Я обожаю Миг-35, Су-37, Су-34 и вообще российские боевые самолёты. Одно меня смущает: на таких шоу они летают пустыми, т.е. скорее всего с неполными баками (чтобы хватило на 10 минут представления), без подвесных топлевных баков и без вооружения. Добавь всё это и вес самолёта чуть ли не удвоится. Теперь представим боевую ситуацию: На полпути к цели Миг вынужден вступить в воздушный бой. Сможет ли он так же себя вести в бою, будучи нагружен резервным топливом и оружием?

@tadanorm i'm laughing about your answer, tell me, that's only circus, in a real combat scene, do u think to escape from an incoming missile or an enemy jet using those maneuvers at low speeds??? Is really important to have a grat acceleration, turn as fast and close as possible sustaining high g forces for long times, typhoon can do that, for mig 35 is a dream.
@alecxio Dream for you maybe. But in reality MiG-29 (just like F-15/16 and Su-27) can maintain 9G turns indefinately. For comparison MiG-29/Su-27 has better initial climb rate and instantenious turn rate at all times, and better sustained turn rate and acceleration at low altitude + slow speeds. Eurofighter is a good jet and it definately has its own advantages in some areas. But its nonsense to compare a BVR oriented fighter againist a pure dogfighing machine; at least in a dogfight.
@AndraxxusNephilem Typhoon is second in BVR only to F22, in all other areas is the best, the data performance say that, acceleration and climbing speed are at the top, the Typhoon have a climbing speed of 355 m/s.
@alecxio Actually instantenious rate of climb of Eurofighter is 255m/s according to any and all sources I've seen. By the way it can't be 355 becouse MiG-29S has 330m/s which is the current absolute world record in C class aircraft. MiG-29 also holds world records for climb 0 to 3000, 6000, 9000 and 12000m. Last one is *with 2000kg payload* and takes 2 min and 14 seconds. In comparison *clean* Eurofighter climbs to 35000 ft (10668m) in 2 min 30 seconds. You can check the records: records.fai.org
Nothing to say, good aircraft without doubt, but still back the Typhoon, i think that a Typhoon with is super avionic systems and his fantastic agility can get down MIG-35 in few moments, in BVR and in CIC too.

@TheDoctorV2point0 Remember MiG-29 is close combat fighter. Not for fight against F-22. F-22 is very good fighter but too expensive. Su-27 with similar performance is cheaper, and can build twice as many. For single missions F-22>Su-27 ( in fight on distance.. no in close combat ) but for war... russians fighters should be better. Why best tank of WW2 is T-34 ? Not German Tiger, not US Sherman... T-34 was cheap, good, fast, and Soviets can build many of them.

@mjufpn a skilled pilot in an f22 is a factor. i think i will just stick with one pilot in a mig can out do an f22 but another pilot in an f22 could out do a mig. we havent even pushed the f22 to the limit yet. until a real dogfight occurs, i would place my money on the f22. (with skilled pilots in both planes)

fact of the matter is that russian fighters are the most manuverable aircraft to date, regardless wether westerners wish to admit it or not... the first spy pics of the Su27 were no doubt a huge shock and fright to the west. Plus, russians are insane, wether on the ground or in the air...
if they had the economic power of the US, they could easily match, or even outgun them..
though, while the aircraft and, as rumored, the various sensors are impressive and possibly superior, the russians do not have the money or the experiance, as that part of their industry has been rumored to have been next to brought to a halt, in development of more advanced armaments for said aircraft... which ofcourse makes tham less favorable in aquirement competitions...
The first spy pics of the Su27 was a huge shock to the US... such a shock that we started funding a new advance tactical fighter program just after the F15 was put in service. Years later, the result was the F22. So yes, the Flanker was ahead of the game.
@MatoVuc Manoeuvrability is of little value. Improved sensors and fire control systems, BVR missiles, all-aspect missiles, off-boresight missiles etc. have all contributed to making the dogfight as rare and unlikely to occur, as the bayonet fight among the infantry.
Our officials are debating on which aircraft will replace MiG-21 after 2010, and MiG 29 SMT is sought as best option. However they haven't entered mass production, and Mikoyan may not sell them, so our goverment might buy Gripens, but I'll more like to see MiG 29 in our airforce.

The MiG's are great A/C, but I've always liked the Su-27 Flanker. And the new Su-35! Wow! Also, according to Wikipedia, a Su-35 costs $35 million US, but a Raptor is $137 million! So you can build 4 Super Flankers for the cost of 1 Raptor. And USA gets about 20% of her beloved OIL from RF, but RF gets nothing important from USA! Hmmmm ....

