  • Kill the 3000 pg Illegal HC TAX & JAIL TrojanHorse Mandate Bill nobody wants..

    Kill the bill..

    Vote em out..

    nobody wants it..

  • A lot of comments here say 'oh please, the government would never do that!'. But it was Obama himself who said that for some old people, rather than treat them, he'd just give them pain pills and send them home to die. Straight from the horse's mouth, people - there will be death panels, and an Obama 'death czar'. (though they'll call him a health czar)

  • Oh please elaborate!

  • Its pointless to prove a negative. Why don't you show me in the bill where it says any of this?

  • The State Childrens Health Insurance Program enables states to provide health insurance to children from working families with incomes too high to qualify for Medicaid, but too low to afford private health insurance. The program provides coverage for prescription drugs, vision, hearing and mental health services and is available in all 50 states and the District of Columbia. Your state Medicaid agency can provide more information about this program

  • I am so glad this only has 8,500 views. It is sick and disgusting.

I am sure a private company with interest to its share holders would give cancer treatment or dialysis to people who cant afford it.

And of course in Australia and in every other democratic society with public health care we kill off all our oldies! Give me a brake. This is so stupid its insulting.

  • so you would trust a government that would give you no recourse after they deny your claim. Can't sue them as they are protected by law. Government has caused the lack of competition in the health care insurance and allowed them to restrict care, so why would they magically allow you to get the care you need? They have not even touched the real problems causing the costs to skyrocket!

  • these are ignorant and mis-informed stupidity

  • Please tell us the part that is misinformed or untrue- or is it just easier to call someone stupid!?

Liberals can't debate intelligently- they regularly resort to insulting their opponent (ironically, they frequently insult their intelligence) and frequently resort to name calling.

  • i will glad to debate without insults this issue.

you ask what part of the video was untrue, well let me point some, the public option would be a new way to get insurance, not the only one, if you got insurance already then you got nothing to gain or loos, but there is 47 million tax payers, whom do not enjoy insurance, for them a trip to the hospital may be the same that bankruptcy very easily, in the words of our president: no one should die because lack of insurance or be bankrupt for it.

  • Easy, well for one thing, it is not up to the politicians that decide whether a patient is in need of a bypass. The plan straight up gives anyone who needs it one. Also, I'll tell you right now, 100% of people with cancer are automatically rejected health insurance. Only if you're Magic Johnson or some other rich individual will you only hope to survive with HIV for 10-20 YEARS when the average person would get the symptoms in 6 months before they run out of the drug money to treat thedisease

  • OH NOES DEATH PANELS

  • You are not getting politicized health care, only a deeply politicized health care debate. These videos are drivel. Heavy on fear light on fact. HMOs rationalize health care CONSTANTLY.

This "times are tough" argument is ridiculous. He somehow find time to drop bomb on children in Iraq and Afghanistan, but can't afford to treat our own? The cost of the government bailout to PRIVATE banks was $7,800 billion, or $3000 billion for the Iraq war but we could fix healthcare for a fraction of that.

  • Oh, LOL! What a stone idiot you are.

  • Comment removed

  • Ok, I understand everything. I just don't understand why every government employee and their family members have government provided health insurance. By keeping it all to themselves, do they try to save all of us from this horrible horrible care, or what?

  • Because we poison people from cradle to grave. Remember, this is sickcare. They WANT YOU TO BE SICK. Healthy people, like me, do not use their services. If I got cancer, the last person I'd go see would be a doctor.

Stop thinking that govt is the answer to our problems, it's the damn CAUSE.

  • Wake up, people. Health care in this country is big business and insurance companies and pharmacuetical companies don't want to take their hands out of our pockets. My insurance company dictates everything about my health care and denies care all the time, while posting record profits. This is another big business campaign to keep Americans in the dark. We are the ONLY industialized nation in the world without national health care. If private insurance is so good, why are they afraid of it?

