be turned to the darkside....... then to me hes just another soon to be a cut down dead jedi. nothing more, nothing less. i'd love to see a jedi try & do me like obi wan did anakin.

@DoomGiver93,its just a matter of taste, some people think the sith are badass & epic and that the jedi are boring, out dated,& weak. so some may think if you play as a jedi your a noob cause from where i sit,that is the easy path.but dont worry i'll bring order back though pain. me myself, i crave power, i control the force not the other way around. & i will use it to take what i want when i want it. so i will be a palpatine. if you have a problem with that jedi, show me your rage.brouhaha!

i'm going to get this game, looks fun, you know...fun? people complain about graphics all the time but how is that to affect you enjoying a game with great gameplay and story, in my opinion the graphics are good. Try playing an MMO with good graphics, lets see if you can get past the log in screen :/

And that's damn good enough for me.
Gameplay + Story > Graphics.
Mario was a beastly game and you played as a 2D jumping plumber.
People are spoiled by realism.
