  • i wanna meet yuna soooooooooooooooo bad......but i know that will never happen :(

  • And people say this isn't a sport ptfff what the h*ll ever. Let them try it bet you they won't ever say it again.

  • wow

  • D'awww he's so cute and excited! <3

  • i almost broke my ankle for doing a waltz jump ahhhh! LOL

  • what happened to ladies first! :P

  • @luna730549 lol

  • @luna730549 save the best for last!

  • @supersarah454 lol niiiiceee ugh i hate my username i made it in 5th grade i wanna change it so bad D:

  • i wish i can ice skate

  • Amazing talented people! 5*****

  • I couldn't understand shit of what Plushenko was saying ._. Still, he's good, really good.

  • i love KIM YUNA, shes so good O_________O

  • I like Sasha Cohens skating, but she is so full of shit to say that it is not just about going to the Olympics.

To come back JUST for Nationals, to get to the Games, is the pinnacle of poor sportsmanship.....

  • where's mao asada in this preview.... ):

  • I don't understand why people are suddently acting like all you need is one jump to win. Evan beat hm on the technical mark. If Plushenko had landed clean jumps he would have won. Plushenko won because of sloppy landings. You can do a quad all you want but unless you land it clean it doesn't really matter.

  • i was in the crowd if u can see me

  • patrick chan i think i know him and i meet him?

  • there was alot of controversy ovre the scoring in the short program. Using the system correctly, by rights, Evgeni should have been 5 points ahead of Evan, NOT 1. What Evgeni was so angry about was that, after the short program scores, his home Federation didn't even TRY to appeal the scoring. So, the marks were allowed to stand. Evan skated a cleaner, albeit far less inspiring program than the Russian in the free. But given the proper short program score, you kind of have to wonder.

  • While I think both had amazing performances and I love Plushenko's skating more, I have to admit that he was wobbly on a lot of his landings. Yes, Evan did not have a quad and yes, they are pretty much the future of men's figure skating. All in all, I think Plushenko deserved the gold but I don't think Evan would have been far behind in terms of score. Also, keep in mind that Plushenko is 27 while Evan is only 24 and Plushenko hasn't truly skated in 4 years. Evan also gets -50 for his costume.

  • llaammesstt thing ive ever seen!! pluchenko EASILY KIKED EVAN ASS!!! how long is america gonna hate on russia?? makes me feel so emberassed for living here sometimes. gotta give credit where its due.. ONE POINT LESS THAN EVAN!?!?! really?? BULL!!! YEVGENIY TOTALLY WON. HA good luck in RUSSIA next winter olympics america.

  • @hyeeyez Russians are normaly sore losers in sports where judges are involved. A mexican boxer that was gonna fight a russian boxer once said "If I go 12 rounds with him the russian is gonna say the judges gave it to me, so I will have to knock him out" He did. Khorkina did the same thing when she lost to Carly Patterson in 2004.

  • @u229758 well i think ANYONE who has some sort of championship on he line will be a bit of a sore loser wen they lose. but wen he CLEARLY DID BETTER!! quads!! evan did triples BARELY! it was messy. i dunno i didn't like it. and that ONE POINT DIFF is too fishy for it to be legit. they did it on purpose trusstt me. having both points of views shows it to u. living in America but growing up in a mainly Russian family. im on both sides.. but its true, America will suppress Russians wen they can

  • @hyeeyez It's true that they gave Evan a one point difference over Plushenko on purpose. The purpose being that he skated better. While Plushenko may have performed a quad, Evan had superior choreography and executed his jumps cleanly. Plushenko, on the other hand, lacked good choreography and was sloppy on most of his jumps.

When it comes down it, Evan had a good night, Plushenko was off his game.

But who knows? Perhaps that'll be reversed in Sochi 2014.

  • @twoelephantsinatub haha, I doubt Evan will be there cause I doubt he'll be allowed into the country! LOL

  • @Luukashist non he'll be allowed.. he'll just LOSE! fire with fire. he woudnt com either he knows he got that by some miraccllee. he wasnt expecting it aatt alll.. its ok.. we all know plushenko was better.. wen they BOTH compete with the sam amount of difficulty then it will be a competition. this wasnt one

  • @hyeeyez If you think Evan BARELY did triples, then I don't think you were watching the correct video, he pulls triples like nothing. And just because Evgeny can do a quad in competition doesn't instantaneously shoot him to first place, because he didn't do the rest of his program very well.