  • Then WHY is Big Pharma spending 12.5 million per day pushing for this bill to be PASSED? Might want to do some homework instead of relying on BS emotionalism garbage coming from the left.

  • As someone who's employer went bankrupt 18 months ago, having to supply my own health care while on unemployment, I know what I'm talking about. My wife takes Lipitor, among 16 other med. It was supposed to go generic last March. The pharmacuetical company went to court and blocke it until 2010. They hadn't made billions enough from it. They lost in international court and now it is generic everywhere but here. Healt care is not about care here, it is about profits and big business.

  • YES, but your mistake is thinking that government is on the side of the people...

  • A Democratic President, with a Democratic Congress is not passing effective reform, so I agree with you 100%. Big business health insurance companies and pharmacuetical companies are in all the pockets of the politicians in Washington, Republican, Democrat or otherwise. This does not erase the fact we need good national health care here just like every other industrialized nation in the world. We are paying more for health care here and getting less for our dollars than most other countries.

  • We are getting what we pay for. We have the most advanced sickcare in the world. You should not call it healthcare. It has nothing to do with health. If this bill was about health, then why is utterly devoid of support for any preemptive measures. Where are the tax rebates for buying sports and gymn equipment or membership? Where is the removal of taxes on fresh fruits and veggies? The govt DOES NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR HEALTH. Google The Obama Deception and watch it! It matters NOT who's in control.

  • Effective national healt care (or sickcare) should support premptive practices and we agree on that. (I don't know where you live, but we don't pay tax on any food, such as fruits and veggies in NY State). If our care is so great, why is our infant mortality rate about equal to Latvia? The people must push the government to institute real reform, not throw up their hands and say it's not what we need and abandon it. Mediocre health care is better than none at all when you can't afford it.

  • A public option would create a 2-tiered system. The public option would be full of lines and delays. To get care fast, you'd need a private option. It's conceivable that the private option would be very expensive, as it is in Canada, and since we'd increase taxes to pay for the public option (and / or businesses would also raise prices to pay for the extra taxes), it's not far fetched to believe only the super-wealthy would be able to afford decent health care.

  • The lines and delays already happen with the private-health-insurance-only system. The AMA has it set so there are limited numbers of doctors in locales across the land.

Why do they do this? It makes people have to wait a week or 2 or 3 to get in. And it's a numbers game. The insurance companies and the AMA know that a certain percentage of those people will have been healed by their own immune systems by the time their appointment arrives. So they cancel, and the company saves money. YAY!

  • You want the military to protect you from terrorists.

You want the police to protect you from burglars.

You want the fire department to protect you from fire.

You want the FDA to protect you from being injured or poisoned from stuff...? Wait, do you? Some of you don't I guess.

But you don't want a government health insurance plan to protect anyone who so elects to use it to protect that person from CANCER? Are you out of your fucking minds?

  • Oh, steve, I lived in Argentina for two years. I knew a few people who died (one of them from cancer) because they waited so long to get the treatment they needed. So, no, I don't want the government to assume the role of protector of health. (and, by the way, I don't have government insurance for my house, car, etc.).

  • timcharper1

You're right, your one anecdote proves we could never do anything better than Argentina. 1/3 of Argentines have no health coverage. They're not doing what is being proposed. So you have constructed a straw man to knock down and feel like you're tough & smart.

Insurance for your car and house is a much different animal than health insurance. You would never have to shell out millions of $ for something that happened 2 your house or car, but you may have to do that 2 fight cancer.

  • "DEATH PANELS!"

    LIES. PURE LIES.

Fucking idiotic, conservative, greedy fearmongers scared of losing their undeservedly HUGE salaries and profits... and for doing WHAT? The insurance companies are just middlemen taking YOUR FUCKING MONEY, conservative voters! Why not have our elected officials run a public insurance program at 3% overhead instead of insurance co. middlemen scooping up 30 to 40% in overhead which goes not to doctors but to CEOs, ad companies, stockholders, et cetera?

