Yes! The Gai Lan is awesome, and not listed on the menu anywhere, you have to ask for it, but it's totally worth it. They usually do it with Oyster Sauce, but I prefer mine with garlic. This place is great - seriously. If you're in The Bay Area / San Francisco you should definitely check them out. Enjoy!!

Also, that sauce he dipped the imperial roll in is not JUST fish sauce. It's actually a traditional vietnamese sauce with white vinegar, garlic chili sauce, sugar and a small amount of fish sauce with a little bit of carrot and daikon floatingon top.
If you dipped that roll in a bowl a fish sauce it would probably be indedible to most people. I'm surprised a self proclaimed "food dude" would know that.

This "food dude" seems pretty disrespectful. Calling the place a dive seems unfair...The place looks very clean and organized. The staff seems courteous and acomodating.

Also, that sauce he dipped the imperial roll in is not JUST fish sauce. It's actually a traditional vietnamese sauce with white vinegar, garlic chili sauce, sugar and a small amount of fish sauce with a little bit of carrot and daikon floatingon top.
If you dipped that roll in a bowl a fish sauce it would probably be indedible to most people. I'm surprised a self proclaimed "food dude" would know that.

i'm in Vietnam so i don't know if Them Ky has Hue noodles(Bun Bo Hue) because it's like pho, but more delicous. It might be a bit spicy

acutally i don't think it's traditional to take the noodle, broth, veggies and all that and put it on the soup spoon like that.. it takes too long. vietnmaese people take a bite of their noodle, grab a piece of meat and mint and then dip it and eat it, then slurp some broth from the spoon. :)