  • @hyeeyez "easily kicked ass"? The only thing Evgeny really did well was the quad itself. And if you say that the US is hating Russia, then maybe you ought to rethink, who right now is hating who? The US never lashed out at Russia for this, it was Russia (particularly Vladimir Putin) with Evgeny himself who lashed out at the US first, so don't say the US is the hater here.

  • @Luukashist IM FROM THE US so im not hating im just trying to get justicee. and yea.. yevgeniy did his WHOLE PRGRAM WELL!!! he landed something everyyonnee was sure he wud eat!!! he LANDED it. thats professiionalism and talent. his llooks clean all the time. evans not soo much. i think his limbs r to long.. dont get me wrong im not completely against him. he did good too.. i just donntt think 1st place worthy.. and 2 points away.. REALLYY!?!?! u KNOW that was on purpose!

  • @hyeeyez you really think because Plushenko had a quad he deserved to win? He didn't land a single jump clean and had zero choreography. Evan beat him on the technical mark. If he had landed a clean jump he would have won. Not one bad thing came out of Evan's mouth about anything Plushenko whined and bitched like Russians do when they loose.

  • Candy was at the Games and they were amazing!

  • Kim Yu Na did beautifully

  • what ever happened to michelle kwan

  • She retired.

  • what song did bryan guvere uswe? i love that song

  • lol they were sooo rasist that they put jonny weir in last place in the olympics which i think is MAGER dumb he should have AT LEAST gotten 3rd cause the 3rd place guy fell ;]

  • 7:47 she has the look of a dare devil with a smile. 7:48 she has the look of the sweetest thing in the world. Absolutely the queen.

  • the mens figure skating this year was not up to par to olympics standards in my opinion.

the ladies were great though. especially kim yuna, of course.

  • Kim Yuna is just the bread and butter of figure skating right now .The queen. Grace, enchantment, skill, artistry, Kim is the full package bar none. To outskate her in every aspect of it? They can try but good luck against KIM. I'm an all american when it comes to the olympics. But seeing this girl I realized the Canadians, Japanese and American girls were superb but not at her level. The only one that can top Kim is herself. I wish she was an american.

  • Evan, Johnny, Yu-Na, Joannie, Rachael, and Mirai were all amazing at the Olympics. Wonderful skaters.

  • AHHH johnny weir is amazing

  • Pboyzs is the group how about some hoip hop dancing check our vidz

  • Zhenya is so cool and cute!

  • Yeah, Koreans RULE :D

  • @JWPnim

    윤아가 아니라 연아애요 ㅋㅋ

    미국에서 사시나봐요

  • Evan deserved his gold

  • i <3 johnny weir

  • yu fail yuna kim won the qold medal

  • the one japan guy look so young

  • kim yuna was the highlight of figure skating this year. actually the highlight of the whole winter olympic games this year.

  • @yurkler and J.R. Celski!!!

  • check it out. EVAN LYSACEK USED AN AVATAR to win gold.

YouTube Search "EVAN LYSACEK AVATAR" to see what I mean.

  • a robot! no soul in his performances

  • I use to like Plushenko until he became a whiny little bitch when he lost. Yeah it was close but Evan outskated him. Evan executed his program better and his footwork was astonishing. Plushenko was great but he was sloppy and his footwork was nowhere near as good. Sure doing a quad counts for quite a bit, and that's why the scoring was so close. Evan deserved to win, so Plushenko, and his fans, should stop being such obnoxious losers. Get over it.

  • thank you! i totally agree

  • y at canada y not in USA!!

  • Kim Yu-Na was really awesome!! She cried at the end because she thought all was done ;)

  • Kim Yu-na was AMAZING.

  • I love Plushenko, even if he's being a bit of a sore loser right now. Lysacek was great and (being American) I'm glad he won, but nobody skates quite like Plushenko.

  • I think I like Plushenko better than Evan, though Evan did a great performance.

  • Who was the 19 year old male who did the Marionette routine?

  • one of the french, florent something

  • Yeah but her coach is from canada or something. White guy. Globalization has squeezed the pride out of the Olympics. Benedict Arnold coaches who pray at the alter of the all mighty dollar.

  • NEWS! NEWS!

I uploaded 2010 mens short program figure skating video of SungChol Ri, but the video doesnt come out in search result.

SungChol Ri, North Korean figure skater was disqualified to go the free skate competition because he ranked 25th among all these players who lost balance while performing.

This is the most amazing unfair judging in Olympic history I have EVER SEEN!

Check it out in my video list.!!

  • i watched her performances. honestly, Kim Yuna is friggin flawless....