  • pissysteve,

It's not that I'm worried about corporate greed losing their big dollars. I don't believe this is the best solution. Our system has worked fantastically for many many years. If we do tort-reform, and stop over-insuring ourselves (which will happen naturally by market response if things keep going the way they are), then costs will go down.

I believe most people against government run health care share my opinion.

  • who put you in charge of who should be paid what amount of money?

  • hey bender82801:

I'm not in charge of that. We The People are in charge of it.

Corporations, in the early days of this democratically elected, constitutionally limited free republic, had to deal with a mandatory death sentence imposed by the founding fathers which said that if a company was not acting in the best interest of the nation as a whole, that particular company could be forced to dissolve on the next occasion that its license expired.

  • Hahaha, she was neither beautiful nor smart, my hipster homeboy.

  • Awesome production. Keep up the good work. Please visit and support "taxpayeranthem" on youtube. Thank you.

  • Wow, this is pretty dumb. Washington ALREADY controls Grandma's healthcare - Medicare, anyone?

  • cartesian1,

You bring up a great point, but not all grandma's are on Medicare. And also, medicare is heading straight for bankruptcy (2019 is the projected date).

  • good point and that's working out beautifully no?

  • I'd like to see a video of how we control costs for those expensive drugs that autistic kids get. And CP and asthma treatments and MS drugs are costly - such a waste when we can give so many people annual physicals and immunizations with that money instead.

  • Those expensive MS drugs help pay for research for new MS drugs like a pill that is more effective than the shot or a pill that can help with those that have walking problems. Since I have MS I would rather have a cure in my lifetime than cheaper shots.

  • I will say this -- The wonderful Free Market Guy....

    ...is a HORRIBLE wingman!

    haha

    Big Daddy

I've had wingmen like this too! lol

  • Wow, pretty lame. I still don't see the difference between an insurance company and a government bureaucrat? The big difference is one is driven by profit and the other is not. I guess it comes down to ideology. So far, the business world has been showing a lot of bad choices...

  • Astu:

    1) Gov'nt has a proven record of inefficiency, poor management, tons of red tape, and major failures with public programs.

    2) Profit-driven industries have been the most successful in the history of the country---profit is the motivation to succeed. Government does not have that motivation.

We need to improve insurance and stop them from unfairly denying claims, but why do we need to start a whole new system? When we can just fix the current system that 87% or America is happy with?

  • Wow. Ill-informed, selfish AND lame! This video has something for everybody!

  • care to give evidence to that insult?

  • Wow. You get refuted, and resort to insults. Much the same as Pelosi calling protesters "unamerican." Imagine hippies telling us WE are unamerican for protesting...

Alright "toply," if you believe that this is such a good plan, convince your (D) representatives to sign up for Obamacare first. Every one of them voted that amendment down.

When you fail, go back to school and then explain to me how you can get a "Free Lunch" outta health care.

  • i see. you birthers, screamers & people do & say anything, no matter how outrageous, about the current president. however when one goes after you, we're the nuts?

sit back, take a look at what you're doing to this country olsen. i guess it'll take more guns at town meetings to force your point. it'll take a looney toon on your side to USE that gun on a congressman. since the elections didn't go you're way, guns will get you your ends!

is that right you fucking unamerican idiotic bastard?

  • Wow, so much anger. Howcome noone's calling you a "Mob?" Fact check:

    1: I am not a birther

2: you are the first that has gone "after me"

3: I am not doing anything to the country. I have no voice. Nancy and her disciples have all the power.

4: I dont own a gun, but I still understand that more gun control laws lead to more crime.

5: Thank you for making my point for me, "nancy"

6: Im an Engineering Student, I know how the world works

7: My mother was married to my father when I was born

  • there's no anger on the left just amazemenmt olsen.

the facts are plain, the anger is on your side. why are you trying to transfer YOUR anger to the left, why?

give me one example of anger from progressives. remember when you lie (as you uneducated, informed, "christian" birthers do), i'll counter easily with10 examples of the hate & anger you've displayed...and i will reference then with video on YOUTUBE. you're unable to do that with just one progressive.

    you're an unamerican wing nut!

