Today two collaborating drug company's, Human Genome and Glaxo Smithcline released data for it's lupus fighting drug called Benlysta. The drug company will be seeking FDA approval. I don't know the full details but the drug appears to prevent or reduce outbreaks or flare ups of lupus. From what I have read Benlysta stops the immune system from attacking normal cells. I hope this medicine works and can help prevent this disease. I also help that it's affordable.
Lupus has robbed me from living for 8 years now. The pain is debilitating. Dr. Wallace is my physician as depicted on your video. He's wonderful. But, along with the chemotherapy treatments, high dose i.v. steroid treatments, plaquonal, etc...I get exhausted simply walking to the bathroom everyday. Getting family members to understand that Lupus is a very serious disorder, is the hardest part about having this horrible SLE. I get no help, no support and no sympathy from anyone, family and doctors. They just ignore me. They act as if they wish I would just go away.

if theres is a pharmaceutical drug that come up with a drug that controls inflammation and has safe side effects or a developed drug available in the market that is effective in controling inflammation also with safe side effects profile then it can bring a promising treatment for a broad range of inflammatory disease including lupus...because one of the main thing about of lupus is the immune system releasing toxins to various body organs for inflammation.
