These are the signs of the end times. God gave the dominion of the earth to man. and man gave it to the devil. The earth is satans domain. Thats why we have poverty and evil. Michael savage hated to hear this.
HOW TO NOT BE POOR: finish high school, dont break the law, and dont have a baby until you are at least 25 years old and in a financially stable committed relationship. the reason liberals hate this comment is that it does not involve taxpayer money or another government program. poverty is a personal responsibility problem not a public policy problem. welfare makes and keeps people poor.
@y0nd3r he'll never get the Democrat nomination, least of all because he isn't a Democrat but because he's left-wing you guys really haven't recovered from McCarthyism yet, if he was a UK politician hypothetically of course (like his brother and nephew who are both Green politicians the former still sits as a current Oxford councillor) he'd sit with Caroline Lucas and the Greens Party or Selma Yaqoob and George Galloway and the Respect Party.
"1 person dies in America every 12 minutes" do to lack of proper medical care. Think, put a face to this number, that's is a equal number to the people who were killed on 9-11-2001 every 25 days!
I know it sounds like a lot of facts and numbers to most of you, but I have see the human face attached to them, I have seen the piss sheets hanging out the windows of housing projects, because they have to make a choice between milk or the laundry mart, I have seen how drug dealers and gangs have taken over impoverished city blocks, this is a cancer in the fabric of America and it is spreading.
The poor don't vote? Sanders should be the norm for the Democratic party. Obama is struggling a deadly ravine in order to cow-tow to the independents, but has lost them now anyway. Continuing the tax cuts for the rich, castrating EPA, half-assed reforms... Sanders however would get this large group of non-voters to support the party, and he has, unlike it seems every other senator, maintained his heart and his head.
Though I am not certain that those in their gold-plated ivory towers or those they pay to do their bidding care, I am grateful, Bernie Sanders, for people like you who are willing & able to speak truth to power.
Disgusting. Corrupt pigs feeding at corporate troughs. Sociopaths. How much longer do they think they can squeeze what's left of the middle class and shut out the poor? Something has to give. I hope it's soon.
My youngest brother died because he had no health insurance. There is no way someone without insurance could get diagnosis or treatment early enough to make a difference.
No soldier should continue to re-enlist to fight in these bankrupting occupations while children with no insurance and poor adults are allowed to die simply because they are poor ! Fascism is indeed not only alive and well in America it is also growing stronger by the day and our president along with the democratic party need to take senator Bernie Sanders example into mind instead of continually strengthening these fascist Tea Baggers by appeasing them as one would feed "red meat" to killers!
It's sad that this guy is one of the very few politicians that stands up for the majority of people in this country without a voice. I fee badly for kids growing up these days. the have a very bleak future to look forward to.
Every group of animals has a collective noun; for example, we say a "pride of lions" or a "gaggle of geese." How appropriate it is that a group of baboons is referred to as a "congress of baboons."
@YouKnowWhoElse He said it last night in the GOP debate. HE said people should take respnisibility for their actions, and if they don't want to pay for insurance, let the church take them, or let them die. The audience roared with approval. Look around, its everywhere.
I am one of those families who has fallen from middle class to poverty Its effected my health I was always a very healthy person but with the stress of trying to find a job to support my family and prevent me loosing everything i worked so hard for, my blood pressure has gone up. My children are young but i worry daily about what kind of tommorow they will have. Pretty soon we will be living out on the streets because the shelters are full. Thank You for speaking out.
Thank you once again Bernie. I am one of those people out here who at age 63, is two years shy of collecting Medicare. Were it not for a local program through the University of Rochester/Strong Hospital, I wouldn't have any medical care at all. As it is, I don't remember when I last had care for my teeth and getting new glasses is a real struggle financially. As for the tea-jerks, they hear what Bernie is saying but they just don't care. If we die, well so be it.

As Ron Paul says, "No expensive insurance? Go ahead and die! It's not my problem you're prone to disease and poverty." The GOP loves America, they just hate those pesky Americans.
Senator, What a wonderful gift you are to this nation. I pray that you are benefited by your good works in service of the ppl. May you be always protected & kept well so that your voice be heard loud & clear across this land. May other politicians see your good & become inspired to follow in your footsteps. May the ppl see clearly the greed & the abuse of power by those intent on misinforming & division. May All works return quickly from whence it comes good to good & bad to bad. So it is.
I congratulate Senator Sanders for having the courage to clearly spell out the ceaseless war on the middle-class and poor by the GOP. Their greedy, insensitive policies have gifted 21.6% of the American children with the reward of poverty and a shorter lives. They are pushing more Americans out of the middle-class and under the poverty level. Please commit to save America by rejecting the GOP.
Thank you Mr. Sanders, it is good to know that average American people still have one voice in D.C that speaks for the people. Whereas the other elected officials seem to work for the big corporations and wall street bankers. They may hear you but I believe that with their agenda, you may as well be talking to a wall. Thank you again for speaking for us.
I am shocked that Americans have a lower life expectency then mexico in some demographics... I cant believe this naction is calling itself the greatest naction on earth when over 10 million kids dont have health coverage....
Sen. Sanders, I am one of those who fall into one of the categories you mention. I am afraid that the Repuglithugs are going to rape and pillage all of the social services safety net that had been erected since the Great Depression. We can no longer trust that Congress and the President will acknowledge that Americans need help to live because of circumstances beyond our control. I for one am appalled at the disastrous policies of the Tea Baggers. Please keep stating the facts,
please keep giving voice to our fears of this governmental war on people who are poor. Please don't stop giving voice to the fact that all we want is to live. In this country one of the richest in the world, we are the bottom of the heap, but we have as much right to medical care, food, housing and medicine as others do. Don't stop your crusade to help those of us who are less fortunate and cannot work. We are the rabble the Republicans are afraid of, don't stop until they hear us loud and clear

@journeyer58 Hmm all of these "disastrous" effects come from when the Democrats had control of both houses of Congress and the Presidency. Therefore it's the Democrats fault not Republicans. No I'm not a republican, just an informed independent. Also, if the poor don't vote..who's fault is that????
