i say fuck all those wankers that like to badmouth MJ. they are narrow minded shallow people with out no empathy whatsoever. They can't take this away from Mike. he was an unreal entertainer, he delivered the whole package. brought people together, broke barriers, made people think. his music is in a class of its own. dancing is mesmerizing and hypnotic. you can't believe he spoke and acted like a kid of stage. on it, he's a mental man. Mike, you are the greatest, and a childhood hero.
There is no excuse for me to have missed MJ on the Bad Tour. I was a fan, old enough, (19) I had already seen Madonna in '87, and Def Leppard twice in '88, so it isn't like I wasn't independent enough, and I drove. I guess I always thought there would be another chance. It for me was the best looking and sounding tour, with all of the vocals live and utterly amazing. I love him now more than ever.
Oh my goodness I didn't know he came to Denver!! It always seems like we're not even on the map, no one pays attention to Colorado but he performed here TWICE?! Ahhh ok freaking out here
@crazy4corbinbleux The Jacksons did two shows at Mile High Stadium on the Victory Tour in September 1984 and then Michael did 3 shows at McNichols Arena in March 1988 :)
I would not be able to imagine how much excitement there would be to hear that Michael Jackson was coming to town on his tour. I still don't understand why I was born in the mid 90s, I'm an 80s person at heart I love guns n roses and mj they were at their prime in the 80s :(
its cute that you tells about that you was there getting the tickets and stuff. i wish i could meet him, before all there bad rumors was going to crazy, and before he changed to mutch. he most have been so cool for you. was he looking good.
:O OMG WHERE WAS I 28 (I THINK) YEARS AGO!!!!???? OMG i was born inthe 90s and let me just TELL YOU, I.AM.TOTALLY.IN.LOOOVEEE.WITH.THE.80S!!! AND MJ HE IS THE KIUNG OF MUSIC AND OMG U DO NOT KNOW HOW BAD I WOULD HAVE WANTED TO GROW UP WITH HIS MUSIC AND GO 2 HIS CONCERTS AND EXPERIENCE THE BEAUTIFUL AMAZING 80S!! AHHHHHHHHHH I JUST <3 THEM SOOO MUCH!!!! :3 :D <3 thumbs up if u agree!! <3
@kbluem15 He was also there in 1984 for the Victory Tour :) September 7 and 8 and Mile High Stadium. I wanted to go soooooooooooooo bad, but my parents whined about the cost, so I was stuck at home crying both nights, listening to The Jacksons Live album on my walkman and longingly staring off in the direction of Denver. Around that time the Jacksons took a bit of a break and spent some time at a CO ranch (not sure exactly where, would have to look it up).
@begodsglow Wow! I really want to know where they stayed!! And then go live there! haha...thank you for all the information :) LOL...longingly staring off in the direction of Denver...how old were you?
ahhhh i get so mad.!!!!!!! im only 13 years old and i LOVE mj hes all over my room and hes even on my family wall, but it kills me to kno that im never gonna meet the man that love or at least see him, and theres so many lucky people out there that got to see him like 15 times and all i ever saw was pics and videos!!! i know theres other people like me out there and i know you feel the same way.
@yoheily26 I can understand that more than you may believe. I only saw him ONCE and that was over 22 years ago. I know once is better than never, but I also think about all the folks who saw him so many times when I've loved him since I was 12, back in Thriller times. Later I was in the US and didn't have money to travel overseas for Dangerous or HIStory, so never saw him again. We had 7th row tickets to TII in London :*(
@yoheily26 Yeah the pain of being born at this present time, i wish i was my age now (20) in 1975 grooving with Mj it would have been the shit, and to just see him perform would have been an unforgettable evening for the rest of my life, rest in peace buddy. ohyeah an Who's BAD?
@yoheily26 i was 13 when he came to manila and as much as i want to
there's no way i could watch it but i remember the night he arrived... there's nothing like it... that kind of excitement has not been duplicated by any artist yet
@yoheily26 OMGGGGGGGGGGGGG I FEEL THE EXAAAAACTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT SAME!! i just LOVE him and the 80s and im soooooooo sad that i would NEVER in my life be able to see him in the bad era and i wanted to experience the 80s and watch the world premires of his thriller music video and so on in the 80s!!!!! AHHH FINALLY somebody who feels the same!!! :D :3
aw, u guys r lucky.. im 15 now.. wat music do i have to have good memories with? None! MJ is the best, and i never saw him "in action" like for realz..
omg ur so lucky to have seen him on one of his concertssssss uhhhhhhh wat was it like ive never been in his concerts but i wish i could have..... was realllly reallly amazing?????
how was he??? was he sexy, cute, hot ,handsome, is good live on stage is he very very goodd??????????
My parents went to the Bad Tour in Holland. They were about 20. I'm 15 now and I'm so insanely jealous that my parents saw him live. They've bin to alot of concerts but they say that Michael Jackson live was the best concert they've ever seen and I believe it.

I understand you. I was so excited about This Is It in London too! But destiny denied us all.
I was fortunate enough to have seen all his tours from Bad, Dangerous and HIStory. I was in the front row of all his shows actually, and I still have that exact Bad Tour t-shirt you see in the video! And I still have the reviews of the Bad concerts from the biggest swedish newspapers. One paper actually wrote KING MICHAEL! on the frontpage. I miss him so...
I must say the Bad Tour 1988 was the best Michael Jackson tour ever. Why? I think because it was the first concert I ever went to. And also because it was Michaels first World Tour as a solo artist. Times were different then, Michael really was the biggest star in the universe. Everyone was looking at him and copying him. On later tours the magic simply wasn't as strong, Michael didn't do too well in the 90's, at least not as a live performer. But he truly ruled the 80's.
@dirratt I also saw him on Dangerous Tour and HIStory Tour. For me Dangerous was the best one...but hey it doesn't mean that HIStory was not good. It was spectacular...just felt slightly as a repeat of Dangerous. Never saw Bad Tour but believe it was his best!
I wish I could have seen a show in this tour! I do understand how you remember ages so well. When I was 10, I drooled over 13 year old Michael at the state fair in 1971. That is a sweet, innocent memory. I can't say he would have elicited the same reaction from me during this tour. There would have been nothing innocent about it. I didn't think it was possible, but he grew up to be even finer!!!

Great job with your video. I was 26 and was living in Fort Collins, Colorado at the time , but I was not a Michael then. How i wish I was and had seen him live! You are so lucky.
lol, well... There were two main seating sections directly in front of the stage. I had 9th row in one of the sections BEHIND those, so it something like about 50th row maybe? It was hard seeing over everyone. I just remember feeling like I was still so far away (never close enough to MJ!), but certainly closer than the poor folks in the balcony at the back. God that was a great day. A great, great day. If I could relive one 2-hour period of my life... this would be it.

Why does it matter?
It matters because the attacks on Michael's name continue.
It matters because the extortions of 1993 and 2005 shattered him completely.
It matters because the catastrophic agony Michael went through - placed him in a head on collision with someone like Doctor Murray.
It matters because the media tore this man to pieces for over 15 years.
It matters because three children are now living without their father.
It matters because Michael matters.