  • <3 <3 Yu na <3 <3

  • Kim Yuna <33333

  • Skating is my favorite Olympic show--I will see them on TV...

  • Do you know who'se winning currently?

  • Yuna Kim!

Btw, it is "who's", not "who'se".

  • Oh yeah, about that :) I made a typo I knew but then it was after I posted..

  • @bcfkclub25 Kim Yuna got the Gold

  • i love the olympics winter and summer

But here is a sport i CANT WAIT to see in the Olimpics some day

Search "Parkour Temecula" to see it for your self

  • johnny weird looks like gay

  • I agree..

  • do you mean evgeni plushenko from russia? if you do, no he's not gay he's married.

  • He has a wife, dumbass. Talk shit about Russians all you want, YOU WILL BECOME ONE.

  • Wow, he is the gayest "straight man" I have even seen. He sure flits around on that ice. Very sugary.

  • he never said he was gay just that he acts gay and really you cant deny this..... and he wasnt saying anything bad about russians either.

  • just reminds me of blades of glory. HA

  • Agreed...shut the fuck up. I get so tired of hearing him talk.

    So over Sasha Cohen too...yawn.

  • anyone catch the videoclip of Plushenkos where he discusses his life in the last 3 yrs.. didnt skate for 3 yrs.. but, there he was being filmed in his car.. going on and on and on.. about how people are jealous of him and talks about his ' enemies" all these enemies.. want to crush me and blah blah.. dude acted like he was a super hero fighting crime against his arch nemeseis.

  • Well, people who are the best at what they do usually have enemies...a lot of people are jealous and he is aware of it and not afraid to talk about it. He is real, unlike many other people who smile to your face and talk shit behind your back.

  • It is so sad that Canada's Joannie Rochette's mother just died suddenly during the Olympics in Vancouver just a couple of DAYS before she is to begin competing in Ladies Figure Skating! She will need all the strength she can get! Pray for Joannie...

  • Remember when the SSR's pretended to be countries but voted as a Soviet bloc? It's so much better now, more honest now.

  • I wish the announcers , especially Scott Hamilton would shut the hell up. I really am not interested in their opinion, nor do I want to hear about deviations from the routine. Silly me, I would like to think I am watching something artistic, not the Rockettes.

  • finally ice skating has a win by actual skating and not just jumps... WAY TO GO EVAN! <3

  • Well, the category Evan won was more of a sport and I think he should have done the quad because that's what Olympics has always been about in this category. Evan should have been in the dance category because he was more of a dancer type of skater and less of a sport type of skater.

  • Well, considering that "the champion" can't even do a four-turn jump - he is no champion! Russia is still number 1!!!

He is not a bad skater, but he can't do the impossible like Russia can! :)

  • Evan has a quad, but didn't jump it due to a stress fracture. Sorry, but Russia is losing its foothold on this sport; they lost the pairs competition altogether; never even made it to the podium. Evan skated a power, consistent program. Plushenko had an uneven performance, and made some sloppy landings throughout. That is one of the reasons he lost on technical merit. The quad just isn't , and wasn't, enough to distingish the suprior athlete during those 4+ minutes.

  • Just one more comment: I have to credit the Americans for something else: Every American World Champion has won the Olympics gold medal.

  • except for Michelle Kwan, probs one of the most famous American World Champions of all time...?

  • Good point, but I was referring to the mens' figure skating.

  • OMG....Evan is hot. No lie.

  • screw Russia, we won and that final.

  • I'm no judge, but, personally, my favorite was Takahashi, who took the bronze. After getting hurt and going through painful surgery, he bounced back and became the 1st Japanese man to get an Olympic medal in figure skating! He was a joy to watch and I hope to see more from him.

  • For everyone here who say Plushenko was better and should have won, too bad that's not the way it ended. It's over Evan Lysacek won. Cry, whine, or whatever, it will not change anything. Plushenko a perdu, quitter pleurer. Cette fois Lysacek obtenu l'or. Bravo Lysacek.

  • Here's the deal. If staking was all about just the technically elements then why bother with anything else. It would be like throwing the dog a bone to see it do new tricks. Skating more and more is becoming a contest of mathematical equations which is hurting the sport. If anything the new scoring system is more in Plushenko's favor. He really should have nothing to complain about as was still a good performance but just not good enough. I was even more impressed with Evan as is a class act!

  • Congrats to everyone who got what they deserved, no need to insult anyone Mr. Erod

  • fuck russia!

