  • I always get excited with this song, it's incredibly catchy, an noone can sing it like Deborah Harry.

  • Yes, kids. At one time you actually had to really, truly, HONESTLY sing!!! And, yes, your band had to know how to actually PLAY an instrument.

  • I'm seventeen years old, been listening to Punk since the age of two, and because of people like Debbie Harry, Siouxsie Sioux, Joe Strummer, Robert Smith...the list goes on...I wish I lived thirty years ago. Modern music is shit and I would love to have grown up when these acts were rising. Good thing is Debbie is still amazing. ^.^ It's people like Debbie should be on the front of magazines! xD

  • debbie harry is like the hottest girl ever. Great band, great vocalist. what's not to love?

  • there's no way that guy dancing on stage pulled that girl with them dance-moves!!! lol

  • Blondie smokes here, yes?

  • @idontlikedumbpeople I'm a guy who likes women singers better. They have beautiful, sexy voices and plus women are nice to look at. And I just like way women sound. If I ever started a band, I'd only hire a female vocalist.

  • Brilliant!

  • Gmhmmomehgjw

  • Besides everything else I love about this band the one thing I loved the most (just under the Deb) is the lyrics. I think the only other writer who come close is Jim Steinman with Meatloaf.

  • @craigathonian As it happens this is a cover of the original by a band called The Nerves.

  • In the LadyGaga video, "Just Dance" you see "The Best of Blondie" album in the background for a second. Another occult mystery. LadyGaga also makes a video for her song 'telephone' where she alludes to her 'telephone' being her gift of telepathy.

  • @SimonCowellAI - What? Lady Who?

  • So, so, sooooooooo fucking hot.

  • She's just the hottest here. Rivals the Beatles, imho.

  • i am part of the younger crowd im 12! i love this stuff! it is beast not all young ppl listen dat crap!! but to tell you the truth very few of my friends listen to real music and they r boys..

  • @banshierocks Well, a lot of young people like you on YouTube do listen to this kind of stuff. I read it all the time.

  • this is my favorite song in the world!!!!! it never gets old!

  • l would love to start a band like BVlondie. Problem is, when you don't play an instrument and you're the frontwoman it helps if you're stunning, but in my case...

    Not a vision

  • "Eat To The Beat" was Blondie's best album.

  • @nevetsffen My fav is Shayla!!!!

  • This is my shit right here!!!....Fuck Yeah!!!.

  • Funny to see people in disco gear making disco moves to a new wave rock song. America was so behind in 1979 and Debbie Harry was probably thinking in her head what the fuck are these polyester shirts and bell bottoms doing in my set!

  • i think people need to learn to sing i mean i like britney but, she needs to go live more often gaga too!

  • beautiful song

  • let'sall go back in time....

  • This is a really good video

It brings back lots of great (more youthful, somewhat boozy) memories

from a great era for music

    Thanx

  • LMAO @ the dancers. God I love it.

  • Asi mero es al fiesta que quiero para mi proximo cumpleaños

  • avisá y llevo amigos!! ;)

  • God i love Debbie!

  • the L7 s version is the shit

appear in the jerky boy s movie soundtrack

  • Agism did exist in the 70's and 80's and on some level the press did try to make a big deal about debbie's age but the issue was never that big because she looked young and hot for her age. It's just a lot worse now but it did exist back then too.

  • There will never be a greater frontperson, male or female, for a rock group, than Deborah Harry.

  • lol ok m8...

  • You're so right. The perfect person at the perfect time and place. I will never get tired of looking at her. :-)

  • @blueshifted77 yeah jim morrison can hide himself :P hendrixx was nothing as well

  • @blueshifted77 before i would have said you have got to be kidding!!what planet are you from dude. I know pretty much every Major Rock band from the Last 30-35 years. I never rated Blondie as a serious ROCK ACTback in the day. Now after watching all of their stuff on YT for 6 weeks solid everyday i have to say in my opinion blueshifted 77 you are dead-set 100% correct. Totally ashamed of myself that i didnt give them the kudo's they deserved. Couldnt agree with you more now Blue77 Cheers mate!

  • @blueshifted77 I'll give you female...Debbie Harry is just so naturally cooler than everyone, maybe a duet with her and freddie mercury (RIP) and i could die happy...(see Queen at live aid to see what i mean about Freddie)

  • @blueshifted77 Debbie Harry for sure on the female front, I'd vote for Freddie Mercury(RIP) though (see queen at live aid to see what i mean), hopefully theyll have a duet in the next world...

  • @blueshifted77

okay, at least the debbie harry of the 70's and early 80's..

  • @blueshifted77 Damn Fucking Straight!!!!! The Queen of Rock and the Greatest (Coolest, andHottest) Woman in Music History, Deborah Harry!!!!! Even at 65, She looks better than any other woman!!! This is My Favorite Song from My Favorite Band! LOVE DEBORAH HARRY AND BLONDIE!!!!!!!!!!!

  • who would say that she was then 34??

  • 34 is still young, prime age so why would she look old in that video anyway!

  • sexy lady

  • Great version of a punk classic ( even though not a Blondie original ).

  • who did it originally?

  • The Nerves in 1976, their only release.

  • The Nerves version is good -- but face it: this is a song sung from the perspective of a stalker. It's just better sung by a woman as smokin' hot as Deborah Harry rather than one of the guys in the Nerves.

  • she was AMAZING sober!

  • Wow! this puts all the new crap to shame. The younger crowd needs to listen to this and learn a valuable lesson about the 80's. (er '79)

  • @XPHALCON Learn a valuable lesson about music in general.

  • @XPHALCON l'm 12 and l'm OBSESSED with Blondie. lf that interests you. l honestly think music from the past decades are better than Lady Gaga, Katy Perry and all the others even though l like modern stuff too.

  • @XPHALCON

I am young (15) and I love it, the 80's were mental...

  • Amazing performance... and so is the Sunday Girl on the same broadcast.

    And THAT DRESS!

  • Awesome !! Sounds amazing live.

  • Wow, GREAT PERFORMANCE!
