I actually have videos on my channel of my no-death run of the US NES version. I should probably re-extract the file from the DVD and re-upload it as one file since I don't have the 10 minute limit anymore
I'm an American and I have known about Dizzy for a long time mate. Dizzy in the US wasn't popular like Sonic or Mario but Americans knew who Dizzy was if they were hardcore gamers. :)
I played all of the Dizzy games on my 48k ZX Spectrum in early 90s. They were very addicting and fun. I think it appeared on Basic ZX Spectrum computers not "8-bit" computers, though they must be the same thing. There is also one Dizzy game that came for NES in a fat cartridge. It was called Dizzy Adventure or something. Horoshie u tebya video
@StopFear Yes, ZX Spectrum, C64 & Amstrad (all of the most popular Dizzy platforms) are all 8-bit home computers. Dizzy the Adventurer came to NES on "Quattro Adventure" cartridge as well as stand alone in an "Aladdin" cartridge. Spasibo! :)
That crossbow challenge raped me every time I tried it. Spend a few hours to get there then get raped in 3 minutes... and I kept doing that... a while.
@Ryuuzaki3010 I don't think it's that hard. The mine cart ride is the biggest challenge for me. It's a shame that down the rapids got omitted from 16 bit versions since I actually like it quite a bit.
I had magicland dizzy on an old PC. That was weird but in a good way, i was young and found it really diffecult but also in a good way, kind of stimulating. the whole games basically one big puzzle.
I remember playing a Dizzy game once. Seeing the boxing gloves, I expected him to be a decent hero like Cosmo or Commander Keen, but since he got splat by everything in an instant, I was kind of disappointed. I never actually got back to it and I think I went with Monster Bash instead. Too bad I didn't get my hands on this Dizzy game back then...

I'm under 20, and English, and I grew up with this. -3-
xD I love this game. Never finished this, though. I was probably too young to play it properly.

Treasure island Dizzy is my fave, even if it is just for the epic soundtrack (esp -Amiga rendition).

The archery might be hard if you don't know the button that lets you duck the incoming projectiles.

I loved this game series!!
I remember the one when you start in a castle and this one had a bit different graphics was cool.
But Fantastic Dizzy doesn't start from a Stonehenge-like place??
EliaForce1984ita 2 years ago
Magicland Dizzy is the one with the Stonehenge.
Fantasy World Dizzy is the one with the castle.
