Hey JD. I have tried to get these games working with MAME on both Vista 32bit and Windows7 64bit. I can get the games to load up in MAME, I can add credit to the machine but for the life of me I cannot work out how to play them. You can download some of these roms at retro roms i don't know why aussie's are addicted to these things i just put around $1500 of emulated money in Black rhino and getting peanuts in return. The sound reminds me of pensioners at the local pub. This has put me off playing the real things

I really missed these games. Especially the Black Rhino and Enchanted forest. The old 9 line Kenny Rogers became The Gambler, maybe because of rights contracts. I wished they have the rom on that one also.

@Intsikanoy Luckily there are a few people out there that get hold of the old boards and dump the roms so they are not lost forever. I agree its a shame to let these great slots just disappear after they enjoyed such popularity for so long. I think it would be like throwing away an immaculate Playboy pinball machine just because video game consoles are more popular. These slot roms need to be preserved for many reasons, I also hope to see the mk5 and mk6 drivers for mame come along soon too.

I have downloaded and installed "mamepuiXT_x86.exe", latest version (V0.142, dated 4/7/2011.) And the latest ROMS I can locate for those two pokies. Am I really doing something wrong??

@te3tomaz Hi mate. They are mk5 roms. There is no working mk5 driver as yet, it is still being developed. You are doing nothing wrong. You are loading a rom that doesnt have a working driver :)

2. I have downloaded and installed MAMEUI Plus eXtended 0.142 (Apr 7, 2011).

3. I have located and installed a few ROMs which claim to contain some Aristocrat games. I have placed the downloaded ROM's into the MAME directory. The MAME distribution installed about 8 or 9 .zip files, then I added a few more, like "aristmk5.zip", "geisha.zip".

4. When I start MAME, the select "audit all games", it responds with:

5. The "available" list shows only 7 games available (Alien Arena, Blade Master, China Gate. Ridlee, and Robby Roto -in black, and Geisha and Queen of the Nile - in red)

6. Selecting any of the names in black seem to work OK, but I really want to run the Geisha and Queen of the Nile. In both cases, I get a message that "this game doesn't work - the sound emulation is not yet complete" -continued next post!

@te3tomaz You have done everything correct. QOTN and Geisha are mk5 roms. They are NOT supported yet by mame. You must wait for the mk5 driver to become available and then you can run these roms. In the meantime you can run any of the mk4 roms. The list of working playable roms is in the INFO that I sent you. Enjoy
