If your the same hair color as her. You can use lemon juice but you what I do is I add in really dark coffee. It works great and I have noticed a lighter hair color with a couple of uses

@cazzijazzi The lighten the hair process is permanent, it's as if you dyed your hair with chemicals. But it will fade so if you lighten it and it seems like your hair color hasn't change, just wait a week (if it's sunny out) then you can definitely see how your hair lightens :) Just remember to wash out the Apple cider vinegar (or lemon juice) after you're done putting it in your hair for 30-45 min.

@caranewman1 I have bleached, permed, and dyed my hair and it works well on my hair. just remember to wash out the lemon juice (or apple cider vinegar) after done putting it in your hair for 30-45 min :)

@adnillin I definitely didn't notice a change in my hair color after the first 2 tries but as time goes by (especially during those hot sunny summer days), my hair color lightened considerably. Sun is a big key to this process, good luck :)
