I preferred the lion voltron over the car version. I remember when they replaced the lion version abruptly with the car cartoons, that was the first feeling I had of being jipped as a kid

I miss this Voltron. I used to have both. Looking back now I think the transformation would make more sence if the damned trucks just STOPPED moving!!! Woulda saved a ton of time. I mean, he could easily be disrupted during mid sequence.

It was silly when she got involved with the team, just stay in the castle and rule your people along with those stupid mice. @DarkAsylum316 They actually did. I remember one episode dealing with the girl who piloted the fighter that covers voltron's chest being singled out, and having to overcome the trauma of that. I think the only problem was that you had 15 characters, and couldn't get to know them as well as lion voltron's cast.

This Voltron isn't bad. Lion Voltron is the iconic version. I have to admit that the action scenes were faster and weapons looked cool. Only two main problems for me - one is too many vehicles to combine. If something goes wrong with just one vehicle then they cannot combine, second is Vehicle Voltron/Dairugger only has 5 minutes of power once he is formed. That's the reason why battle s are fast. He doesn't have time to fool around. Wonder why Drules couldn't figure that out.

What I find is that when you're a kid, you tend to like Lion Voltron better because it's a simple, fairy-tale story of good vs. evil that appeals to most kids. Vehicle Voltron, however, appeals more to adults. Watching it now as a grownup, I realize that VV had layers of sophistication in its political subplots that went WAY over my head when I was a kid, but that I appreciate now.