  • Evan deserves much higher score than that russian guy. The score was close. The Russian judge was trying to cheat but wasn't able to overcome other judges score. LMAO

  • I'm glad Evan won the gold. His attitude and dedication is something special, and he earned that medal with hard work! He'll only get better too, so that's nice I suppose =)

  • @Janeym, YES he deserves it, not the second place guy. Evan is so professional at everything he does.

He's very determine and take things serious.

  • Evan did awesome in his free at Vancouver..he deserved GOLD!! Plushenko's skating was uninspiring..it's like he expected to just do one quad..and then roam around the rink and get gold???? If the quad is that important....he should just go out there and do quad after quad for 4 minutes and 20 seconds....but that would bore most of us out.

  • what you said is very true, but most won't see it that way.

  • im just happy that the americans won their gold. congratulations to evan for a fantastic preformance!

  • every body wishes this wishes that, the bottom line is that Evan proven years after years in competition. He was like a fright run away train coming in like ligthing and if you didnt get on board then, then you were run over. Evans was that Good, Good As GOLD!! I think Johnny Weir got rob he should've won silver.

  • plushenko is so much better, just because on one jump he was a tiny bit wobbling, doesnt make it suckish! while lysacek didn't even take risks nor go full out in his routine. the judges seemed so biased! go plushenko for jumping over the podium like that!

  • @loveelara

Sorry, but Evan skated a better program. He planned his moves and bonus elements perfectly. I enjoyed his performance better. Jumping a quad doesn't do it all...it's the combination of total elements. Evan proved that he has the grace and skill of a champion -- both on and off the ice.

  • In Olympics - sport counts more than grace. Evan only had grace. Plushenko has both. So sorry, but Plushenko has a better OLYMPICs program than Evan!

  • Were you watching the same programs that I was watching because Evan's athleticism and grace far surpassed Plushenko's. Pluskenko did the quad and barely landed it. He barely landed all of his jumps. Evan landed all of his jumps with a grace that Plushenko doesn't have anymore. Go back and watch the programs again. I used to be a fan of Plusenko's but not anymore, he needs to grow up. Also, Evan can do a quad he just chose not to do it because of injury.

  • Plushenko never had the grace. I remember when he and Alexei Yagudin were neck to neck, and I always wondered why, since Yagudin was SPECTACULAR whereas Plushenko is sooo awkward.

  • @cheknutyi

The camera caught him looking bitchy and like he was ragging on performers before he performed. Let's face it, he isn't a likable person,

The Swiss guy had a lot of polish, and IMO is a better skater than Lysacek or PLushenko.

  • @loveelara

It wasn't just that one jump. Yeah, his quad was good, but after that he screwed up all his other jumps. Plushenko knew it wasn't enough. You could see it on his face after he finished and as he was waiting for his scores. He even said to the camera, "well, I did all I could." That wasn't the face of someone who believed he won gold.

  • You have a good eye. That is exactly what happened to Plushenko. It was quality of execution on more than just one jump. I feel sorry for him in that he does not understand, and can't see it. He is brilliant on the ice, but this just wasn't his best.

  • Plushseko EARNED his Olympic gold. Evans gold medal is fools gold worth the price of an aluminum can.

  • I think evan's program was better than plushenko's for the very reason that it WASNT BAD MUSIC

  • just look at the comments on youtube, people love Plushenko, and pushing stiff Lysacek is not goign to make any difference. Stiff Evan will never turn into amazing Evgeni...

  • Pluschenko should have won,I love Evan,Johnny Weir and Evengi Pluschenko but I think The Olympics are being mean and cheating off russia

  • Pluschenkos landings were not as strong as Lysacek's. Even if Pluschenko tried a Quad, he still struggled with many landings. Mostly all Lysacek's landings were strong. And I'm not being Biased...I'm just saying that realistically in the long program pluschenkos landings were not stronger than lysacek's.

  • USA stole Plushenko's GOLD! It's shame. He is the true champion!

  • Lysecek's program was awesome..........i can't believe that Plushseko got the same component score as lysecek..........Plush. had a very weak element program...........GO EVAN

  • what makes you think Evan did only ONE triple???????

  • Lysacek is the lamest gold winner ever. His program was weak, slow and boring. PLUSHENKO should have won as he's the best in the business.

  • isnt ivan russian?

  • America is AWESOME

  • EVAN LYSACEK WON THE GOLD!

  • @GoogleVideoMan , but he was lame. Plushenko is the REAL WINNER!

  • @muning78, dude, calm the f@#$ down, FYI, I am GAY. My comment wasn't meant to be offensive. And they are gay.

