Actually prop 8 indirectly has to do with the schools. I cite Canada as an example. I live in Canada and they legalized it here and even some churches bless gay marriage.

i looked up pansexuality and it sounds like bisexuality but it has a trendier sound sort of like "metrosexual"...we are the same at our core I would imagine in that we are all Life...but our desires based off our sense and their attractrions defintly distinguishes us from each other.
A pansexual is a person who is attracted to & doesn't limit their ability to love someone based on their gender or sex. Thus, they would be attracted to men, women, and pre-op & post-op transgenders. In all, they don't limit their ability to love because they are attracted to everyone EQUALLY.

What I feel bad about is the $73 million wasted on this campaign because it is just going to get overturned like Prop 22. In re Marriage Cases found that gay people are commonly subject to biased treatment & sexual orientation is a suspect class under the CA Constitution. Suspect classification requires the highest level of scrutiny applied to laws infringing upon their rights.

Prop 8 is simply bad. Plain and simple. And absolutely: It's wrong to eliminate fundamental rights, and all it does is to hurt our relationships, our families, our kids. That we even have to FIGHT over this in 2011 is absolutely shameful. Prop 8 has been deemed unconstiutional and I have confidence that this status will be upheld. IF someone wants to be taught about family, instructions and materials shall teach RESPECT for marriage. And yes, there are abortions without parental consent. that's 'cause the abortion is the issue of the person who is pregnant. there have been cases of abuse and forced-birth on occasions where it is illegal for an abortion without parental consent. some girls just aren't SAFE with their family knowing their condition and feel they need an abortion rather than going through that abuse.

I wouldn't know about the "gay gene" being real but I have also heard that homosexuality is partially caused by Hormone exposure whilst in the womb (most people agree that Homosexuality has a combination of causes. some from birth and others during our formation as sexual entities (adolescence)
but my point still stands. I was raised by heterosexuals and was brought up to only see heterosexual relationships as valid. It took me AGES to realise I was gay cause of this.

When Canada legalized gay marriage, they appointed a gay couple to oversee the school curiculum to make sure it makes people knowledgable that homosexuality is "normal" under the banner of "intolerance" and "fighting discrimination". That would already include domestic partnerships, so calling it marriage wouldn't change curriculum. And, you know what, ALL the teachers I know, which is about 30 or so, were AGAINST Prop 8. The government has the reponsibility of protecting minorities from opression of the majority. Marriage under law is a civil matter, not a religious one...so keep religious definitions out of law. If they have love, balanced education & involvement in society they will grow up fine...if they are sheltered, smothered or abused by people they will have issues. Parents are there to guide children through their lives but most of the education occurs outside of the home. What I feel bad about is the $73 million wasted on this campaign because it is just going to get overturned like Prop 22. In re Marriage Cases found that gay people are commonly subject to biased treatment & sexual orientation is a suspect class under the CA Constitution. Suspect classification requires the highest level of scrutiny applied to laws infringing upon their rights.

OWN standard, since when is wanting all people to be equal their OWN standard? That is completely laughable. I love how people try to rationalize discrimination, they always sound so stupid. What is illegal is what Churches did during this election & they have had themselves reported for violating tax exempt status. You are right we should use a neutral word & take marriage out of law, call everyones relationship a domestic partnership or civil union & leave marriage to churches like in Germany.

Don't treat those who support prop 8 are all from Churches. There are many people not belong to any churches but they feel that letting gay marriage pass seemed like being impose to change their traditional concept of marriage. That has violated other's rights to realize the Marriage concept. Therefore human rights supporters have actually violated the basic of human rights.

No gay person violated your rights...gay people just had their rights eliminated. It is illegal under the 14th Amendment of The US Constitution and the California Constitution's Equal Protection Clause to treat others differently, to discriminate. How is gay marriage a violation of your rights? Nobody was making you marry your samesex, straight marriages were still legal. Human rights supporters didn't violate anyones rights, the promoted and were supporters of EQUAL RIGHTS FOR ALL!

Gay marriage violated the tradionalists' rights because they force others to accept a concept that marriage has to include homosexual. Traditionalists beleive marrigae is only man and woman. It is nothing about 14th Amendment of US constitution and "Separate but Equal". Human rights activists neither have rights to impose their believes of practicing gay marriage has no effects on traditionalist' believes. Both sides are trying to impose their believes on each other. I'm just a spectator.

You are absolutely correct about a belief has to be protected by law. But I only see a conflict of interest between GLBT and Traditionalist. And the traditionlist believes that homosexual marriage is an abomination. Through out history, most countries have laws to protect marriage only between man and woman. It is now that GLBT are fighting for their acceptance. Human rights... I personally think that's the downside of Democracy. It also proves that humans cannot really govern themselves.

Human rights are the triumph of democracy, the reason it even exists. If you don't want human rights then go to a Communist country. Humans can definitely govern themselves, as long as they govern equally.

Once gay law has passed, I can invit all the Asian commrads to US and get married either homosexual and heterosexual. Then divorce after several years to obtain all tax benifits. There will be loop holes in the law. That's we also have to consider when letting gay marrigae in our society.

Jesus was a made up character, so if Mickey Mouse wanted to die for me too...go for it! Get your religion out of my legal, government sanctioned marriage and keep your religion for your church to recognize your marriage. That is what we want, a seperation of church and state, exactly what the fictional Jesus had said when the Romans occupied Judea. Homosexuality isn't a sin, impressing your religion on others in society and hating others because they aren't like you are condemned in the Bible.