Great plane...but keep in mind that any plane with 3d thrust-vectoring can do that. I sure wish my country focused on it as much the Russians do. Love the MIG-35...great vid
I'm still impressed with the Raptor though. Even with limited thrust vectoring, it's been doing graceful Cobra's, high AOA loops, and really tight turns at the latest Langley demo.
That's what an advanced flight computer will get you. The Super Hornet and Raptor control their flight surfaces in ways no other fighter does, they are all indpendent. The Raptor uses the tailplanes for yaw at low speeds and will also deflect both ailerons up in high g turns for better lift. I've also seen pics when the SH has all of the control surfaces deflected in different directions.
Our F-22 is overrated, and overcharged. I will bet that the F-22 will break apart if they attempt to do something like this! it is once again showing to

As I read several comments, I really want to see "the awesome" F-22 performing what Su-37 does but as I known they only performs incomplete cobra.

@TheDoctorV2point0 Remember MiG-29 is close combat fighter. Not for fight against F-22. F-22 is very good fighter but too expensive. Su-27 with similar performance is cheaper, and can build twice as many. For single missions F-22>Su-27 ( in fight on distance.. no in close combat ) but for war... russians fighters should be better. Why best tank of WW2 is T-34 ? Not German Tiger, not US Sherman... T-34 was cheap, good, fast, and Soviets can build many of them.

@nedeljko031 for one, i did not just "look at it" nor would i care if its american. trust me, forums and magazines and a few airshows is what i am coming from, sure, su's and migs are incredible but f22 has a lot more advanced avionics then most of those, plus, stealth, range, and all those other factors show the f22 would have no problem in dogfighting, the thing is just as or more maneuverable then any mig or su. ratios are bullshit. its something you have to see yourself.

@TheDoctorV2point0 the old mig21 can out manouver the f22 all it needs a skilled pilot :D ANd I have seen the mig21 fly for real it could litteraly drift in sky the bonus was when I saw pilots dogfighting (lived near air base and the windows of the house rattled) The mig29 is way ahead of f22 and this mig here in the vid is terminator- So one sharp turn that the f22 can do is nothing impressive when it comes to dogfight- remeber the airshow is something different than real fight.

@mjufpn a skilled pilot in an f22 is a factor. i think i will just stick with one pilot in a mig can out do an f22 but another pilot in an f22 could out do a mig. we havent even pushed the f22 to the limit yet. until a real dogfight occurs, i would place my money on the f22. (with skilled pilots in both planes)

The long range is a matter of many complicated aspects and I dare not to say who wins there since both sides are keen on keeping their radars and guidence systems top secret. Both sides will claim to be the best but whos got the skills to top the enemy and win well....

fact of the matter is that russian fighters are the most manuverable aircraft to date, regardless wether westerners wish to admit it or not... the first spy pics of the Su27 were no doubt a huge shock and fright to the west. Plus, russians are insane, wether on the ground or in the air...
if they had the economic power of the US, they could easily match, or even outgun them..

The first spy pics of the Su27 was a huge shock to the US... such a shock that we started funding a new advance tactical fighter program just after the F15 was put in service. Years later, the result was the F22. So yes, the Flanker was ahead of the game.

@MatoVuc Manoeuvrability is of little value. Improved sensors and fire control systems, BVR missiles, all-aspect missiles, off-boresight missiles etc. have all contributed to making the dogfight as rare and unlikely to occur, as the bayonet fight among the infantry.

Our officials are debating on which aircraft will replace MiG-21 after 2010, and MiG 29 SMT is sought as best option. However they haven't entered mass production, and Mikoyan may not sell them, so our goverment might buy Gripens, but I'll more like to see MiG 29 in our airforce.

The MiG's are great A/C, but I've always liked the Su-27 Flanker. And the new Su-35! Wow! Also, according to Wikipedia, a Su-35 costs $35 million US, but a Raptor is $137 million! So you can build 4 Super Flankers for the cost of 1 Raptor. And USA gets about 20% of her beloved OIL from RF, but RF gets nothing important from USA! Hmmmm ....

I'm still impressed with the Raptor though. Even with limited thrust vectoring, it's been doing graceful Cobra's, high AOA loops, and really tight turns at the latest Langley demo.

That's what an advanced flight computer will get you. The Super Hornet and Raptor control their flight surfaces in ways no other fighter does, they are all indpendent. The Raptor uses the tailplanes for yaw at low speeds and will also deflect both ailerons up in high g turns for better lift. I've also seen pics when the SH has all of the control surfaces deflected in different directions.