  • I think all 3 Americans are GAY. Weir is openly gay and doesn't hide that fact. Lysacek and Abbot are in closets.

  • @cashisking98 so what if they're gay!!! shit ur ignorant... it doesnt matter if ur str8 or gay as long as u bring pristege to ur country...

  • i think you're gay. who cares. not all ice skaters have to be gay.

  • and if they are in the closet, who the hell are you to out them? It's none of your or our business, asshole!

  • I wish they would say the songs the athletes use. that would be nice! i rather hear that then that awful sandra bezics rude comments.

  • Congrats Evan, even though I was rooting for Plushenko. =]

  • Congratulations on Gold Evan!!!! Wooooot :)

  • for every event thier is like 4 or 5 athletes for the US when russian has only maybe one

  • @eduk911 , US has double population compared to Russia and only 1/2 of it's territory.

  • Well, a lot of Russia is a tad hard to live in, so can you really blame 'em? :D

  • hockey and the russian skater this olympics they did not have enough people usa has like 50 people while russia has 20

  • This may be off subject but does anyone know the name of the jay geils song that was used by one of the men in the short skate 2 nights ago? Or can you tell me the name of the skater? Thanks very much.

  • PS--it was a lead harmonica rock song---thanks

  • I'm referring to the Men's figure skating short program--sorry.

  • sorry but its true think about hockey gymnastics and skating and everything but i am not saying that usa sucks i am saying that russians r better and its not boring over there like here

  • boggy what are you talking about russia is not better.... usa is in 1st right now for medal count !!!

  • EVAN LYSACEK DESERVES THE GOLD MEDAL!!! he is the finest skater in the Olympics this year -- technically superb, graceful, dances in time to the music (this is important!!!), dresses beautifully (PERFECT OUTFIT IN GOOD TASTE) -- THIS IS IMPORTANT TOO and is a true champion :-) go Evan go!!!!!

  • russia the best

  • BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH.....yeahh...

    ookaayy... U.S. kicks assss

  • Plushenko doesn't to be in 1st place in short program. Skating is about art and artistic but he lacks both.He knows only how to jump.Jumping is not enough. He has no facial expressions & looks very arrogant and stiff while skating. He scares the judges even before he comes to perform. Lycasek or Japanese skater deserve to be in no.1.Judges open your eyes.Skating must be pleasing for the viewers who can perform art not just jump.Don't be fool by his game. His skating is not pleasing to watch.

  • Umm... And what exactly is your claim to expertise here? Are you a former champ yourself? Perhaps a figure skating coach? A choreographer?

If not, I'd suggest you take your blabber down a notch and stop making it sound like you've got it all figured out! Those are your OPINIONS, they are subjective and could easily be wrong. Maybe it's just me, but I kind of trust the judges' opinion more than yours. :-)

  • I hate this american manner to show the best american skaters' shows and compare them with unlucky jumps and other elements of european and russian skaters! The fact that Olympics take place in Canda doesnt mean that american/canadian skaters should win!

Why didnt they mention Lambiel, Kostner, Lepisto here? I think they're much more stronget than Chan, Rochette and the Co.

  • Well seeing that "Universal Sports" is owned by NBC an "American network" and GE an American company, why would they highlight the great elements of European's or Canadians for that matter?

  • you have to admit...the flaming faggy guy probably shouldve won. he pulled off the artistic side far better than the russian favorite guy...and his technical side was top-notch. shame he probably lost due to politics and anti-faggy pressures within the judges

  • Johnny Weir? I don't understand how his score was so low. I couldn't find a single flaw in his performance. He should've been in the top 4, easy.

  • Plushenko is arrogant

  • Comment removed

  • The results are in as follows... 1. Yevgeny Plushenko, 2. Evan Lysacek. Short program. I forgot who came in 3rd. However I feel bad for the fans of Johnny Weir. A hearty congratulations to both Yevgeny Plushenko AND Evan Lysacek.

  • Taka came in third, although his score was to high in my opinion. lol and Plushy I HOPE wins gold again, even was amazing! soo many good skaters.

  • I wish I was good at figure skating! XD

  • Kim Yuna<3

  • Jonny Weir is gay. Sorry but the first guy was better.

  • what is your point?

  • jonny is gay?

  • apparently yes. i don't find it hard to believe ^^;; but not that it matters :)

  • @alinahunnie

Yes, Weir is gay. Why does that matter?

You could have just said, "the first guy was better," but no, you had to put in that additional sentence as if to help your argument.