  • Ur damn right conservatives are angry. We are tired of working our asses off, and having to give more to the government more because of it, only to see it spent on stuff we dont believe in, or stuff we dont see the necessity for. Well guess what! Atlas is shrugging!

btw: you never did answer how your free lunch plan is gonna work...

  • Hey Wntoply, here's I'd worry about if I were you:

Yesterday, your President LIED through his teeth to America. He flat out said that AARP endorses the healthcare bill--A FLAT OUT LIE! You'd think the PRESIDENT would have a BRAIN and stay away from TOTAL LIES!

And BO's Comment about UPS/FedEx and the Post Office? The WORLD is laughing at him---a BRAINLESS comment if I ever heard one.

So, um, yea...I'd worry about that, buddy, LONG before I talk about actors.

    But nice try, though.

  • And don't forget folks, the politicians know better than we do what is good for us. Ergo, they're going to ram this "reform" down our throats despite what the rabid, swastika-waving mobs (read: the majority of American citizens) want.

    Welcome to Obamerica!

  • If the government cannot effectively run the VA hospitals, how are they going to run a program for 330 million people?

  • because such a programm runs across europe and pretty much the rest of industrialized nations on this planet, for ten times that much.

  • All of europe are just a bunch of leaches from the developments of the USA. Most new medical technology and drugs is made here. When the US goes to socialized medicine be prepared for health treatments to stay right where they are at since there won't be any new developments

  • First, if Obama&Co cannot run the VA, 'success' in Europe does not mean he will be able to once he runs a nation wide version of the VA.

Second, I am yet to meet a near majority of Europeans that are happy with their socialized health care. My experiences have been the opposite.

  • My experiences have been the opposite

....that is the thing if you talk about illnesses,

and not from a memo in favour of an interest.

second a neoliberal agenda runs through europe for some years now, and governments try to "adjust" to globalisation, and thought out how to cut costs . and know guess which sector gets to look more and more like a american one.....bingo, and that`s what sucks.

  • For me this comes down to one very simple question:

What is going to happen when the need for care exceeds the money that the government has budgeted? The government is going to have to make a choice. And what is most likely is that those who don't have much more to live move to the back of the line.

If I were elderly, I would be so afraid! And if someone is against what I am saying, I have one question:

PROVE THAT THE MEDICAL NEED WILL NOT BE GREATER THAN THE BUDGET!

  • Ok, good point. But, do we really want Washington bureaucrats rationing end of life decisions like this if they cannot even handle Katrina for 2 weeks?

Actually, I put the onus on you to prove that the medical need is greater than our ability to pay the bill, before we start pulling of life support and denying treatment. Besides, raise my taxes if you have to, but don't turn people away. There are plenty of ways we can slash costs other than this.

  • There is usually a shortage of anything that is free if it has any value. I plan to clog the system if they pass this bill to make sure I get more out than I pay in. I don't want to be the sucker that works to keep others alive. I would rather be the scammer.

  • Hmm... I fear the American experiment will fail if we all had that attitude.

However, is this not how we run any insurance program... we all pay in so that when one of us hits tragedy, we can survive?

  • Well insurance is set up that people can't do what I suggested thanks to deductibles and the ability to deny claims.

If I did it with my insurance I could easily get screwed since I go get the service and then afterward the insurance company approves or denies my claim. I could get stuck with the bill. That wouldn't happen with what they make this public option to be.

I alsot think health insurance is dumb compared to other insurance. My auto insurance doesn't pay for oil changes.

  • Prove it to yourself!!

You live in a democracy don't you!?

Americans get the standards that demand - this includes public health care budgets.

In other democratic societies like Australia, UK, Canada and most of Europe etc the budget covers ALL PEOPLE because this is the standard the public has come to expect and demand. That includes the treatment of so called 'old' people mentioned in this add. Stop selling your selves short!
