@AyanRafique lol i would if i could explain it. XD like, at some points it feels like its two different songs played on top of each other? if that makes sense? Of course, im talking about minor points
yeah, me too. same as @nesz719. your very young, so stay focused. sounds good & you have a solid foothold, but as @nesz719 said, FEEL the music. anyone can learn the 'technical' side of playing guitar, but the true emotion of your music comes through your instrument when you are comfortable & playing from your heart. expand your influences. that can only help.
hey, I got your message dude.. I can't remember where I'd posted my comment on a video of you. Could you um tell me where exactly or what is that video exactly?
Isn't bad but needs a lot of improvement.
TEMPO. You gotta break away from your cage when playing a piece like metal or any other shreds. Be one with the music. Feel the rhythm of it and blast it.
DEXTERITY. For me this is the real deal in guitar shredding. You gotta hit all the notes at the right time and never miss anything.
At the end of like three phrases in a row, even though it may be at a different position. Also, try to play along to backing tracks with actual chords and take into consideration how you affecting the harmony by which notes you hit. (like for example, if playing over power chord with a b and an f#, you might hit a c# to get a suspended feel.) Anyway, I hope this helps, and I dont seriously think that I am better than Steve Vai. Hope you dont hate me.
I will be honest, all of my comments that you see are completely sarcastic and false. I get an odd sense of pleasure out of pissing people on youtube off. But I will be honest with you, this wasn't bad. Some things you might want to do are try to break out of the cage and gain a better control of the neck when improvising. Also, your technique and vibrato needs some work, loosen up your thumb when you pick. Also, take into consideration the phrase finishing notes, you often hit the same note
For this type of improv, i like to learn as many scales as possible, and practice playing with them so you know exactly how each note from each scale sounds. Then you can start switching modes where it may sound goo(this only you can figure out). For learning scales i would highly HIGHLY recommend the Guitar Grimoire series. (the black one for the scales :D)
Thank you. I'm no monster player. But I've seen monster players :)
