Motley is good at the type of stuff they write. I've alwasys liked it, even if the songs they write are a little less complex than your average rock band! But, that is sometimes a good thing! I don't think they need to make shit up or exaggerate their rock star stories to sell books. I would have preferred they told the truth, then stories about apartments being posessed by the devil and sex stories that seem made up ?
I don't need to be a rock star to detect bullshit when I read it! It's one thing to exaggerate sex stories or to tell the world that you nailed someones ear to a table at a party. But the bit about practicing black magic or getting into Satanism, only to get spooked by objects moving in thin air in your apartment? Well, that just makes it all the more difficult to believe the other stuff? I thought the Dirt was an autobiography, not a science fiction novel?
well you have to remeber they were constantly high, and heroin and cocaine can make you see shit so it may not be exagerated, just hallucinations that seemed real

The book is exagerated to a certain aspect. But these things happened twenty years ago so its hard to re tell, and I'm sure when you put half the stuff these guys did back in the 1980's down in print, it's going to gross your average reader out.
And fuck you Motley Crue are sell outs, they're one of the best bands to come out of the 80's and are still going at it and sound tighter than more than half of the shitty over produced rock you hear on modern airwaves.

Motley is good at the type of stuff they write. I've alwasys liked it, even if the songs they write are a little less complex than your average rock band! But, that is sometimes a good thing! I don't think they need to make shit up or exaggerate their rock star stories to sell books. I would have preferred they told the truth, then stories about apartments being posessed by the devil and sex stories that seem made up ?

I don't need to be a rock star to detect bullshit when I read it! It's one thing to exaggerate sex stories or to tell the world that you nailed someones ear to a table at a party. But the bit about practicing black magic or getting into Satanism, only to get spooked by objects moving in thin air in your apartment? Well, that just makes it all the more difficult to believe the other stuff? I thought the Dirt was an autobiography, not a science fiction novel?

The book is exagerated to a certain aspect. But these things happened twenty years ago so its hard to re tell, and I'm sure when you put half the stuff these guys did back in the 1980's down in print, it's going to gross your average reader out.
And fuck you Motley Crue are sell outs, they're one of the best bands to come out of the 80's and are still going at it and sound tighter than more than half of the shitty over produced rock you hear on modern airwaves.

@Xarfax321 yea i agree its gunna be tough,, i think the movie shouldnt be made.. the books about the survival of the band its not something to be taken lightly..i think a movie would be a mochery to the book however if the movie passes nikki's approval i guess it'll compliment the book rather than just be a horrible attempt at making a movie of it.. but i have to say if they can make a movie and fit everything in it... ill be def buying it cuz it will be one hell of a movie
