  • its funny how u guys argue where the karipap comes from,.,~india~singapore~malaysia~thailand,.,it comes from malaysia,.

  • It is correct that Karipap is influenced from Malaysia to Thailand and a lot of neighboring countries. A lot of cuisines in Asia for example have similarities in many dishes and this is one of them. I don't see the point of arguing where it's originated from as long as people take the time to notice and taste the deliciousness and that is worth wide (bring ppl together) Plus, I rather be proud that foreigners know of my home country cuisine. I actually grew up eating it as after school snack.

  • Curry puffs is from SIngapore , its a Singapore Heritage We are the original

  • yan can cook and so can you =- yancancook dot c o m

  • not malay food is indian food.

  • looks yummy! .... but if you fry Puff pastry, wouldn't it be soaked in too much oil?

  • this kind of food is nearly Thai dumpling that called Kanom Jeeb or Pan Klib or Pan Sib or Paeng Sib (this food is called like a kind of Chinese dumpling that use Gyo wrapping and steamed). and nearly with Hainanese snack that called Bua or Bua Sou. all of them differenced with skin, size, brushed with yolk, and filling inside.

for curry puff and Bua style we add fried curry or mashed mung bean or sweeten ash pumpkin and coconut (Bua origin filling) or fish or egg custard.

  • Thai people didn't claim this food is Thai originated but they think this is Portuguese heritage because of pie or puff wrapping. somewhere ate with Ajad (Malay cucumber salad in vinegar).

    we pronounce "karipab", too.

  • the chef only knows how to eat..

doesnt even know whre the food really originates..-_-

  • I like Malaysian food :)

  • karipap actually originated from Malaysia. It is a Malay word which means curry puffs, as you explained in the video. You can find karipap everywhere in Malaysia. It comes only with the potates+chopped chicken filling. Good job on the video, though, in spite of some misinformation inside =)
