Nice video. One comment about your pronunciation of Lumphini Park. You said the "ph" like an "f." I'm not picking. Most Westerners make this mistake so I wanted to teach others that watch your video that when you see "ph" for Thai names it is pronounced with a "p" followed by an exasperated "h" sound. This is the same for "th" like in Thailand. Say Tailand without the exasperated "h" then say Thailand with it. You can notice the difference.

Bangkok looks very welldeveloped. It is more modern than any European cities I've visit. Europeans are proud of their many trees, but they don't have the money to have both skyscrapers and trees like Bangkok. I stay in Bangkok for a week next month. After that I'm going to Chiang Mai.

Lumphini Park is great - a nice spot to get away from the city without leaving it. It's pronounced like Lum-PEE-nee, not Lum-FEE-nee. PH in That transliteration does not make an F sound, but a string P :)

You'd be crazy to try and cross those busy roads, regardless of how fast the traffic is going. Didn't you see that motorcycle whizzing by as you were talking ? There are tons of motorcycles weaving thru traffic and they don't care if you're walking in front of them. That is why they built the walkways overhead. They do love western food - they just can't afford it. That's why they eat at the stalls - it's about 30-40 baht ($1-$1.50) for a meal.

The only western food they like is Italian food. Thai, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese food are much more famous than western foods. Esp, Thai girls really concern about their body. Cuz other Western foods are not considered as edible and healthy food for them. Bangkokians are generally wealthy though, they can afford those luxurious restaurant for sure. Perhaps the only Thais you met are the ones in bars and pubs who want to rip foreigners off so badly.

You forgot to mention the subway system which is one of the best in the world. Also, Thais love KFC and if they can afford it Starbucks and anything else western. The "monotrain" as you call it is called the Skytrain.
