@Ithellama Dwarves don't get rams because Humans and Dwarf paladins are both part of the Knights of the Silver Hand, so they will have the same mount. Draenei, Blood Elf and Tauren paladins each have their own organization, so they'll each have their own mounts.

Personally i think that they should upgrade the human and dwarves mounts , as now these races will have the "new and cool" stuff .they should make a holy ram or whatever for the dwarves and give the paladin one like idno something more cool , and make the blood elves have their own shit hawkstriders

And because of all these changes they started to consider if there was another way, another path for them to walk to better their people. Also they considered they've been ignoring the other eye of the earth mother, the sun. And so Tauren Pali's and Priests were born. It's all very new.

@M4xima Dude the WoW "Lore" days are over. There is no "Well Taurens never talked about the light before" because Cataclysm is technically a new story. Not another chapter, like the Lich King, but a new story, new enemy, same players. They're not fighting Old Gods, or some douche with a crown that looks like Suaron, but a pissed off Aspect / Giant even more pissed off Dragon. The world is split, elements are annoyed as hell, and the survivers need to take up new skills to survive. Deal with it.

@Veiados They are continuing the lore. They did not finish it when warcraft 3 was over. Tauren paladins make perfect sense. Taurens believe in the earth mother and that she has 2 children, mu'sha, the moon god, and an'she, the sun god. Since tauren society consisted of druids they focused on mu'sha only. Since tauren believe in balance they realised that they had forgotten an'she and so formed the sunwalkers to worship him. They had to use paladin mechanics for gameplay sakes.

They are in fact her EYES, that she ripped out when she was so extremely saddened by the horror befalling her children, i.e: When the Tauren and the other good races were corrupted by the Old Gods into killing and stealing and being generally evil and corrupt and warring against eachother.
