Publix has stated that they would be happy to pay the extra penny per pound the CIW is demanding all they have to do is have the growers put it the price of the tomatoes. Sounds like the pickers beed is with the growers and shouldnt be with Publix.

do some research on the CIW web page and see that in ten years they have busted other mexicans and some guatemalans holding a couple dozen people and are blaming the people with the most to lose and to most money they say that farmers are all assholes and treat their workers like shit but WHO ACTUALLY LIKES THEIR BOSS? if you are lucky 1 in 20 people will say they do.and they would never tell you that the big bad farmers pay for their workers housing and provide transportaion to and from work

The last Two cases of Salomellia in Tomato Shipments came from The Immokali area. That is why I grow My own vegitables or buy local. I say No Thanks to GMO and Ethyline Gassed Tomatoes. If the CIW and its supporters were true Progressives, They would Strike/Pickett The Field Owners and Bosses. not a seconed or third tear Vendor, who has nothing to do with thier wages or quality of life. Untill this happens They will not get any respect from the Mainstream Public.
