There were 3 attempts at relief over 3 years and all of them succeeded one of which was an entire Spanish convoy captured by Lord Rodney.
The Spanish did not need support at all since disease was on their side.

You forget the Battle of the Nile...And democratic ideas did not flow from France first, nor did France behead their king first. Check Charles 1 and Magna Carta and ancient Greece.
But, we're all friends now apart from on the sporting field for that hour or so :).

Napoleon with out doubt was the greatest general in his time and he made france the most powerfull nation in the world.
But repubilican france s navy was no match for the Royal navy after the revolution because france killed or imprisoned its best admirals and leaders.
Again frances ships were beter built and far supierior to anything the english could build

There was no excuse for france losing to the Royal navy.
We beat you cos we were beter plain and simple if frances victorys meant anything then the royal navy would have been chased away and England invaded.
